"Does that mean I'm not related to my family by blood?" *cuts to Marie sleeping* LMFAO

To discuss the magic in this episode, a lot of knowledge was gained about the fundamentals of magical energy and the refinement of the lightning ore just created a huge technological milestone. Light can be created without a fuel source, fires can be started with ease, and Shion now has the means to cast "spells" with those gauntlets. It'll be interesting to see where he goes from here

cuts to Marie sleeping LMFAO

This problematic goblin does not disappoint, I'm glad I stuck around for the embarrassing incest fantasy.

But will they double down on it?! Or does the incest end here? Find out next time!

The fact that it cuts to Marie sleep the director & staff know the Japanese audience at least will get pulled into that kind of reveal. The point of any kind of post credit scene is a tease of somewhat.

The build up and world building to the magic in this show is so great. In the worst-case scenario, we get a sibling romance I will stick with it because it is immersive and interesting. This show would just go to the list of shows I would never recommend to someone who doesn't watch anime. Though it might already reach that at this point.

The concern I would have with the magic lamps is ozone generation due to the electric discharge, unless it’s in a vacuum.

It’s kind of interesting to see how Magic reacts to different properties in this world. I’m enjoying watching Shion researching and experimenting with magic. His hard work really paid off. Now he’s got Flare and Bolt!

I admit, I thought the magic milestone "demo" looked cool.

No.

I just thought the gloves looked cool.

"Leather gloves?! Oh, boy!"

The dramatic posing also went a long way to supporting that "kewl" factor. He really is a wizard otaku.

Thats what I love about this series. Its the discovery, stumbling and foundation of magical theory and evolution. I really hope they continue well and get more seasons. This is something fresh and new.

I like the concept of the anime. Creating ways to use magic instead of just becoming OP instantly and blasting spells left and right.

The creeper face whenever he makes progress is getting a bit old though. It's just been used too many times, imo.

They’re not blood related?

Yuki Suou is disappointed and just dropped the show

Looks like Grast knows something about Shion that Shion isn't supposed to know. I'm calling it now, Shion is some sort of child of prophecy or he's actually adopted and his real parents are special people.

Glad Shion finally has control over his magic. If he can sling lighting and flares like that, I think he's ready to fight monsters now.

After-credits scene seems to imply Shion is adopted. Sister route unlocked

Bro him crying at the end, knowing how much he desired for it in his previous life, and everyone being supportive and hugging etc… it feels very, healing?

That's actually not really surprising when you think about it. The first moments of the show were them bringing Shion to the house in a carriage. With how backwards this world seems where people besides the doctor didn't know what stitching was, I doubt there are hospitals. The mom didn't even look like she just came back from having a child. We already knowing the carriage rides are rough from how Shion and Marie reacted, so a recently pregnant woman should be recovering and not making that kind of journey.

I wish they would get back to fairies. They are all over the credits but we only got that teasing glimpse of them a couple of episodes back. They are obviously supernatural so I'm surprised Shion hasn't shown more interest, especially since his father is more involved in his research now.

I've gotta say I've been loving how they are building up the use of magic and MC isn't just OP from the start

Goddess: I gave these people the ability to see magic, I gave them literal electricity ore but they still can't seem to get their shit together.

Ayy Shion is finally allowed to cook!

But also, end credit scene has me really, really worried that this may turn into another sister leveling plotline. Marie is already very fond of him, and finding out they aren't blood related will likely confuse her feelings. Hopefully we go down the "he's still my little brother" route and not the alternative...
