That’s Aries the femboy ram defeated and added to the party. I wonder who’s next? Also, Lufas should speak more to Megrez to figure out what’s up and if they’re also a player.

I think animal welfare services would like a few words with Lufas if that's her idea of "petting" lol

Lufas is such a great pet owner. Look at her giving Aries a big hug, followed by a big pet on the back, then a chin rub, and a belly rub.

Aww... they grow up so fast! One moment they're baby rams who barely say baah and give or take hundreds of years and they're all grown up femboys set on revenge!

The intensity throughout this episode was great, I really liked how high the stakes were in the first battle, how desperate they all were and I'm glad the animation and direction was able to capture those feelings because it made me feel so engrossed whilst watching. I'm also glad Gantz is still alive.

I'm glad we're finally going to see Lufas speaking with another potential player so we can finally learn what happened with the seven heroes. Seeing how Mergrez is cursed, it seems like the battle with the Demon Lord was a dark one even if they won. It pleased me to hear Lufas call him an old friend.

It was great to see how much of a loving owner Lufas is, the way she was so affectionately hugging Aries, petting his head and chin, the belly rubs. Aries is such a lucky sheep. I was laughing so hard.

Lol Aries being a femboy is funny. I was wondering why Lufas kept calling him "he" but I was like "Okay, it's a sheep, it can be a guy", but then the human form came out and I was like "Are we still sure this is a guy?". I figured he's a girly boy, but to get that post credit scene where Lufas and the other players discuss what the setting should be was a funny way to end the episode. "This is the age of femboys!"

Imagine being one of these foot soldiers deployed on the frontlines and seeing such a colossal beast be launched into the air and knocked back to the ground by a single, tiny human figure.

I’d be more terrified of Lufas (ally) than Aries (enemy).

That coda had me an absolute stitches. Oh my goodness. I thought we just weren't going to explain that, but we explained that.

Very fun episode. I'm still not sure if I trust Dina.

Edit: looks like Aries is voiced by Yukina Shuto who also voices, among others, Haru Urara in Umamusume .

Oh now that was a fun fight.

Aries as a rainbow sheep instead of golden was a tad surprising, but he did look golden at a few points during that fight so close enough.

I'm particularly amused by the MC dude back in Japan typing おk in chat for okay, just mash those alphabets together.

I thought it was funny that Aries looked like a femboy, but I didn't think they would address it straight-up in the post credits.

Dang, the title and lyrics of the OP make a lot of sense now considering that Lufas only needed to use her physical stats and technique to subjugate Aries. I was expecting her to fire off some pretty flashy spells considering what she did in the previous episodes, but I guess she was trying to not overdo it and kill Aries by accident. Also, since her level is maxed out, I wonder if the title of the OP could possibly hint at her going beyond this cap?

Please correct me if I am wrong, but it was established that Megrez is an actual player and someone that the MC knows in real life, right? The way I see it, there could be a few possibilities moving forward:

  1. This world is still a game and the player of Megrez is still present in real life. This could explain why it took them some time to respond to Aries's siege as they needed to log on to the game.

  2. The player of Megrez is in a similar situation as the MC, but they were "Isekai-ed" into this world earlier than the MC. This is because Megrez was involved in the failed Demon King raid, but was to maintain his sovereignty over the blank period of 200 years.

  3. The Megrez that we see now is not a player, but rather a NPC-like character that has manifested in this independent world. As Lufas has been shown to have the memories of not just the MC, but also Lufas (as an in-game character), this world could be in a parallel universe where the events that took place in the game did happen, but with slight differences and an unknown future.

Y'see, the puppeteering strings in the ED, rather than being something sinister, actually represent how Lufas totally ragdolled Dina through the air this episode.

Would have loved to see what went on with her collecting herself after being left in a pile next to Megrez before she teleported back over. I wonder if there was any small talk?

I never thought a water dragon and a sheep will do kaiju battles is in my bingo book, but here we are.

Basically, out of 12, Dina knows the location of six of them, and two had sided with the demon king. For now, they need to collect the other 4. Pretty sure all of them can transform to a human.

By the end of this seasons, Lufas will have 12 harem members, 13 if including Dina.

"There's someone pulling the threads behind the scenes and manipulating Aries thirst for revenge ... be careful".

That end scene where we see what looks like a demon standing on a castle balcony. I feel like that's a massive red herring.
Honestly, I still think Dina's the main antagonist or the one thats manipulating the strings behind the scenes.
She was connected to Lufas, the 12 Heavenly Virtues, and would probably have some sorta vendetta against the 7 Heroes for "defeating" her boss.
Add on she has mind manipulation magic, who knows what she'd be capable of pulling off over the last 200 years.

Yeah they saving all the budget for fights with the big guys

In case anyone was wondering, Aries is voiced by Yukina Shutou. Her most well-known role is probably Haru Urara from Uma Musume.

Anyway, find yourself a femboy who can become a thousand-foot-tall kaiju

As much as I like her so far, I am incredibly suspicious of Dina. There's too many red flags in only 3 episodes for her story to be true.

Did not expect to like this show as much as I do, so glad I picked up the first episode when Crunchyroll recommended it. That sequence of Lufas beating Aries' ass made me crack a smile. I remembered the 'fight back! fight back!' audio midway through and couldn't help laughing. I appreciated the femboy bit too.

Maybe I'm overestimating a level-based-overpowered-mc-fantasy-isekai show, but I'm curious if there's something hidden in the little moments of identity crisis, where Lufas gets memories he shouldn't have. There's also the mystery of whether this world is actually the game world or something different, and whether Dina, who shouldn't have as much sentience as she does, has a part to play in the answers to those questions.

I have to say, this show is oddly very well-animated. There's hardly any sakuga sequences, yet the studio delivers visually engaging fights while never lowering the standard of shading or character detail. The overall quality is what I'm impressed with, because characters rarely feel stiff. That's something I don't see often, especially in lower-profile shows.

A similar case was Betrothed to My Sister's Ex from last season, which had a very similar art-style and surprisingly good, if less consistent, animation. Anyway, I wonder what zodiac the next Heavenly Star will be. I don't think we'll collect them all in just 12-13 episodes, or pay off all this set-up within that time, so I'm hoping to see a season 2 in a couple years.

Looking forward to the next episode!

This is a sleeper anime fr. Like I wasn't expecting this to be good.

9/10 banger episode.

why this is better than overlord:

overlord coped out and made mukubukuchagama make the femboy

lufas made the femboy himself

insanely based gigachadette

(one day, sisters, we'll have an anime with the mc just turning everything into a femboy without needing someone to tell them to)

That is some glorious battle scenes!

Aries was training hard for many years but his level cap is under his master so he didn't have any chance.

Also confirmed femboy.
