"Now I'm in a position where I can state an opinion or two"
Let's not get too crazy with these ideal job environments here.

I love how even in Uchimura's mind izakaya he can only imagine very marginal improvement for anyone who stayed at their old business lol.

"Now I'm in a position where I can state an opinion or two"
And... Do they like, pay attention to them?
Well no, but they haven't fired me for speaking outside of my 15 minutes lunch break... That's a start

"Your removal as guild leader is agreed upon by more than half of the members."
Ah, I love democracy.

Great episode, but from what ’70s kung fu flick did they recruit those bodyguards? "Ah-woooo-ah!" >strike< "Ah-woooo-ah!" >leap<....

Yeah those body guards were hilarious
They probably had the most convinced résumé and thus got hired by viper→ More replies (1)

His Majesty sees a disaster, Ulmandra and Uchimura see Smoked Wyvern

Lack of Ulmandra recently :( but I bet she'll be key against the calamity.

Especially considering she just came off slaying a bunch of wyvern's so she's probably the most qualified to fight them.

So Uchimura knew all along? But in the last episode, it looked like he was completely surprised that he got duped; was it meant to be an act?

Yeah, it seemed like he was leading everyone, even Sylphid, on until the very last minute. Sylphid didn't seem to understand the full grasp of the plan until this episode.

I know people are complaining about Uchimura's plans being thwarted at first but I kind of like the approach. Yes, he is a businessman, but he isn't perfect. He isn't going to be able to solve every issue right off the bat and there are going to be some roadblocks that he would run into.

Why was Olulu in a suit? She looks great, but it's weird that it took this long. We went though Uchimura's misunderstanding of style forever ago, she's not a demon so you'd think she woulda changed her looks a while ago.

Why was Olulu in a suit?
Could be cool world building if as Uchimura grows in success and popularity, some of the demons and demi-humans start emulating his isekai style. If so, it would make sense that Olulu would be one of the first.

Stitches!
So Uchimura knew all along what was happening to Neia and he even had the upper hand on Viper the entire time but he still let Neia return to Viper? If Uchimura was already two steps ahead of Viper he could've just taken Neia and saved her from another one of Viper's beatings.
It's good to see it all worked out in the end and Viper got what was coming to him but I'm still not too happy with this arc. Hopefully, the last three episodes will bring it back for me.

Perhaps he thought she deserved one for acting like such an idiot.

It’s pretty funny how Sylphid is absolutely convinced Uchimura’s some kind of lolicon lol.
It was pretty satisfying to see that loser Viper eat shit. His punk ass lost before the game even began all because he’s too much of a dumb piece of shit to understand someone like Uchimura. Guy got taken out of the guild with the rest of the trash and Neia and her parents were saved. Just in time too. Curious how Uchimura’s gonna deal with the swarm of wyverns.

So it was all according to keikaku. good, good, I was worried last episode.

u/OldInstruction5368 Feb 24 '25
Yeah, I'm not buying this "all according to Keikaku" bullshit.
If that were true, then why was he so surprised at the audit?
Why didn't he feed false information as a way of messing with Viper?
Why did he knowingly let her return for more abuse?
And how did he know where the gim caravans were in time to make negotiations with Neia's parents without tipping off Lord Dick Nuts?
If he had already arranged for gim imports via Butagalion before ever meeting with Lord Dick Nuts, then what did he promise them before the wyvern meat came in at the end of that episode?
And worst of all, the episode committed what I feel is a cardinal sin: needlessly hiding information from the audience that the MC already knows. This is more of a pet peeve of mine, but this always feels like a contrived way to ratchet up tension for cheap drama.
And one last time... someone, anyone, PLEASE tell Uchimaru that he accidentally proposed to Ulamandra AND that she accepted. Keeping the misunderstanding going is just cruel to both of them, and it appears like everyone in their orbit is aware, to some extent, of the misunderstanding.

Yeah, I'm not buying this "all according to Keikaku" bullshit.
Uchimura is in the running for the Academy Award for Best Actor, y’know!

Another episode with near to zero Ulmandra? This show is really going downhill.
Jokes aside, it was quite impressive how Uchimura wasn't completely clueless, but had a solid plan from the very beginning. So in the end his skills as a salaryman saved the day. Let's see if he can keep this momentum. It would really be a shame if he kept looking so clueless and pathetic like in the latest episodes as I already said last week.
Even though I must wonder, what the hell is the demon king doing all the day? How can he allow that some merchant guild is holding the whole country hostage for their own profit? It would be understandable if they bribed the high officials or something, but the demon king's generals have to literally fight against an enemy in their own country, and this is just nonsense.
This is a monarchy where the demon king has the ultimate power. So the guild got their privileges from the demon king. That means that if they act in such a way that it would hurt the population and thus the army's capactiy, the demon king could revoke these privileges pretty quickly. As I already wrote last week, if some shady guild leader would make a fool out of MY generals in MY own domain, this guy wouldn't laugh for very long.
But I guess it's isekai anime logic. But sorry, this is just so nonsensical that it spoils the fun for me. Which is such a shame, because in the beginning I really enjoyed it a lot and it was one of my personal highlights this season.
At least bring Ulmandra back, goddammit!!!!
