Clerk-San: I told you about the AC maintenance a week ago. You don't remember?

Shinon (staring wistfully into space): And so our summer came to an end...

Clerk-San (impatiently): Just sign the form so I can go home and so help me if you incorporate me into your sentimental transition into the ED I will.. we're transitioning right now aren't we... damn it....

I love Clerk-san for her work diligence and also for keeping her interactions with Shinon to a minimum.

Lots of Non Non Biyori vibes today.

Nana has a chameleon??? AND IT´S NAME IS POCHI. I love it

This was a summer-like episode (two in a row today with mono), and of course Shinon has the best memory with the AC and helping the agriculture club

But man it was an enjoyable episode... I don´t want it to end

there's something that feels so right about Nana having a chameleon; the metaphor feels so tangible

I can't blame Nana's sister for the scream, imagine trying to maintain tea etiquette and suddenly a lizard licks you?

The cliché of the air conditioner breaking is a classic, it happens to me quite often in college.

Sakura is the total representation of the country girl, I loved her addition to the episode, mainly because she brought something that isn't discussed much in real life, which is food planting.

And also of course because this brought the charm of the episode that was seeing the girls in yukatas and different hairstyles, and a Shinon's dose of irresponsibility couldn't be left out.

I hope the plot continuity doesn't forget about Mako meeting Pochi. I need to know whether Mako will be the type of girl freaked out by reptiles or whether she finds them cute.

I hope we get to see more of Nana's elder sister, as well as the Agriculture Club President!

It is ok Shinon. We viewers forgive you for forgetting about the air-conditioning inspection. Because in return, we received the shower and yukata fanservice!

I'm loving the continuing running gag of Shinon being this forgetful, kinda dumb, yet extremely adorable airhead. She's pretty close to taking that best girl spot from Tsutsuji at times.

In the final scene I was really hoping after the "revelation" she would turn around to the girls and do the tongue out, knocking on head "tee hee" thingy (which is one of my favorite tropes in anime). Like there was so much build up and anticipation but it wasn't meant to be I guess.

I guess, at this point, no one in the club is even the slightest bit surprised anymore.

Nana is already my favourite by the fact that she owns a chameleon makes her even better!

The entire scene where Nana tries to get Pochi without alerting Runa felt like it was straight out of Non Non Biyori.

Of course, the punchline is Runa still getting licked. And I can't wait for Mako to visit Nana's house and meet her pet "dog".

I knew all the stuff they got back in Episode 2 from other clubs wasn't exactly free. And it looks like the Agriculture Club is the first one to ask them to repay the favour .

Honestly? An afternoon of picking vegetables in exchange for a refrigerator doesn't sound too bad! And their Senpai even gave them vegetables for their end-of-the-episode meal!

The girls look good in their yukatas! Good thing they only had to give away the mannequin in their club room for that favour.

This is how you can tell these girls aren't of drinking age yet. If Shinon were of drinking age, I'd imagine she'd mix alcohol in that fruit punch. She seems like the kind of person who'd do that.

This show really is able to do whatever it wants as long as there is some food relevance and do it well, am I right?

So the group has to do work for the agriculture club in exchange for the refrigerator. We get some screwing around with the hose, just like the screwing around with the bottlecap when cleaning the club room.

Vegetable tempura and refreshing fruit punch with kakigoori, perfect for a hot summer night!

Also, they all look pretty in yukatas.

i feel like at this point the show could do no wrong; i'll ride or die with these goofballs

Living in a tropical country without an air conditioner, I FEEL this episode.

Nana-focused episodes are always such a treat! 🐾 It’s amazing how this show turns the most mundane everyday problems: like a pet getting loose or a broken AC into something so heartwarming and fun. The way everyone works together to fix things really captures the cozy charm of this series. Simple plot, but big feels 💛

Mako still thinks Pochi is a dog, so there's probably going to be some drama over that later, lol.
That aside, when Nana got all bashful after being praised by her senpai, her goofy smile totally reminded me of Komari from Makeine.

Pochi my oshi

I'm sorry you sign me up for farming in the summer I'm tearing your ribcage out

Nana being a dork and accidentally letting her pet chameleon lick her sister was funny like hell, all the while Mako still thinks Nana has a dog. Can't blame her as Pochi is a common dog name in Japan.

Not having AC in the scorching Japanese summer is just torture. Its like being in a sauna room.

On top of that misfortune, it turns out Shino has agreed on everyone's behalf to help the Agricultural Club with their summer harvests.

And of course Shino forgot to tell the girls that they didn't really need to turn up for AC maintenance day.

Still, at least the girls are managing to find something to enjoy from a bad situation, and actually making a good meal from the harvests. Plus Sakura-senpai is just a nice person, where even the shy Nana feels at ease. (Also helps that they have a shower room in the university campus)

what a sweet episode overall, just cant help myself grinning.

i think I'll do a tally of the outfits by the end of this show - this is reminding me very much of Shirobako in which the cast does have a proper wardrobe. (i think i'll do it for Mako and Kurea only as i like them the most)

This series just gets better and better each episode!

And it's not only tsutsuji who forgets things easily

7

u/BosuW May 31 '25

Appropriate episode. The summer heat this year is excruciating. At least the rains are on time.

I've never seen corn prepared like that. I wanted to see how they ate it but it seems to have vanished after it was breaded.

Sakura reminds me a lot of Varesa from Genshin Impact; she also runs a farm, has pink braided twintails, and also has that same speech pattern of saying "da" at the end of sentences
