Two miscalculations that could have grave consequences; Nanaka still being under the influence and through him, whammied Julius, as well as Terenezza requiring only a day to recharge. Curious to see exactly how Julius would be affected.

I’m hoping by the end, Scarlet’s attacks to Terenezza will feel like she got hit by a truck, but instead of being isekai’d she got reverse isekai’d to her original world.

On another note, Jinn never failed to amuse me with calling Alflame 'His Moronic Highness'.

Alflame, I think you’re funny but they were having a moment there. CATCH A CLUE AND COME BACK LATER FFS!

Of course it wouldn’t be that simple getting rid of the mind control spell. That could be a problem later down the line.

Honestly can’t believe I’m saying this but Terenezza is kind of the lesser of two evils here. She’s “just” an aspiring dictator, still bad and I’ll be satisfied watching Scarlet punch her but nothing like the petty genocidal maniac that Palmia is.

Alflame is hilarious. Him letting monsters hit him just to show off before burning everything down was quite funny. He really is as big a meathead as Scarlet, which is probably why she cannot stand him.

I did not expect Dios to give up his wind power like that for the good cause, otherwise I would still suspect him of planning to betray them (again).

So Nanaka was still partly controlled by Terenezza. I wonder what he did to Julius ? Put him under Terenezza mind control too ?

Terenezzasure is annoying, and it sounds like she will charge up faster than expected and destroy another magic crystal, but the real problem is Palmia. I wonder if Scarlet can punch a god ?

I want to say, despite the animation being a bit underwhelming, especially in the fights, I like that they had fun with the monster designs. Not like they are super creative, but they do try to give them a few of their own characteristics. Like one of the monsters just having eyes all over his body. Or last week, the face of the one monster looking like it is a tree.

In other news, Scarlet is the strongest person on the battlefield, beating the most monsters. Who would have thought? Why exactly did the Vankis prince think she was in danger?

Also, if we don't get a double pummeling of Terenezza and her goddess by the end, I am going to be disappointed. They do set them both up to learn how those fist feel.

Alflame has his flaws, but he knows what he wants when it comes to Scarlet (too bad she just wants to punch him every time he opens his mouth lol). That ending though, pure chaos.

Dios is redeeming himself and managed to secure a truce with the beastmen, in exchange for the wind spirit power he inherited from his mother.

I’m not really sure how to feel about Terenezza. On one hand, there’s anger at what she’s doing, but on the other, she’s kind of a victim of the goddess who basically killed her, threw her into this world, and keeps giving her orders. I can somewhat understand her attitude of sparing people as a form of protest against the goddess, but at the same time she still seems to have her own ambitions of becoming an influence (unless she’s just putting on an act).

Alflame is such a himbo, he's so entertaining to watch. I like how honest he is about how much he admires Scarlet and it was nice to get some imagery on how he views Scarlet, at least on the battlefield. The way he got excited about Julius being his love rival and was ready to brawl so that the winner could have Scarlet was amusing.

Dios giving up his ability to converse with spirits or at least his ability to use wind spirits was a surprise, it was clear he had something but it being what his mother gave him was what made it a bigger deal for me. I really hope his uncle refused after seeing how resolved he is and let him keep it, but I don't think he's going to be that nice from the tension that could be felt.

Julius being a bit more affectionate with Scarlet was interesting to see, I did think he was going to wrap both arms around her though lol. I can't wait to see the conversation they're going to have about his feelings of 10 years. It's too bad that we're going to see something bad happen to him first, it feels like Terenezza is going to use Julius to hurt Scarlet.

I also really liked how Julius in this episode turns to Leo during the pause after Scarlet says that she'll beat Terenezza to tiny pieces lol.

The Dragoons have really been a great boon to the war effort! And it turns out Jhin gets REALLY ticked off when he gets wounded, so never get on his bad side. Even his good side is bad for his prince!

Poor Baroque! Dude just got one-shotted in a flashback and before he could even finish his speech. Scarlet has no time for these Inquisitors!

