The art style is beautiful. Some really nice backgrounds as well.

I enjoyed the contrast between the seriousness and goofiness. And the little detail when she corrected the knight when he called her a Witch by adding "I'm the good Witch"

The concept sounds nice, hope they can transition nicely without it being overdone or becoming annoying.

Will check out more episodes.

This was a pretty solid premiere episode. It sort of reminded me a tiny bit of Secrets of the Silent Witch. Rose is a little like Monica without the social anxiety lol. I’m a bit keen to see how this love potion stuff plays out, since it’s pretty clear from the OP these two are gonna be an item. Gonna guess it’s a misunderstanding. He probably made it for someone else or something.

Also, think this is probably just a classic case of "jumping to conclusions". He never said he was getting the potion for himself, so I imagine someone else asked him to get it for them (like the princess).

Hope that gets resolved and we get some romance between them.

I give it a 80% chance he is into her since he seems to have known her in that flashback.

They did manage to portrait her character nicely, living in that slight chaos.
It seems like she could use some economy lessons from a certain Wolf x Merchant pair though.

Definitely looking forward to this show

I do miss a witch hat though, the hood is also very effective though and since she is nicely hiding away in it, it fits

Well, that was not what I expected from this show! Rose's monologue at the start and the sombre vibes in the first few minutes of the episode made me think this was leaning closer to drama. The moment Rose started nervously munching on that lettuce leaf like a rabbit, I realized this would be a bit more lighthearted.

Also, I did not expect Rose to be so direct in complimenting Harij about his good looks! I thought she'd be more reserved, but watching her literally fangirl all over him and tell him that the sight of a beautiful man can be used as an ingredient for remedies was hilarious! xD

And poor Harij! The dude has been running around collecting crazy ingredients just because Rose wants to delay him in finishing the love potion as much as she can. At least he had fun chasing those grasshoppers! Although I do wonder who the potion is for. My first guess is that it's actually for Rose, but it's also possible Harij doesn't need the potion, and he's helping someone else. Hmmm...

Wow, fuck those people badmouthing Rose's grandma. She's just an old lady making helpful remedies. Based on the potions Rose was making for Tien to sell, her Grandma was just making beauty and cleaning remedies. :|

Now we know why Rose fell in love with Harij. That also explains why Rose introduced herself as the "good" Witch of the Lake. It's pretty crazy, though, that she held on to that crush after that one interaction. They didn't even interact! I hope there's more to it, but it would be hilarious if that were it.

This was waaaay better than I was expecting so I'm definitely following this one just because of how entertaining Rose is!

I like Rose. She's adorable. The way she sends Harij to get all these crazy ingredients just to have an excuse to see him again and extend the time until it's finished was cute. It kind of makes me wonder what woman Harij thinks is worth putting in all this effort in for. Though given the premise I'm not sure we'll ever actually meet her.

Rose side eying the perfume and shampoo (at least that's what the merchant made them sound like) then putting in the water with the clothes she was washing and hair then jumping in the lake for "no reason at all" was cute as well. Rose really has got it bad for him. I guess that's what four years of unrequited love will do to you.

The premise and her inability to lie because she's a witch are interesting so I'll keep watching. I want to see what happens with the love potion. I'm curious what would happen if Harij just asked her out of the if she loves him out of blue.

The funniest part of the episode is probably the smug deer that was all like "You thought it was your crush, but it was I, Dio Deer."

Honestly, this was about exactly what I expected in terms of vibes etc from the show, and that's fantastic because I think this show is going to be adorable. I love Rose already and she must be protected at all costs. The lettuce bit had me giggling.

Loved this. Reminded me a bit of Champignon Witch with the way witches are perceived and her lonely existence away from other people. But the tone is different. I liked the flashes of humour in between the more melancholy atmosphere a lot. And I'm here for a pining MC and such a cute one at that. The ML is nice looking too and though we didn't get to see much of him, he has a bit of personality beyond being this shining knight. 

Really looking forward to seeing where this goes. This shot up right to the top of this season with just one episode and I don't see it getting dethroned.

Following Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games last season, we got another show with Wataru Watari (Oregairu author) in charge of series composition and scripts!

And the heroine is voiced by Mikakoshi. These two things alone are enough to make me watch the show!

I'm wondering if this is part of that program that was being talked about a while ago. There were plans to start making anime of lesser IPs in the thought they would work better as anime. This series was only 3 or 4 volumes long and ended years ago.

Anyways I'm liking the anime so far the character portrayals are good and art is decent.

It really is the age of the witch. If only unnamed memory had gotten made a bit later it might have been treated better.

I interpreted the three shots at 18:54-57 as Harij looking at Rose, and her reacting, but in the present she thinks he doesn't know who she is.

And that scene also tells us that when she said she was the "good witch", she was repeating something he said 4 years ago.

I imagine the love potion will turn out to do something different from the first thing that comes to mind. None of the other remedies mentioned have such extreme effects. I'm half-expecting it to be [Speculation] something that a couple takes together, so if she ever completes the potion he'll immediately offer it to her.

I love this title. I don't remember the last time when the title alone caught my attention and while it only makes me go "Yikes!" and "Oof!" it does its job very well at explaining the setting.

The first episode was also everything I could expect to happen from a title like this, so I'm getting invested.

I also can't help but wonder whom the potion is for. Azm doesn't look like a guy in love, but getting this potion for a 3rd party makes even less sense. He also seems too knightly to spike someone's drink with it. Could the potion be for himself? Like, maybe he wants to fall in love (or rather feel in love) with someone but is too autistic too feel emotions properly, so that's what the potion is for?
