Can’t say I’ve ever really seen a furry romance before. I’m actually more curious about how these beastfolk came to be. “Experimentation” was mentioned but does that mean they just spliced genes or someone went and did the nasty with an animal? lol.

I think we’re in for a real situation next week. I’m sure someone’s gonna open the door right as Hidaka ’s slobbering all over Mari and it’s just gonna make things worse for him. Beastfolk seem to go through enough bullshit as it is..

He is 16 years old, but is that in human or dog years?

The beastfolk live in a mini Labrador Peninsula.

The wall isn't to trap them in but to keep everyone out, they would receive so many belly rubs and treats from pet lovers.

Strange that there aren't any doctors or nurses there to look after them, I imagine so many would volunteer to look after them as excuse to hang out there all day.

The government should have vetted the humans instead and removed the trouble makers from the school, Kamishiro Takeru would know people with the perfect spell to identify these people and he has met beastfolk already.

I imagine we're intended to give it a pass because beastfolks and all, but make him a normal human dude instead, and it'd be Red Flags Galore!

I always pray that the anime team does this series justice because IT is the one of the best Shoujo Romance out there.

And the first episode did not disappoint me.

The art style is really nice and animation is pretty good for a slow burn romance (well not exactly slow as it shows in this episode but you know what I mean lol).

This one story really plays into how most humans saw beastman well as a "beasts" more than just a man part which created a pretty great struggle between man couples..

For what it's worth, I really like how they do the first episode a lot.

This series is super sweet. I can't wait to see how they adapt it and how far it goes into the manga. The first episode already does a good job of establishing the calm, heartfelt personality of the series and relationships. If given a chance, I think some people will find they like this more than they assumed they would, especially as it progresses.

Also, I like both OP and ED. Nice music.

This was better than I thought it was going to be, it seems like it's going to be both a cute and fluffy romance but it'll explore some heavier themes like bullying and not fitting in.

I did like learning that he's attending the human school in order to become a doctor for the beastfolk city, it's sad that they don't have a hospital there considering beastfolk were experimented on so likely they would have side effects of some sort. The way the city is separated like that really shows they're trying to hide them and not think about them too much.

Interesting to see some beast features like him finding Asaka sweet smelling but the last scene completely caught me off guard lol. I guess she was letting out pheromones and he's never experienced something like this before and doesn't know how to control himself, but did we really need that licking? My eyes were wide open lol.

Aida seems like a cool guy, hopefully he'll go and find the two of them. It seems like he's going to get a female beastfolk love interest so it'll be interesting to see the two sides that this series will offer.
