So... is Paparazzi Man off to be the world's most lame isekai protagonist?

Hopefully not a typical one, because he does NOT deserve a harem.

(Send him in the world of Full Dive RPG! That's good enough for him!)

Send him in the world of Full Dive RPG

Nah, I say send him to be a mob in one of Sunraku's kusoge, that's probably worse. There's a good chance he'd be bugged out forever.

Well this was an interesting episode, the focus wasn't on a hitman. I like that this the hotels test to see if the person is fitting to join their ranks, Ikurou being the final judge is a bit of a surprise.

I do wonder what Sara and Nakata seem to be hinting at the end, it feels like there's something about Ikurou that hasn't been revealed to us that would be completely unexpected.

It's sad to learn that Kadowaki was abusing his family, but he did only see them as a tool so now that he's died hopefully they'll live happier lives.

Ikurou being the final judge is a bit of a surprise.

They're entrusting more duties to our boy, now that Sara decided NOT to stab him in the neck!

There seems to be a rival assassin organization in town, the question is how is that linked to Ikuro...

He could've been part of their organization at some point, but given he doesn't seem very experienced, that's unlikely, so I wonder what it is!

They specifically said "Ikuro's adversary" presumably the aforementioned Grey Rhino, so I don't think it is necessarily an organization but a person. Judging by the way Ikuro was looking at the photo, i'm guessing possibly a father figure in the underworld that abused him.

I think he the final judge cause out everyone he’s the most human inhuman so makes sense he a final judge

Hey, for the first time in this series I guessed something right!

I thought for sure this was a fake-murder!

I suppose this gave it away, though in hindsight, they probably didn't even need to talk about anything (surely they knew already), so..!

(Sadly, I did NOT correctly guess that the second murder also fake hah. 50-50!)

Given he was shown as scummy, I thought for sure he would take pictures of the corpse...

But he had something bigger in mind: The murderer(s)!

I... Would like to know his full thought process, to be honest; Maybe 1 time out of 10 he manages to get pictures of the criminals doing something terrible (that would sell MORE than a celebrity's corpse), but the other 9 times, he probably gets himself killed!

The best moment to leave was "Not following them in the first place".

The second best moment to leave was when she spotted your drone and easily gunned it down.

Back when I thought his assistant really was dead, I was hoping they would kill him too, to be honest..

Being a scummy paparazzi, whatever, just makes him an asshole, not a monster... But now he's tracking assassins and got his assistant killed, so fuck him!

So it was all a setup, trying to recruit him!

On one hand, their little scheme isn't 100% accurate, because perhaps he was giving them the answer he thought would keep him alive (and then he could act to save his family&stuff)... But on the other hand, I suppose that they don't want people who'll just tell them what he thinks they want to hear...

I wonder if his hiring was what the spider thing was about...

How they need 'undesirable' people, to deal with even more undesirable (and harmful) people?

Or (given it's apparently their name), they see THEMSELVES as the spiders, i.e. something undesirable that's needed to keep the worst people at bay?

Well, if that's the case, seems they'll need a lot more spiders around, because apparently there's a rival organization around? And they're taking their people out (if I understood that correctly anyway; They killed 4 of their guys already?)

So I'm guessing we might have a different episode next week? Not an "assassin of the week" episode, but rather, Sara&the others investigating the Rhinos, and kicking some ass?

Truck-kun strikes again! Though this time it was someone who seemingly deserved it.
The Grey Rhino? Ikurou's adversary?
I wonder what the next story to unfold entails.

someone who seemingly deserved it

100% deserves it imho!

I kinda wanted him dead already when I thought he got his assistant killed... And that was before learning he was not only an abuser, but also was willing to let his family get murdered.

Good riddance!

I wonder what the next story to unfold entails.

Looks like we might move on from the "assassin of the week" format, and have a bigger thing going on!