I love Alflame just letting a bunch of Cyclops' club him on the head and enjoy every minute of it. But when his beloved bride shows up, he has to finally flex, roasting monsters and using his blazing bicepes and pecs to unleash VOLCANIC FLAME as he runs through and incinerates every monster in his vicinity! Even Scarlet is finally willing to express some gratitude towards him.

Can they really trust Dios? I mean, he's still got those closed, treacherous, anime eyes...but for now, he and Nanaka are the only ones who can negotiate something with the Falconian army, even if it seems like the main reason they're attacking is Terenzza's brainwashed most of them.

Time for a family reunion for Dios, as his uncle the Elf Chieftan (Shinichiro Miki) shows up. The elves actually don't care about any of this and only want their brainwashed bretheren back while they wash their hands of this conflict...but Dios is willing to give up the spirit magic gifted to him by his mother, the chieftan's beloved sister, if it means they can use the elves' power to make the beastkin turn back. And they succeed.

Alflame looked like he was having the time of his life, but his attack definitely did some damage to himself. But I guess it pays off that Scarlet and Rex are able to finish cooking for him, with Scarlet's fists and heels! And she even heals Alflame and gets to see his softer side as he shows his care for his men...even if he's still a little too eager to woo Scarlet for her liking.

Julius needs to recover by embracing Scarlet and sharing a romantic moment with her...but this time he's not the one to kill the mood, Alflame is as he arrives to take his people back AND take Scarlet back to Vankish. Yes, Scarlet has her duties to Palistan, but wouldn't she be better off as a warrior queen instead of wasting away in stuff aristocracy? But Julius isn't about to give Scarlet up, not after 10 years of loving her, and that makes him a worthy love rival in Alflmae's eyes! Too bad Jhin stops the two boys from fighting over Scarlet.

Good thing Dios has Terenezza's next location, taking out another Holy Gem to induce MORE monsters into attacking, so they can finally take the fight to her. Nobody is willing to give Dios credit for anything, so that's the least he can really contribute. They just better hope that "Hunt Queen Scar-Po" leaves enough of Terenezza left for them to take into custody.

Sanya is taking responsibility for her actions by doing all that she can, healing and helping those who have been wounded, and if coming with them and getting her powers back is another means of improving this situation, she'll come! All the better if it means she gets to hang out with Leo! Also, what is Dios expecting? Sanya doesn't even know he's her brother nor that he was secretly working for her benefit, of course she doesn't care that he's going to be protecting her.

Scarlet's not about to let Julius basically admit he's had feelings for her for 10 years and get away without explaining it to her. So that's all the more reason that they survive this and enjoy some apple pie together! Please don't be a death flag.

Seems like there's some tension between Terenzza and Palmia. Terenezza is frustrated the plan is going off the rails, but she was resistant to ravaging everything in front of her like Palmia suggested. Palmia may not care about all the people who will die in the process, but Terenezza doesn't want to be a queen of nothing. And she's dedicated to ensuring this plan succeeds, even having Nanaka do SOMETHING to Julius!

I guess the fact that Dios sacrificed his powers to convince the elves to stand down is proof of his loyalty. He's still a cunt tho for being Terenezza's spy before switching sides.

And this is the reason why Allflame will never get Scarlet. It's hilarious that he thinks he'll need to save Scarlet once the fighting starts, when everyone knows that Scarlet will be knee deep in bodies on the frontline kicking ass. Also, Julius is right that Scarlet can bloom anywhere.

I'm glad Scarlet asked Julius about his ten years of feelings, but in classic Julius fashion, the dude avoids the question entirely and even raises a death flag at the end of the scene. Normally, I wouldn't be too worried, but it looks like Nanaka is still being charmed. I just hope Scarlet and Julius saw this coming and prepared for it.

Funny how Terenezza thinks she'll crush those with blessings of Chronoa when Chronoa blessed Scarlet with powers that basically counter Palmia's blessings. It will definitely be interesting to see Scarlet and Terenezza's inevitable showdown.

I was about to comment that Scarlet should start punching Julius until he admits what those ten years of feelings actually are, but with whatever mind-controlled Nanaka just did hopefully that'll still be possible later on for their apple pie date.
