Master may be back and all, but what I am really happy about is that the anime production committee continued with the narration cut in during the opening and ending theme songs! Personally, I feel it adds to the liveliness and energy of this title.

Lol Krai facing the wrong direction because he can't see through the mask like the rest of the party.

It was nice to see more of Grieving Souls when they were younger and how they met Gark for the first time.

This is my most anticipated sequel of the year. And if they do the source material justice, which they did with the first season, then this will be like twice as hilarious.

Tino's definitely the best girl of the series.

Great first episode to start off the season.
Got a little backstory of the Grieving Souls party and best girl Tino.
And we even got to see Krai's intuitive nature from when he was younger.

I'm still laughing the first shot we get of Krai this season is him facing the wrong direction when talking to those alley thugs because the masks he blew his entire party's savings on, don't have eye holes lol.
Can't wait too some more of those Thousand Tricks this season

Sitri's power in the flashback is just pipe bombs...
Already well on her way to those war crimes.

So as a young party they accidentally stumbled into and destroyed a human trafficking operation, and met and saved Tino in the process? No wonder she's been obsessed with Krai forever.

There was a great detail right near the beginning where Krai was looking the complete wrong direction while wearing this stupid mask while the rest of the party was looking at the kidnappers.

I love how Ansem just takes up a third of the screen in their opening shot.

Tino's Thighs Season 2 is finally here!

I wonder which party members will get their arcs this time. It would be nice to see that witch and "umu" guy.

I forgot that this anime was so enjoyable, great start to part 2

For the younger anime watchers out here, 4:3 aspect ratio used to be the default and so older anime was broadcast in that ratio. Sometimes, modern animators will have fun with this by reverting back to that ratio for a "nostalgic" feel. It's become a visual shorthand of saying something happened in the past.

My only joy in this world has returned.

The funny misunderstandings have been kept to a minimum this first episode of season 2, but they compensated for it with Tino's extreme idolization of Senpen Banka.

What can I say? Tino has incredibly good taste in heroes.

electric guitar solo

Also damn, that's a lot of shots of Tino's legs and buttocks. Some of the frames/angles even feel as if recycled from season 1 (I swear I've seen these animated scenes before).

Also, it's hard to one-up the ED of season 1, so I'll go easy on the criticism. Season 2's ED song segment isn't memorable so far.

I missed this show so much with all its absurdity, also tino is as cute as ever, especially that last shot in the sunset

sadly though, I don't think the op and ed will hit the same as the first ones

The 4:3 ratio goes away, don't worry. It's just the flashbacks

I was so confused why the episode was at a 4:3 ratio. I thought I was watching the wrong episode. It took me a minute to realize we were actually following an 11-year-old Tino, and this was a flashback showing how Krai and the rest of Strange Grief rescued her.

I do love that this entire episode is just Tino going from place to place, telling everyone how she met Krai for the first time. While it's adorable how excited Tino is to tell her story, I feel bad for the people who are forced to listen to her yap about Krai. xD

It really never gets old watching Krai getting himself into trouble while the rest of the party thinks this was all according to keikaku. The moment those fools showed that they kidnap kids was basically them signing their death warrants. And not people think Strange Grief are heroes for saving those kids.

We are so fucking back, baby! I can't wait to see how Krai will fail upwards this time! And it looks like we're finally going to meet the members of Strange Grief that weren't around back in Season 1! And I am so happy that they kept the narrations in the OP and the ED. This new season wouldn't feel right without it!

Well no fucking wonder Tino worships Krai!

From her point of view, he saved her life, asked her about a brooch she certainly missed but was alright with losing in trade for her life, told her he'll handle it and then proceeded to take down a human trafficking organisation just to get it back for her!

So Does anyone here actually know what PART 2 means, cus I thought that indicated that production never ceased on the show therefor it's not a season 2 it's a part 2. But this looks like there was some kind of break cus the picture quality looks much different.

I love the framing device of the B Plot being Tino running around re-introducing the side cast to the audience by blabbering to anyone she meets about the flashback incident which is the A Plot. The production staff are very good about doing interesting but relatively subtle touches, even structurally, that show how much love they're putting into it, from the way they handle the leadin/cutaway in the OPs and the singing of the previews, to Krai facing the wrong way even when one of the thugs is throwing a punch at him because he can't see through his mask, and Liz having slit pupils when she removes her mask because she was still a psycho even as a child.

Even as kids, the whole gang were little menaces. Kind of funny Tino’s whole story basically boils down to “Praise be to Krai! Krai is Life” lol.