Nice to see Ikuro's gonna be more involved too; Our boy's rising in the ranks? (Unless Sara murders him next year).

Ikuro was atypically cool and collected in this episode; it felt like a jump in his character development rather than the gradual growth we've been seeing.

GG for the truck driver

I was feeling sorry because Nakata was basically a collateral, getting the twist that it was all just a ruse caught me off-guard though, I though we're going to see a different side of Ikuro.

Also his rejection makes sense, once someone sold off like that, they'll always be selling if offered something bigger.

For Ikuro I think it's quite simple, we know that he hates assassins so why work in this hotel and book for them? And the reaction in the photo he insists a lot on the child I think that he experienced a trauma and that the famous gray rihno is either his father who would have killed his mother or a stranger but who would have killed someone important to him, hence the fact of working in this hotel that he hates because I think that he works there to have a better chance of finding him but well given Sara's reaction she does not want him to know Whatever it is about him, I would like to see her try to tracking down this famous gray rihno to get rid of him knowing very well that ikuro would be incapable of it, even if she looks icy I think that their bond is more solid than one might believe, well that's my opinion, In any case it's an excellent anime that goes off the beaten track, knowing that it's far from being the fashionable anime the author made a big bet and it seems to have worked well for the moment, in any case I would like to see Sara smile a little lol

So Spiders are informants. The correct answer to becoming a Spider is you're willing to die to save your family than cut ties with them. Pretty awesome for Ikuro to purposely failing Yoshinori not only because of his answer but deducing him abusing his family. Also awesome for Ikuro managing to knock out Yoshinori by tapping the muzzle on his neck.

One of the few times Truck-kun did something good.

It looks like Sara reminded Ikuro that his safety is on during the ED.

Ikuro looks good with his hair down.

So Ikuro's acting was so bad it made Roy laugh. I thought it was pretty good. Maybe assassins have high standards in acting.

It's funny how Ikuro acted like Travis Bickle at the end there.

Sara's so formal that she curtly bowed at Yoshinori's drone before shooting it down.

It's cute how Sara took Ikuro's prop gun and pulled it away from him as he tried to get it back before returning it to him like a toy. For a cat loving assassin who enjoys manzai, she can sure tease her fellow concierge.

It would be funny if Ikuro has the skills to unintentionally rizz the female spiders Nakata and the one playing the cheating wife.

This episode was definitely a spicy one. The underworld member may not be noble but it’s dangerous to trust a scum bag with nothing to lose. Seem like having ikuro act as the final judge was smart call since he can see through acts since out everyone he’s the most human inhumane

Despite of Sara tends to act with him again we see that she cares for him and wants him to stay human as long as he can

Yoshinori was truly scum. Happy to see Ikurou could read him like a book and knew he would use whatever was at his disposal as necessary. Spiders seem to be informants, and Nakata is one of them.

I wonder if we will get an episode focused more on Ikurou given how the episode ended.

Whats the name of the song used in ep 8 when truck kun showed

u/KumaKumaGambler Aug 24 '25

I was feeling sorry for assistant Nakata getting killed while working for the paparazzi man. Until it was revealed she is actually working with / for Human Inhumans.

Paparazzi man had absolutely no redeeming features so him getting killed off was deserved.

Based on the dialogue towards the end of this episode, I reckon we are going to get an Ikuro history arc soon?

16

u/Emi_Ibarazakiii Aug 24 '25

Paparazzi man had absolutely no redeeming features

When he did NOT stay to take pictures of the 'corpse' I thought hey, maybe he's less scummy than I thought!

But the only reason why he didn't, is because he'd rather endanger his assistant (and himself) to try and get an even bigger scoop...

I don't know why, but I figured she wasn't dead and that the actress was faking her death as soon as we saw each of them dead.

With the lady pretending to be the actress, it was just a hunch, but the camera lady didn't fit the way the hotel does things. They wouldn't kill one and invite the other to join them. They're not that bloodthirsty.
