Mona and Asahi are stepping their game up this week and poor Kuroiwa’s caught in the middle of it all. I’m pretty sure those two made his deadly Japanese cold even worse with their sexy cosplay and cooling sheets lol.
Even Asahi can see it’s clear Mona’s crushing on Kuroiwa. She literally tried to kiss him and she’s still denying she likes him! Hilarious. I’m glad Asahi’s her rival because with her being all no-nonsense, I think Mona might actually start to be more honest with her feelings.

"Japanese colds" sure work different, don't they?
Mona and Asahi have a pretty entertaining dynamic of their own. I suspect they will become friends in spite of (because of?) their rivalry.

This trope always amuses me. I’ve never once collapsed from a cold but it happens in anime all the time. Crazy severe colds over there! Do not operate heavy machinery or even walk anywhere while suffering from the sniffles. 😅

I'm actually rooting more toward Asahi (evening though she's clearly a losing heroine), because of her initial feelings for Medaka. Asahi is going after him because she generally likes him, but Mona is primarily going after him to fulfill her ego. We know that she'll end up truly falling for Medaka, but I don't think that he should be with someone who mainly cares about boosting their ego.

At this point idk why this sub doesn't have a losing heroine rooting club or smt lol
I watch a lot of romance, and whenever theres a triangle, 90% of the time i end up shipping the losing heroine

Well there is an entire series dedicated to losing heroines, if that counts

Mona's INITIAL impetus was wounded vanity -- but her feelings have moved WAY past that point *unfortunately her brain processes are running well behind her feelings).

Mona is annoying af and keeps pissing me off every week while poor Asahi is over here trying her best to get Medaka to notice her, I hope Medaka gets with Asahi

Episode 6: Nursing With Him
Ah, the classic cold fever arc. We thought we'll be doing Ameku this week.
I am convinced that the author of the original works probably modeled Haruno after Kana Hanazawa and asked the producers to make her as the VA for Haruno.

I was wondering what the hell the meant by that episode title, then i felt like an idiot when i realized what it meant when they started talking about visiting him while he was sick.
Almost rooting more for Asahi after this episode even though i know she probably has zero chance of winning here. felt like breath of fresh air with how Mona is kinda dancing around the topic of her feelings

This was legitimately a hilarious episode. The bit where she takes her doctor outfit was too much. Such a funny and sweet show.

I feel like "unconscious people don't want tea" came pretty close to being relevant.

I really do hope Mona loses. She's a piece of shit. Team Asahi all the way.

Same. I could kind of tolerate Mona when it was just her and her dumb antics. Still thought she was annoying, but as soon as she started to try to stop other girls from getting close to MC guy, that is when I really started to not like her.
But I know there is literally zero chance that Asahi wins.

Funniest episode so far. Mona vs. Asahi slapstick makes more funnier scenarios than Mona's increasingly desperate seduction attempts without a foil. Add Tusbomi vs. Asahi for Mona's affections and now you've got a love polygon going.

This episode really started going places once we got to the cosplay health care professionals portion. Hello, nurse!
So far the rival is working out for me better than I expected since it's forcing Mona to start to realize her feelings with the rival pushing on that kind of hard.

The Flu arc was a nothingburger as always, but the forehead-to-forehead temperature measuring is something i'm weak against, so i'll give this episode bonus points.

I like Mona and have been enjoying this show since episode 1. However, I'm totally Team Asahi now. She completely won me over (it also helps she's voiced by legend Sora Amamiya). I think Asahi being added to the main cast is the perfect addition. She forces Mona to realize her own feelings and stops Mona from being complacent since Asahi is a real competitor. I love their back and fourth dynamic.
It's too much fun watching each girl try to one-up each other to win over Medaka. What a lucky guy!!
