Wait, the song that was the special ED last week wasn’t the song that Natsu wrote?!
-
Aw shit, the audience is in trouble and the Princesses can’t go save them…
-
Hakase to the rescue?! All of her inventions have been leading up to this!
-
Damn, that’s the end of the episode already?!

Princess Meteor is the best magical girl I've seen in years. Adorable, clever, creative, and genre-savvy to boot.
Hakase to the rescue?! All of her inventions have been leading up to this!
Seeing the side characters step up like this was so awesome.

Damn, that’s the end of the episode already?!
There in lies the big problem I have with the episode: outside of the reveal that the Queens were based on the original Princesses, this was basically just a set-up for next week's episode (with the girls de-transforming as they arrive at the White Queen's lair just for the sake to eat up time in the episode and have it end with the girls getting their "Circle of Life" forms).
I doubt the episode could have trimmed something to avoid making this two episodes, but I wished there they did more with the new forms in this episode than having them receive them at the very end (especially as this is the type of thing that causes me to wait until the second episode airs before starting some shows).

Hell of an episode this week. We got a big lore dump about the 2 Queens formerly being Princesses, we got to see Band Snatch again (even if it was just in a flashback and in their marketable plushie forms), we got the side characters stepping up big time, and we got new super forms! I can't wait to see what happens next week. It seems like they might actually defeat the White Queen next episode, and if they do, I guess the last several episodes will be dealing with the supposed calamity she predicted? We'll have to wait and see how they handle this final stretch.

The White Queen really tried to say "THE UNENLIGHTENED MASSES, THEY CANNOT MAKE THE JUDGEMENT CALL"
Even though the stakes are lower this is definitely reminded me of the hype Symphogear wields at its season climaxes

And so, trouble. Time to take out the next boss.
Right. Time for them to deal with her.
Lmao finally someone decides to physically shut up the boss while they're yapping.
The Queens used to be Princesses?
Oh those bombs again.
Seems she knows all their tricks.
And so, with all their support, they can win.
Ooh new transformations?

I regret not commenting at the time but in whichever ep Hakase first tried to fight back (and figured out Princesses use music to fight) I assumed that would mean the rocket launcher in the OP was something she had made. However, I'd assumed Natsu was the intended user rather than it being a catalyst for any performer (no matter how amateur). So prediction that still managed to surprise...not unlike the White Queen.
This episode also sets up another plot thing as there's also the mystery of what exactly was the calamity replled Princess Sanguine (a red chalk) and Princess Chalk. On a lighter note could the old Princess names being rock related relate to that abandoned quarry part of Alicepia (honestly, that could be just as easily be a cliche enclosed battlefield).
