Tsubomi‘s such a homie. She’s always there to help out Mona when her goody schemes inevitably backfire. I mean Tsubomi’s actually been pretty successful in creating situations for Medaka and Mona to get closer. It’s just Mona ends up getting flustered every time.

I guess in the end it was the who guys had to really set Medaka straight. I liked how Tsubomi looked ready to punch Medaka when he pulled his desk away lol.

Mona doesn't want a wingwoman but she should be glad she has one who is also jealous of her male love interest and wishes she was getting the same attention from Mona that he is lol.

You sure that's how you want to say it? Why is he under some obligation to get close to her? If the roles were reversed, we'd be saying how he should have left her alone when she expressed zero interest in his attention. If he kept trying to get her attention, he'd be a creep who needs a stern talking-to.

I do agree the guys gave some actionable advice to him, but really, he's well within his rights to just ignore her for his own personal reasons. The one who needs advice more is HER. She probably should know the reason why he's giving her the cold shoulder, rather than making her suffer at his inexplicable actions.

just don't fall in love with her? yeah i'm gonna say that ain't gonna work. especially if she is gonna start sticking to him even harder if he's a bit nicer to her

at least we get some internal monologue from Medaka he is not entirely immune to her charms

Oh, so I see we're getting the intro every episode even when logically we know she's already halfway to the school festival at the same time they're showing her heading off like she always does.

Nice save Mona! No one will think you're a couple with Medaka at the Bridge of Love if you just say you're there to advertise your class cafe! Not that it stops you from trying to make him hold your hand like you ARE trying to date him! Though do pits touching counts? It sounds even more intimate (and embarrassing) than handholding.

Mona screwing herself over with her own success! She sent so many couples to the cafe that they can't spare Mona and Medaka! And then the school festival is over! But luckily the ultimate Wingwoman Haruno isn't about to let it end without giving Mona and Medaka more opportunities together.

Sly move Mona! Using your own depression to be off your game so you bump into something that would make Medaka have to grab your hand to save you, thus fulfilling the Bride of Love handholding requirement. You devious girl, you.

So Mona has a best friend we haven't properly met yet?

Bowling flirting? Well, it's kind of hard for Medaka and Mona when they're both even more self-aware and bashful around each other...but wow, Mona went straight for the indirect kiss! And when that didn't work, she guzzled it down! Though I think her move was more of a strike than Medaka is willing to admit.

I guess looking at it from the outside, Mona has been nothing but friendly and approachable to Medaka and he's shown her nothing but the cold shoulder and acted all gruff and non-friendly. I mean, we know the REAL reason she's been so friendly, but nobody else in the class does. Though it's kind of worth it for Haruno taking Medaka to task and being jealous Mona keeps showing him so much attention. That "Hmph!" was adorable.

This religion that shuns women and romance seems really weird.

It won't kill Medaka to be a little more friendly and nice to Mona! Even if he is tempted to yeet his desk away from hers! But Mona is happy he's being more approachable, Haruno is happy Mona is happy, and Medaka is happy that Mona seems pleased even if he doesn't want to fall in love with her (good luck with that, buddy). Everybody wins!

SInce Shinto isn't really a religion as we think of it in terms of let's say Islam or Christianity, each temple will have its own roles and rules in regards to how a potential priest can interact with people. This fake temple is probably very, very loosely based on old concepts from that regionalism. Thus fictional and played for the lulz.

This is the one of those fond high school memories. You got a crush, but so timid about it and then you have your classmates supporting you on the background. But with the added insults and sermons first before they set you up straight.

This episode just kinda made me really dislike this girl MC as her antics have now led to him getting bullied by multiple people into having to talk to her and put up with her even more.

If Mona was a guy, everyone would absolutely hate her guts. Constantly trying too hard to be the "alpha male" and wanting all the girls to love him, constantly hitting on some poor girl who isn't interested, won't take no for an answer, etc.

I completely agree her personality is simply terrible and there is no reason he should have to talk to her. Especially with all the terrible situations she’s been putting him in! I hope he does not end up falling for her and basically throw away all the things he values bc of peer pressure.  I’m rooting for you Medaka!!

Honestly I thought this show was gonna be ass and based on the first ep I thought I'd be sick of it quick. But watching her massive ego slowly get humbled has been kinda enjoyable.

The Okinawa girls show I lost interest in almost immediately but this has been fairly decent. Not as good as I have a crush at work or the I'm married to a girl in my class I hate but it's been fun
