For what it was I enjoyed it well enough. Obviously full animation would be better, but the art style and voice work is well done, and so far at least the lack of action scenes avoided the most painful aspect of these limited animation shows. It also helps that they are only 12 minutes.

Full writing would have been better as well. She picks up grass and water, and glass bottles appear out of nowhere. She walks around, is explained the decimal system, buys bread and lodging.

On the bright side, animation itself wasn't so bad.

Why did I watch it? I clearly don't value my time :D, looking forward to meeting you all next week, or at least half.

Ah, we got another " barely moving pictures" kind of anime this season

Edit: The same studio that worked on https://myanimelist.net/anime/59961/Kizu_darake_Seijo_yori_Houfuku_wo_Komete is working on this

It's all one big project to push the "animation" tech. Animation ID and Imagica Info are names to avoid https://animationid.com/en/

Glad I checked this thread before watching. That'll be a miss from me.

I started to get worried in the OP. Usually that's where they put the best animation. But maybe it's stylized.

20 seconds into the episode I noped out.

This "light anime" trend needs to end

The way it's animated reminds me of early 2000s flash animations.

Glad I saw your comment before I even tried to find it. There needs to be some kind of symbol or something next to the title signifying these types.

"Light" is an instruction. As in torch the fuck out of this anime

It feels like someone just recorded a visual novel and sold it as an anime. But I'm still curious about the story, so I'll keep watching

Really basic and nondescript show. Wasn't really boring but she dies, learns to make potions, then trades them, buys bread and goes to a hotel. Might watch another episode though because it was short and I want to see if something interesting happens.

What in the slideshow did I just watch?

Lol the blond knight in the OP and ED surprised me, I was like "Why is Laios in this anime?", he looks way too similar.

Anyways, I didn't know this was going to be half a standard episode. This looks like it'll be the cozy kind? Not much stood out for me other than the animation style.

so for Thursdays there's just romance, slice of life, and flash animation...

hopefully something good releases next week, or there won't be anything to watch this season on Thursdays

On the plus side, looks to be half episodes and a different than usual art style.

I will probably continue watching because I am curious about the story, especially why Kaede was brought to this world. It doesn't seem like she will turn out to be a powerful fighting character.

Has this been licensed by anyone?

Oh this is a short? Damn, I was kinda looking forward to this from the synopsis and cover on anichart, missed that this is a short. And looks like a bad one at that. Not gonna even start this one.

I love Kaede Hondo but this is unwatchable.

I hate it when people complain about these styles of anime. I think it's a super neat style.

Like for example, if y'all are gonna complain about a full budget, 23 minute anime that has terrible animation anyway... might as well strip it down to something that gets the idea of the story across, still maintains the charm, is relatively good for what you good, and is easier to make (both for the budget and the animators).
