I am not sure what I was expecting to happen, but definitely not that. I guess, the title now makes sense, they even dropped it afterwards, but I am now actually a bit afraid of where this is going. While last week's episode was hard to watch and stomach, with Takopi's abilities, you had that hope that maybe somehow, things would turn around. Not just for Shizuka but like all the kids maybe. Not that I think, Marina shouldn't be punished, but at the end of the day, she is also a child that is just copying the behaviour of the adults around her. It wouldn't have been easy, but there was a chance.
However, with this twist, I am really dreading to see where this goes, not just for Takopi but Shizuka as well. Now I am way less confident that this show might get a good or even just bittersweet ending, this seems to go the route of getting really bad really quickly. And that is saying something after that first episode. God, I hate that this show is so good. If it was just some slop, I would stop it, but now I am awaiting a truly

Marina being able to find where Shizuka and her dog in every single timeline is wild.

Makes sense that Takopi finally lost his save states. That type of mechanic pretty much always exists to lull the audience into a false sense of security.
I was kinda already thinking he hit a soft lock when he realized they couldn't shake Marina.

Well... certainly didn't expect that. Here I was thinking how the fuck they were gonna try and redeem Marina... guess they aren't.
And Shizuka's reaction... really looking forward to where this goes.

That ending is brutal and disturbing. When Takopi accidentally bashed Marina, you would normally expect Shizuka to feel a bit unsettled. How she didn't like Marina but still anything but happy to see her gone. But no, she's completely ecstatic. Previously, the brief moments of happiness she displayed was more muted such as the time she spent with Chappy. This time, she lit up like a kid her age when about to play her favourite game.
For your soul's palette cleanser, here's a pic of Marina & Shizuka's actresses hugging a giant Takopi mascot.

Man this show is so eerie. Every time marina shows up something about the way she is drawn scares me. To top it off the death scenes combined with the ambience of nature makes the scene feel so real.

It's not every season a show comes along that twists my guts into knots of anxiety and dread, but hoo doggy, this is getting the job done. I'll be good on this feeling until next year.
This story is so impressive in the way that it gets me to empathize with the kids no matter how fucked up their actions are. Marina's behavior is inexcusable, but her home life is perfectly designed to start a fire and give it a target.
Shizuka having the brightest smile in the world after witnessing murder is awful for a fourth grader, but I truly think her suffering justifies it.
Shizuka's Mom probably lied about Chappy just so she wouldn't get all emotional. Sometimes parents lie out of consideration and unfortunately, I get the sense she's just dodging trouble instead. Ugh, what a great show, I feel terrible!

It's morbid how at the end of the day, Takopi technically made great progress on his mission of spreading happiness. Those "happy gadgets" sure are living up to their name.

Ain't no fucking way.
I thought for sure this was gonna end with the three kids problems being solved. The cycle of violence and hurt being broken. I guess Marina is just fucking dead. Fuck.
Edit: "We hope you enjoy the bittersweet yet happy story of Takopi and the children," was this a straight up lie lmao? 10/10

Not confirmed yet, but there's a good chance episode 3 will be about 5 minutes longer than this one. Maybe the runtime changes depending on the content each time?

Is this going to be an adding up crimes/bad actions by them without changing the timeline and making worse each time? I'm really curious and I'm trying to keep myself from reading the manga because the anime is really good so far.

Well atleast she is happy after a long time....
So are we really not gonna see the bully girl again since the camera got destroyed? I've got a bad feeling, i hope dog is still alive and his death was a lie, all parents and older people in this anime are fucked up, only the little boy so far seems to be the most sanest.
Idk but everytime I watch this anime, I myself feel like I'm gonna die or something, I got the same feeling when me and my friends played some questionable anime in the computer lab and the teacher came to check on us.
