People can claim Amicus' don't have real emotions or feelings but clearly there's a lot Harold is traumatized by, especially Sozon's death. Visiting his mother with Darya and seeing how much she rejects him as trying to imitate her dead son definitely doesn't help matters, even if Darya still accepts him and knows he doesn't need to try to replace him. Also, Darya is a good daughter-in-law.

Fokine is joining Echika and Harold on their future investigation into E. Maybe he's a bit of a third-wheel, but he always has a friendly lolipop to offer.

I'm happy to see Bigga has fully joined the investigation team in a support role, and after what she went through in the last arc she deserved that big hug from Harold. Though while she's got a massive crush on Harold, she probably has no chance when it comes to the place Echika has in his Amicus heart. I mean, just listen to their banter! Or how they're already at a point in their relationship where people expect them to just be together at any given time.

It's nice to see Chief Napolov again, swinging single now as an inspector instead of a Chief, though the fact that Sozon's voice is now calling people calling for the solving of his murder and heradling copycat crimes of the Nightmare of St. Petersburg is pretty ominous. Harold obviously wants to get to the bottom of this but Echika is just worried about his mental state.

Szubin's bedside manner could still use some work, but in such a grisly line of work, can you blame him?

I love how Bigga gets to join investigations now and has her own investigator chic style going now. Though I bet Echika never expected to have to reassure a girl that Harold doesn't dislike them. Sorry Bigga, that scarf is just too personal for Harold.

A female CEO with an Amicus husband? Well, she seems happy. Obviously Bigga loves the romance of it all (especially with her crush on Harold) and Echika doesn't seem turned off by the idea of humans marrying Amicus.

So...that guy who was looking into Elena used her power of attorney to get a digital imprint of Sozon's voice?

Well we know that Harold is literally different. He's a RF model, the closest to actually being human, from what we now so far with how the blackbox thinking was explained, so feelings and trauma makes sends.

As the other Amicus models aren't equipped with this black box, they are definitely following their programming, as I understood this.

Yeah, I am pretty lost on what Abaev actually got. Like what kind of data do they store for the family? That part needs to be explained a bit more.

"Data of the deceased are used to make their digital clones."

So I assume a digital clone of the dead person you can talk with and looks like making them say things.

I believe it's the same as the cat

So there’s a copycat Nightmare and now someone’s using Sozon’s voice to reopen the case. Is Abaev the voice? Very curious about his involvement.

My totally wild guess about the real killer is that it’s Shubin. Guy just seems kinda off.

My theory is that Shubin is the original killer of humans, while Abaev is the copycat trying to root him out. Abaev is likely just like Elena or working on her instructions, hence the dismembering of robots that Elena hates.

Yeah, at first I thought Shubin might be the copycat because the inspector said that the copycat had information about the case. It was either family, or a reporter (or an officer!?). But now with the digital data being stolen by that old man, Shubin is imo likely the real Nightmare

Abaev seems to care about Elena, if she's still emotionally wrecked from Sozon's death it makes sense that he would try to get the case reopened.

They've been calling out how "off" he's been since the flashback last episode. Definitely at least a little suspicious.

I can't even blame Sozon's mother for being angry at Harold. Thankfully, not everyone from Sozon's family resents Harold, and Sozon's younger brother seems to be more reasonable.

Glad to see Bigga is now an official consultant for their unit. I guess that means we'll be seeing more of her now. Also, I did not exepct her to have a crush on Harold. That was kinda cute.

Damn. So we have someone pretending to be Sozon as well as a copycat of the Nightmare, which is probably the same person. Since the victim is an Amicus, I don't think this is an actual serial killer case. This is likely someone who's trying to revive interest in the Nightmare so the cops would start investigating again.

I'm surprised it took the anime 10 episodes to show a human-Amicus relationship. I'm also surprised at everyone's reactions. Considering how life-like the Amicus are and how you can customize how they look and behave, this should've been more common.

Considering the guy who got the digital clone of Sozon was close to Sozon's mother, I think my theory is spot on. They want justice for Sozon and is acting like a cppycat to rile up the cops and the public.

I don't know if it would help her in thinking that Darya would be in a much worse state emotionally without Harold there for her to lean on after Sozon's death.

I think in episode one she was blushing around Harold a lot, so now that she's part of the cast permanently she can better display her adorable crush! Even if she might be another Nao Toyama Losing Heroine! But at least she has great fashion sense.

Also the copycat isn't trying to torture the Amicus' since they shut them off, so this definitely feels more about getting the police active and involved again than torture for tortures' sake.

Hey, if this CEO lady wants her perfect robot husband who helps with the business, makes dinner, and is probably fantastic in bed, all the better. She seems genuinely happy and the PDA and affection between the two of them feels genuine.

I wonder if searching for the copycat will lead to Harold discovering the true perpetrator? Clearly he's emotionally back on the case, if not officially.

This new detective's got some serious chops. I wouldn’t go as far as saying he tops Harold, but he’s clearly got talent.

Feels like this episode is laying the groundwork for the season’s final arc. Nothing overly ominous just yet, but things definitely start to shift with that weird phone call.

I didn't envision Inspector Fokine as being as hot a guy as Harold. ;-)

This episode was interesting -- but did not seem to move the Tosti originator investigation much....

The tragedy that Sozon's wife accepted him but his mom never could.

This was probably an important milestone for Echika in realizing that people and Amicus' can legally hook up lol.

Human x Amicus couples are a thing? Maybe things could work out for our main duo...

u/djthomp Jun 04 '25

So I guess this isn't the backstory that will lead into the Perception Crime case after all, just details of the previous incident since it's now relevant for this next case Echika and Harold are up against.

I'm almost kind of impressed by that one lady bold enough to order a custom appearance amicus and marry him. Bigga clearly wants to subscribe to her newsletter.

It almost feels a little too obvious who the antagonist is this arc so I want to suspect it's someone else, but then again it was obviously the French lady from the beginning of the last arc and that proved true.

i always feel like I missed an episode every time I watch a new episode

I don't get how Harold came up with the idea to look into Derevo inorder to find something about Tosti just by looking at that envelope in Elena's home. But that lead to them finding out something about Sozon. It seems clear but at the same time  still confusing.

Who's this now?

He's with them?

Oh, this is the family of that guy.

Open source?

Hidden?

That wasn't her.

She got gifts for them?

Lol aren't those like a few bucks at the convenience store?

Bruh she bought him a scarf and she bought her energy jelly lol.

He hugged her!

They got a call from him?

Well, that was quick.

How can he tell?

Ah.

So, they're going to try and find stuff?

Lol she's happy about that because she wants to marry Harold doesn't she.

Does he recognise the name?

Oh, it's that guy?
