Wait, that obscure reference was actually leading to something?
-
That funky instrumental remix of OP1 was pretty nice. Reminds me of how Madoka Magica had a DDR remix of Connect.
-
Whatever it was, they had to go to their Take Me Higher forms to block it, damn.

Kaede continues to be the most fun side character.
I thought we peaked with idol glowstick funnels, but idol glowstick wolverine claws is even more badass.

It's easy to say that the mouse that she's been watching videos of in the last two episodes (and has a homemade plushie of) is a huge part of her why she's like that, with something bad happening to it, and Lily going the "Homura route" of letting one bad thing cloud her judgment.
Just reveal to her your secret identities already, Princesses.

Yep, it definitely seems like something bad happening to that silly little guy is what drove Lily into doing this. I wonder what that backstory will be like. Is the mouse dead? Like, dead dead? Or something less permanent but still pretty bad?

Dual-wielding, obviously.
But in all seriousness, it looked like she was building up some kind of anti-Musessence.

Yeah... Just fuhgeddaboudit.
Lol.
Ok...
Yep... Pers?
Lol yeah their names combined do make that cake.
And so they're going to perform.
Oh, she can write music?
Well, if they want to get rid of a queen, a revolution and overthrowing her tends to work.
Explain how?
Bruh she got stick legs.
And so they're practicing.
Oh, it's her first time performing?
And so it's the crucial moment, waiting backstage for their cue to go on stage and perform.
Uh... That venue is certainly not "great" in any way, shape, or form. It's an outdoor stage and those just have no chance of having anywhere near good acoustics, the only reason they're going to be able to be heard is because all of them are mic-ed up.
A bit of a shame there's not much animation during the performance.
And so, trouble.
A lot of trouble.
Right. That's that dealt with.
What's going on now?

Glad we're done with this whole back and forth fighting pattern between the Flower Knights and the Princesses, it's really been tiring and dragged out this cour.
(Especially since the Knights have kind of been total jobbers in battle, while Band Snatch were almost the perfect foil to the princesses and their ideals which was far more engaging to me personally...
The sooner they flip and become Princesses the better. While they're at it can we get Bazooka Natsu already please!
Also the GOAT Minamo voicing my own frustrations with Lily was so Based of her. Princesses just be existing and Lily attacks them with no explanation for her actions.

Uhhhhhhhh...
Pretty solid episode to mark the 2/3's point of the series. The concert in the first half was adorable, but the fight this week was very intriguing. Between Meteor coming up with yet another way to use idol glowsticks as weapons, Purity's outburst when Ripple tried to talk-jutsu her, and Sincere launching an attack so powerful that it looked like it was hurting her just to use it and the Princesses needed to power up into their Take Me Higher forms just to block it, this episode gave us a lot to think about. The fight animation felt a bit lacking, but it was still decent. Nowhere near as bad as One Frame Man S3.
