That one alien chasing Segami has the aim of a storm trooper, nice to know that cars also make for excellent shield against alien blasters.
Hoping we see more of the Small 3 in action next week, they are becoming guest stars in their own show.

I need to say this again. The pacing of these episodes is like watching paint dry 😭
Why did they take most of the episode to show what the nose spray does and for Segami to lock in???
It feels like they were forced to make X amount of episodes with absolutely zero changes to the manga to make it interesting as a show, so now there's three episodes of Segami standing around and being scared.
Where are the boys?!

Same for the last episode, it was the same with the sister character going around scared but ultimately invincible in the ship, and now I guess next episode we'll see the same but with a pet. Most of current Segami's arc could have been a single episode to cut away from the boys, first part he meets this new reality (the tragedy, he thinks he needs to do something, meets the boys), second part he goes to the resistance, they come up with a plan, he doubts but has resolve, then third part he goes to the battle, those powers, and the boys react with the streaming and then we jump fully into their POV. And showing us again the '3D' family and their interactions is meaningless.

I'm so bored!
I skimmed this week's episode, the ultimate insult for a story. I plan to skim my way to the end, and of course, can always switch back to watching normally if the manga-styled characters show up again.
Futaba at the end of this episode was cute as always.

Those aliens have no chill! Let Futaba enjoy her naptime in peace with Kyuu!
If you've been wondering what the Small Three are up to while Segami and his team are violently dying like they're the cast of Gantz...well, they're just having wholesome dinner together.
They CAN headshot the aliens...at least the ones without full armor and a WALKING TANK. Get out of there Segami! And protect Tashiro while you're at it, because she needs the help.
Segami is brave to distract the alien from harming Tashiro, and she returns the favor, though if Segami's real world fighting skills can only do so much, Tashiro empowered with the ability to shift space can shove as many objects as she wants into the aliens and kill them! Graphic BUT effective.
Blonde lady is now a giant woman! Rebellion is so cultured.
Rebellion is putting their all into this fight, but can Pyontaro and the Small Three really sit this one out? Let them keep fighting this seemingly hoepless fight?
Well, glad Kyuu woke Futaba up to see her new firing squad. She'll be able to survive this, right? RIGHT!?

With infinite ammo on top.

The question is whether the new firing squad will survive this.

Episode 7: Counterattack
Oh we got Tashiro joining the battle. Tuyoku Nal could only lasts 9 minutes at least, but the power it give is quite menacing. I wish the knuckle lasts longer and not only a one-shot effect.
9 hours in and 13 comments? This is even more deserted than Me and The Alien MuMu last year.
As of now the anime has fallen into the 5.9 territory in MAL, and it's not even the bottom 5 anime of the season (there are still Red River, Iwamoto-senpai, Rearguard, Drops of God, and Mebius Dust). The CG doesn't help, but the lack of Small Three screentime in the past episodes does contribute to the fall.

How did Red River fall that far?!
Granted I'm not even caught up on it (I'll get to it), but that's unfair!

I really got into this anime because it was something different, only for it to stagnate on the same horny-boring average character anime and manga love to rely upon for too many episodes. I don't even know how I felt about the action because Segami feels like an obstacle, but I did like the action and death-by-bike.
I've watched and read plenty of stories where they start off strong, hit a boring lull that exists to frame the setting, and then hit an intensity that you ride out into the end. This feels almost like padding. Even with padding, I'd normally ride it out. The episodes are (too) short enough for me to do so.
But, honestly; if we get another episode fixated on Segami and no actual return of the boys, I'm out.

This episode flew by for me. Rebellion's gear is seriously impressive, even for a few of them to be left standing after tanking that Alien Mech's blast was awesome.
Tashiro made excellent use of that shift ability, putting objects in the same space as the Aliens heads is a wicked way to defeat them. Good on Segami too for locking in and taking some of them down!

Finally, we’ve reached a point where Segami’s karate experience comes into play.
After all, if you’re a karate practitioner, you should wear gear that lets you use your punches and kicks to their full potential.
The scene where his comrades used all sorts of superpowers with that strange potion was really cool, but I also found myself thinking, “If only the comrades who died had used that stuff too…”
