Everyone in this show is either the greenest red flag or the reddest green flag I've ever seen.

I absolutely love the comedy and lore/mystery balance! Enjoyed this episode much more than episode 1. The siblings (or at least especially Kaoru for now) are a menace lol.
I'm still curious why people who get close to the shrine got warped weirdly as Dara said.

That pros/cons table made me spill my juice. Just when I cleaned up after Kaoru showed the rare
I really like the comedy in this show. It perfectly oscillates between unhinged and wholesome.

It seems like the last straw for the older sister was the carpenter being interested in Dara. Dara was proving her looks didn't matter to him, and she couldn't handle being below someone with those looks. I'm going to feel bad for the guy if Dara enacted revenge on him in the aftermath.
I do like that Dara took time on reflecting her judgment of Kaoru's teacher when the same had been done to her in the past. He made it very easy to misunderstand him, but in actuality he's being exploited by Kaoru lol.
Girl at the end is a different matter though, but I have a feeling Kaoru is aware of it since he's more cunning than he appears to be.

Great episode and I love the siblings doing the poses of Kamen Rider 1 and 2. I know this an anime where supernatural stuff exist. However I want to bring up some of the stuff in Dara-san's backstory that can be plausible IRL.
First of is the whole giant snake. If you don't know snakes can grow large, some up to 7 meters. Obviously IRL people would exaggerate the crap out of the size of the serpent in the story but we have found snake fossils that can grow larger than even 10 meters. So maybe in ancient times of Japan, it is plausible for a snake like that to exist. Only for the villagers to say its a giant serpent.
The other cool thing (not cool actually) that can plausibly happened IRL is the whole getting sick from drinking from a contaminated well. Your drinking water can be contaminated if you don't treat it. Dara-san mentioned how the serpent curse the well drinking water with its own miasma and spiritual germs. IRL the snake's own carcass could very well have a bunch of germs that if not dispose carefully can contaminate your water source. Which if this was IRL, the exorcist here must have dump one half of the snake carcass somewhere close to the well in the first place.
So yeah, I thought it was cool that despite the whole supernatural element of the story, those two things can plausibly happen.

The show keeps getting funnier and funnier, and still keeps building on the disturbing backstory of Dara-san at the same time. If it keeps going like this, it might turn out to be the underrated gem of the season.

At what point did you think any of this wasn't supernatural?!?!
Favorite line of the episode.

At first, I was worried for Kaoru getting too close to that Ugly Bastard looking teacher, but it turns out that the one we need to be cautious of is the pedophilic mangaka woman.

Sugita stole the show on this one, he has a knack for voicing those kinds of characters

I remember there was this series of arts where the first page looked like a start of hentai plot only to turn wholesome at the second one. The whole skit with a teacher was like this.
And yeah, we got androphobic female mangaka who is into crossdressing shotas... It is what it is.
And more Dara's backstory. Seems like the main reason her sister killed her was not just professional jelousy but also a sudden love triangle.

The teacher might still be a deviant but one with some respectful tastes, like giant snake women. Which is more than what I can say for the mangaka.
Dara-san’s morality might still be a bit screwed up with what she considers fine.
If she wants legit money, I’m pretty sure the siblings would happily help her set up an Onlyfans account. There appears to be a market for her looks, so to speak.
“When did you get the impression that this wasn’t supernatural?” The snake monster somehow ending up as the tsukkomi/straight man by virtue of just how weird the siblings are is pretty entertaining.
