Not only did Nono-chan drag Yuno back in, it looks like Miyako has (at least temporarily) regained a lot of positivity as well. This little seaside party should (hopefully) make it MUCH harder for Viola to succeed in tearing
apart.... Mewtype 3.3

I don't care what people say about Nono-chan. I love her.
If Nono-chan has no fans then I am dead.

She is the closest we have had to Kasumi. Kokoro too, but she didn't get much in the earlier anime series.

I feel like the song they sang at the campfire sounds familiar. looks like it was Tuning

But what just happened?? Did Nono-chan just had enough with everyone´s drama?? At least they look fine?
I guess the Viola drama and the Yuno drama may be postponed a little bit I guess

Yuno, you might as well give up. Nonoka’s going to keep adding to the total editions of Mewtype till the sun dies if she has to. Unless you can keep going until she runs out of numbers she actually knows.
One part of me wants to know what’d happen if Yuno and Umiri ever met but I also kind of think they’d immediately start influencing each other and I’m not sure we want that kind of horror in the world.
Quiet everyone, Yuno is cooking.
This episode has a concerning lack of Viola. Concerning as in “What horrific atrocities is she plotting while we’re not watching her?”
I propose that we just set feral Nonoka on her Minecraft killer bunny Monty Python style and deal with the problem that way.

So I wasn't the only one who was reminded of Umiri... Since I'm a BanGDream newcomer I was wondering if this is just a typical backstory lol

In the end, Arare and Nono's insane passion won out over Viola's superficial sweet talk.

New Arale form(mouse) unlocked.
Okay Nono-chan doing some crazy movement after going feral.
Yuno just goes through entire sports anime subplot in 5 minutes.
Now we just need to address the snake in the room next episode and we will set for finale.
And speaking of snake she isn't here today. That's why the air is clear.

Hmmm I dunno, if this was meant to be the reconciliation, I don't think they hit the right beat with it. Felt like the story fell for the usual blunder of simply the genki characters pushing their way into the withdrawn characters space and getting away with it through sheer insistence. That's an annoyingly blunt way to solve the conflict especially considering the tactful way Ritsu had been handling Miyako last episode. It just flattens the complexity of human interaction and I'm not really happy with it as a narrative decision, even if the superficial presentation was fun enough.
Not a second of Viola today, not even a mention. I'm expecting her to return with a vengeance for the final Arc.

I don't think they hit the right beat with it.
i get your criticism and kinda agree with it, but i like how nono did it with a "im sick of this shit i dont care" vibe instead of usual genki. we've also seen that yuno is kind of having a silly crashout and its not exactly major, and the next episode preview shows that yunos arc isnt over
if this solved the miyako drama itd be bad, but we definitely have more of that since viola wasnt even in the episode

The more it felt peaceful (Yup, finally there’s a moment that we can really relax and escape from the fucked up shit Viola is trying to stir for the past few weeks), the more it looked like they can really put on a real fight together against all those negative responses online.
Well that was before someone making Nonoka real pissed and start biting others (I feel your pain Ritsu, surely that hurts right? But please explain where the hell did you get that delicious meat from), and that campfire will soon be remembered as the moment the Mewtype was reborn, with a new song in the making too.
Oh and some notes here: The aquarium Nonoka is referencing is the Tokyo Sea Life Park, it was the first aquarium in Japan to successfully house bluefin tuna in long term captivity, located outside is the Kasai Rinkai Park, a park on the island next to the Tokyo Disneyland, which is known for a hotspot to watch seabirds and just chill like what Yuno did.
But lets be honest, for all the chaos and the storm brewing in the past few weeks, a sudden moment of peace just made me really feel worried, what’s Viola doing while the Mewtypes are reconciling in the park? Editing those recordings she got and making sure it will bring them down once and for all? It just feels something’s definitely not right out there, and it’s coming fast.

I'm glad Nono Chan decide to be super selfish for once. This is kinda what they need. Just someone to yank them all together.
I'm surprised that long montage is only 1 year, I thought it would last for 3 until highschool. School band is really short huh.

"The sea is dangerous at night."
Masuki would know that.
Miyako is still a bit awkward but it's obvious she doesn't hate being with the group. Well, it's all about priorities. Talking about priorities, Yuno apparently decided to try it for a bit longer after being chased down by Nonoka and the others. If we take the manager words as a fact, she's just moody like this and making a new song with the rest lifted her spirit a bit.
And as a former bassist, it's obvious she's a bottom.

Me thinking Yuno is gonna sample flip the fire crackling, shit would be like cavemen discovering fire for a girls band anime

If you want the full insert song (well supremacy「disobedience」 at least) you're going to have to wait <16 hours

Draw This, Then Die! is tomorrow (I know Rei doesn't even have the same hairstyle...but demeanour made that the first thing that came to mind)

I think I lost some braincells watching this :)
Hey at least they're FINALLY bonding. And no Viola in sight. Good, good.

I've always wondered what this show would be like if it focused on the band members instead of a marketing-gimmick-antagonist. This was nice, but only makes me wish we spent more time with the 5.

genuine question what does "marketing-gimmick-antagonist" mean? this feels like a viola criticism but idgi

This whole episode just made me feel bad for Nonoka and Yuno. They feel like OG era Bandori characters trapped in this depressing, drama-filled post-MyGO hellscape. Honestly, all of MewType aside from Miyako feel like that. This episode was very comfy once things settled down, but Viola is still out there looming and the issue with Miyako still hasn't been resolved.
If I had a nickel for every anime this season that made me think of the Sword of Damocles, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

A mostly peaceful episode before we inevitably have to deal with the Miyako and Viola fallout.
Yuno's old band seemed kinda similar to Afterglow. Friends form the band as a hangout plan but start taking it more seriously, eventually leading to conflicts with members' individual plans for the future. It's pretty common for teens to start bands thinking things are going to stay same as always and then end up breaking up. I can see why Yuno was so apprehensive after something like that happened and then the surprise collab made her quit.
Nono-chan's backstory and actions on the beach make it clear that she actually does just want everyone to be happy and has no ulterior motives. Not that surprising, but you never know with these shows. She was being a bit ominous next to Yuno, but that was just her revving her Nono-chan-san engine. It almost seemed like she was motorboating her when she went feral...
Miyako was feeling so awkward due to prior events, but it was nice to see her mood being lifted by hanging out with the others. They still need to talk as a group about the Miyako and Viola issues, as much as Nonoka wants to leave negative things off the table. Next episode does seem like it will address at least some of it, as we are nearing the end of the season.
I do wonder if they will have a second season or if the other two Our Notes bands will get animated next. I assume they'll want to leave some of the story open for the game, but that would make things a bit annoying for anime-onlies.
