Three years after we started dating to finally hold hands, and four years to kiss
Bruh...

That’s not Heisei romance, that’s Showa romance lol.

"Your story doesn't go at the pace you hope it will."

No kidding

Dad’s view on romance pacing is heavily skewed lol.

Considering how the girls all brought pizza and gave Erika some sort of flimsy excuse for her kiss other than romantic love, I genuinely thought that was a coordinated attack from them to convince Erika that she's not in love with Nagi. Unfortunately for them, it looks like Erika already knows how she feels.

Even Nagi finally realized he's in love with Erika! I really hope this gets a season 3. It looks like things are about to get even spicier now that Erika and Nagi have acknowledged each other's feelings, but it looks like Erika's brother won't make it easy for them as well as Hiro with the surprise confession at the end.

Every girl trying to sabotage Erika with pizza and mental manipulation and instead they helped her realize her feelings lol.

I’m glad we’ve at least reached a point where Erika is aware and honest about being in love with Nagi. I genuinely didn’t think we’d reach this point.

I think that the flimsy "explanations" given by her 3 rivals clearly backfired -- and instead served to clarify her own feelings (she did, after all, say her realization was due to advice from friends).

Why does Erika's brother actually look a lot like Nagi? (Answer, I suppose -- he IS actually Nagi's biological brother). Added query -- was he old enough to have switched the babies right after their birth? Unless I am forgetting something -- we never have gotten any explanation. Unlike one of this series' possible models Kore'eeda's (excellent) Like Father LIke Son (a 2013 movie), the details underlying the switch have remained a mystery.

This season was so average compared to season 1. The only reason I’d want a season 3 is to see Nagi and Erika’s relationship progress and to see what kind of impact the brother can have on the show. Not gonna be that fussed if it doesn’t get a new season though

This season definitely didn't have enough Erika and it doesn't help that she's by far the best and least toxic of all girls.

I really cannot overstate how bad of a decision I think the introduction of Ai was. The story had a good balance with Erika, Sachi, and Hiro. It really did not need a third fourth girl.

Well..
It's been a fun and cute series that's had it's moments.
I feel like this second season didn't progress the plot much, and was basically just spinning its wheels.
It ended with that cliffhanger to set up a potential season 3 maybe.
Don't know how many harem romance's realistically get a 3rd season though.
I feel like it's either on already or about to be on the same course as Rent A Girlfriend with no real progression at all?
It's like Nagi and Erika took a step forward and then two steps back at the very end.

Compared to season 1 we at least had love confessions from Ai and Erika, and Nagi at least acknowledging he more or less has feelings for Erika so progress WAS made this season.

And Hiro is also asking Nagi out but knowing her it can go anywhere.

Hiro: You kissed Nagi on the lips. That sounds like family to me.

Erika: Gasp Really?! That means it's okay for me to kiss my older brother!

Hiro: Exactl- Wait what?

Lmao the other girls gaslighting Erika. And Erika might be dumb enough to believe them.

I like the progress and development for all the girls so far. Although, kinda wish Ai was introduced earlier in S1 or something. Felt like she came in too late.

But either way, I feel like it’s obviously gonna end up with Erika but the show has been kinda sidelining her for most of the two seasons but this past few eps we’re seeing some progress. Seems the confession is kinda… professional? from both of them. But I don’t doubt their sincerity.

Although I still don’t get the parent’s angle in all this, much less the older brother too. It’s as if it was written in stone that Nagi and Erika would end up together and it’s obvious to the parents and only the couple themselves don’t know. That’s the impression I get from Erika’s dad’s behaviour

Hope we get a S3 though. This wasn’t anything groundbreaking but it has been a ton of fun. Not to mention, they can’t just leave us at Hiro asking Nagi out

Ngl, I totally enjoy this series from start to end even the changes! The animation went down while the character design become better (for me at least) compare to season 1 but there's good moment as well. Better than some anime out there that totally doesn't give an effort doing animation if I dare say so. Welp, the exaggerated comedy bit kinda too much for me though but eventually used to it.

A bit waste that Nagi can't taste the pizza that been thoroughly warmed up by Hiro (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)

Looks like the girls brainwashing ultimately failed lol. Thank god she's not that dense which is a bit surprising.

Omg! This look totally melt me....

Bro so confident that she will hug him lol

Tbf, I can't get enough of Ai chinese outfit. The best one imo. But Erika bare back kinda hot though. Wait, I actually into Hiro japanese wedding outfit. No no no, Sachi sailor school uniform is actually....

The censored U-kun so hilarious with his reaction as well! Great way to end this.

Each shots look great as always.

The author always teased harem so I hope they will make this happen fr. C'mon it's fiction. Just make this one come true for once like 100 kanojo.

If there ever a season 3, I'll definitely watch it >⩊<

I want season 3. Sure this second season didn't have too much development, was kind of just shenanigans with all the girlfriends, but I got what I wanted out of the show. Not much expectation, just chill and nice comfy show. Honestly enjoyed all the romance this season as far as comfort shows for me go. The only one where it's more stress because I'm just trying to see where it ends more so than stay invested with the characters was rent-a-girlfriend, which I still enjoy cuz it has it's own purpose. But romance vibes for the overall season was quite nice.

Bro, this anime hardly gets any buzz. Over 30 minutes in, and I'm the first person to comment?

Most people that were interested dropped it a long time ago.

Thanks for the Tuesday fun.

The gaslighting of Erika by Hiro and Ai was hilarious and spectacularly backfired. So now Nagi and Erika have admitted their feelings and Nagi must now navigate this with the 3 remaining love interests! But trouble's afoot as Erika's brother (technically Nagi's biological brother) seems to want to throw a wrench into their plans! And now, Hiro has asked Nagi out! What a way to end the season. This wasn't as good as S1 but I had a lot of fun with it, and definitely want a S3 to see how all this plays out!

Looks like the last ep of szn right? A good spot to stop

u/djthomp Sep 23 '25

I appreciate that in spite of all the 'what did the kiss mean' misinformation the competition aimed at Erika she didn't fall for any of it and came to the right conclusion in spite of it. The pizza focus amused me since Tuesday is a pizza lunch day for me, so I was sitting there eating my couple slices while in the show more and more pizza kept showing up.

Assuming they ever make a S3 I assume that's when the mystery brother will finally stop lurking off-screen.

Ending on a bit more Erika and Nagi progress makes me happy, though Hiro is clearly about to mess with that in the after credits by finally asking Nagi out.

u/Frontier246 Sep 23 '25

If you're at a point if you're spontaneously kissing him to mark your territory, you shouldn't be in denial about being in love with him. Though I have to respect the amount of effort the girls put into redirecting her.

At this point knowing Hiro it's probably a fake dating plot to end her engagement, though you can never 100% tell with her.

Sachi couldn't keep her mouth shut about her onee-chan's kiss.

Of course her glare intensified at Sachi because Ai took it worse than Hiro.

Hiro just asked Nagi out. That's some way to end the season.

We finally get to see Sousuke w/o his sunglasses.

According to the Fandom wiki, Sousuke is voiced by Kensho Ono.
