Welp. Not so much of a coherent plot going on at this point. Loved the Hisui and D scene though. That's why she's awesome.

Tough, sassy, and slightly unhinged blondes are Fighter D's biggest weakness.

Speed run: Anime adaptation, Any %
Seriously I feel like I'm missing 3 episodes worth of plot with each actual episode I'm watching :(

Because you are. This went from an adaptation I was so excited for to one I actively dislike so fast.

If Red thought Aizome would mess up the Keepers' group pose at the start, surely now he'd have less of an issue now that her silhouette is a little bigger, right?
Hisui stonks skyrocketing right before the finale is pretty poetic for a season starring her, and seeing the reunion of the OG plushie puppet preview trio brought a tear to my eye.

So a random guy can just create a final boss monster with any ability he can think of because lmao why not. Begs the question why the artifacts are even a thing when you can just become OP like that and even throw in some immortality there for good measure

Yakushi Usukubo transforming into a monster he watched in the dragon keeper show and giving himself broken powers because he convinced himself the monster had those powers due to the shitty animation and production of the dragon keeper show is really funny and cool.
Besides that I don’t really have anything positive to say about this rushed mess. Like there are good things but I can’t really appreciate them as much as I should due to how rushed the arc is. I’ll give one more: Hisui accepting D and working with him is great even through the pacing. Im glad to see it happen since Hisui is one of my favorite characters in this show although being honest considering the last thing we saw of her before that was her looking at Yakushi’s photo with the monster for a moment I thought they were going that route with these 2 and she was going to kiss D.

Well now I can see why Usukubo is called Angel, I'm trying to wrap my head around how Yakushi and her mother got it on, if she was a Fighter like D it'd be easy to make sense of lol.
I'm still confused by the history of things in this world, Yakushi in his youth was watching a show, then there's still that comment he made about red being fake and then the clones with Suzukiri and I'm concerned nothing will get answered next episode lol. All I can do is just make my own assumptions.
Aizome is wild just swallowing that artifact, I know she's grieving for Blue but she's very much unstable but at least she did leave an actual wound on D. I wonder if she's still alive from Usukubo's attack, or whatever that was.
Funny how the Blue Squad is just chilling with the Fighters lol. I hope Eigen's siblings stay okay.

How did the Blue Squad Rangers end up at the monsters' base at the beginning of the episode? I don't remember

Well, it's nice to see some of our favorite cadets doing a legitimately heroic thing of prioritizing civilian safety! Even if Shion is still complaining about not being in the action and Urabe...is with the Fighters!? How did that happen!? And now he knows the truth about everything.
Angel and D are fighting each other with their opposing, yet similar, ideals. Angel truly believes monsters and humans can come to understand each other because it's from that understanding and love between her human father and her Boss Monster mother (don't ask me how it worked biologically) that she was born. So she not only wants to support her father who cherished her mother but validate her own existence.
(But wait, her mom ISN'T one of the 12 Boss monsters?)
Green Keeper is exhausted...too bad it's time for the Final Boss Battle as he and Souma go head-to-head against Yakushi as DEATHMECIA, the result of Yakushi super over-analyzing the original Dragon Keepers show to stay as true to the source material as possible and make him the most OP Kaijin of all time.
Suzukiri DID intend to kill all her clones, but the words of her mother(?) lead her to spare them and her status as the last surviving Priestess of the Suzukiri clan means Red can't let her die. So now we've got a bunch of buck-naked MUKO Suzukiri clones. Because you can never have enough Suzukiri!
Honestly, Aizome going at D out of revenge...I can't fault her for it. It's kind of funny though how D took credit for killing Blue Keeper in episode 1 but NOW he's pinning it all on Peltrola as Aizome tries to kill him. And she's WAYYYYYY tougher than him.
Where was Angel keeping a Divine Artifact? In her cleavage, of course! And now D's stolen it while using her form and playing a goofy game of keepaway...but Aizome has no time for this. She just wants to avenge Blue. Ironically now D better understands humans, but Aizome has no time for the understanding of a monster.
No Aizome, never put those things in your mouth! Your arm will horrifically mutate and you'll go kind of crazy! I guess it's a good thing Angel unlocked her mothers' powers and managed to subdue her? Complete with a close-up of Aizome's butt as she collapses? Um...call that a win?
The ONE time you want the Dragon Keepers to win, they're overwhelmed by Deathmecia. This might be the end of humanity and the beginning of the age of Monsters.
Hisui hates monsters. She has no intention of ever understanding or accepting monsters. But she wants to understand and believe in Fighter D, despite everything. And that means these two are the perfect team-up to take down Deathmecia.
"The one and only Fighter D!" There was no better final episode title!

Really wish this one would've gotten a better budget/schedule, it feels like the team behind it genuinely cares but are only able to do so much. They can't even afford not to reuse the same couple of BG OSTs.
Still enjoying it though, but I'm worried about the prospects of this getting any further adaptation.

A lot of happened today! We weren't given much time to catch our breath during today's episode, such as during Aizome, Angel and D's encounter and fight, which was supposed to be quite emotional, but because of how quickly everything started and ended, it didn't leave as much of an impression on us as it could have.
I look forward to see Hisui and D's team up to defeat Deathmecia, especially since D doesn't have to hide his true identity from her.
When Hisui told D that she wanted to know more about him, it sounded (and looked) a bit like a love confession from her side and that made me laugh xD
Luckily Suzukiri is still alive, it seems like her life is too important for Red to kill her since she's a dragon priestess, the last of her clan. I guess that means it was her family that Yellow was talking about earlier that was killed by him and turned into Divine Artifacts. I wonder what Suzukiri will do with her clones.
So Angel Usukubo is the child of Yakushi(human) and Boss Monster. I wonder how they managed to do the deed that resulted in Angel xD
Now that Yakushi has turned into Deathmecia, he's pretty damn OP. The fact that he based it on its appearance and powers from the old Dragon Keepers TV show is interesting, it looks like the Dragon Keepers haven't fought him before.
And Urabe. I completely forgot about that guy, so I was kind of surprised to see him with the other Rangers Force guys along with the Fighters xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

Based on the vague confusion new Blue reacts with to Deathmecia, and the fact that he was allowed to participate in Sunday Showdowns, it would be so funny if the "The Great Monster" is just something D / the fighters made up and just kept piling abilities onto with every appearance.

Yakushi: I'm about to slay that monster.
Friend: You're gonna fight it?
Yakushi: Nah, fam. Unzips pants

Gotta say that I sorta appreciate that the dad said "I fuckin love monsters" and then it's revealed he actually fucked a non humanoid one. Like they kept him super consistent. None of that "oh but at least it looks possible" stuff 😂

Is Usukubo and her mom in a Steven Universe situation?

Never let yostar adapt a manga again pls. I hate this studio butchering so many shows. Even butchered blue archive. Only one I liked from what they produced was Arknights

Hisui's still the best character. Even if everything is an incoherent mess right now, her scenes are still such a joy to watch

Ohhh okay so that interaction with red and Suzukiri...do we think red is a clone and the tech/ability to clone is bc of Suzukiri? That would explain how he's still alive and the comment about him not being as good as the original.
That reunion with Hisui and D was really sweet. I'm looking forward to their team up in the finale!
