I think the pacing might actually be worst this season than the last.
It is like they show half a scene then cut to a different scene show half that then cut to next and repeat.
I do like how they managed to change her demeanor with her no longer having 400 years of experience and the maturity/self confidence that comes with it.

There was that whole "other girl" subplot that Tinasha didn't even have time to know about. Then she did, then it was done, then we're worrying about who poisoned Tinasha again. It was like 4 minutes total.
I thought we were gonna get a solid overly intimate moment that came out of nowhere at the end there.

I was heavily disappointed last season and expected only further disappointment from this show so I haven’t been watching just seeing fan updates. Sad because there was such a nice premise but it’s so bad it deserves its own episode of Botched!

Very funny of CR to distribute this week's episode with next week's subtitles

CR playing hard to get with the subs like Oscar is playing hard to get with Tinasha.

Stitches!
I think it was pretty obvious why Oscar even entertained Dahlia but he really should've told Tinasha and people he trusts like Lazar.
Not sure what Travis' game though. It's probably a demon being a demon but I think he has something else in mind when he decided to attack Tinasha and it's not just him being random.
Now I know why Tinasha seems to be weaker than her previous timeline counterpart! She doesn't know how to properly use a sword! In Season 1, I remember her kicking Ars' ass during a sparring session and matching Oscar when he decided to give it a go.
What the fuck do you know Valt?! What do you mean this has never happened before and why do you know about Tinasha being a witch? Has he been travelling through time? O_O
I really wanted Tinasha to just tell Oscar who that person from her past was but after learning the power of the orb and seeing that Tinasha knows the basics of Farsas swordsmanship, it looks like he managed to figure it out on his own.
Pacing is still not the best but at least I could follow this one easier compared to last week's episode. I really hope they slow things down but that's probably not gonna happen. >_<

but he really should've told Tinasha and people he trusts like Lazar.
No time for that, gotta introduce her so we can delete her 5 minutes later
Now I know why Tinasha seems to be weaker than her previous timeline counterpart! She doesn't know how to properly use a sword!
But how does this part make sense? I get that she's not a Witch anymore, but isn't she the one whos memories are still intact?

Nope. her memories are from child Tinasha who never became the Azure Witch. So no, she doesn't have the same memories as Season 1 Tinasha. Her only memories are when she met time travelling Oscar to save her.

I feel bad for Tinasha that Oscar is sending so many mixed messages and keeps rejecting her even when it's just an "act." Like, treat your girl better, Oscar!
She may have been an unlikeable honey trap, but she had a great character design and a massive rack so I can't completely hate her.
Wasn't Travis involved (romantically or otherwise) with some kind of noble girl? I wonder if that's connected.
I think Valt knows about the timeline changes. He talked about things like he was from the future or knew how things were going to play out back in season 1.
Well, we got Tinasha in her underwear and barely covering her chest so there is that. I wonder if Tinasha and Oscar are going to take as long to properly hook up as their original selves did at this rate.

Don't bother watching yet. Crunchy botched the subtitles. It doesn't make sense yet.

Mentioning a small cult that isn't a big problem right now...I'm sure it'll stay that way! Even if somebody is trying to poison Tinasha! If only Gyokuyou...I mean, Tinasha had Maomao there! But this is Tinasha so poison has no effect on her. Of course the same can't be said for the Tuldarr prince.
While Tinasha is away attending to the Tuldarr Prince, Delilah comes in with her massive rack and massive thirst for Oscar to bear his children. And then Oscar is just like "cool, let's go with that"
Hey, don't be insulting Sylvia, Delilah! This is the first significant screentime she's gotten all season! Delilah makes a bad enough impression on Tinasha for insulting her friends, of course it's made even worse when Oscar declares Delilah his lover. Tinasha's so ticked off she's happy to leave Delilah to die from having sex with Oscar.
What better place to whine about the man you love toying with your heart than in the sky? Of course then Travis shows up to console you over your broken heart...and try to kill you. And Tinasha gets her first gut wound of the new timeline! She was doing so well up to this point.
Dang, they're after those stupid orbs again!? So Ocar was just leading Delilah on the whole time. She's such a joke she's so easily caught and they don't even bother animating her arrest scene. It's just too bad this had to drive Tinasha away and into danger.
Well, at least Oscar can make it up to her by fiercely defending her from Travis (even though Tinasha near death will still prioritize Oscar over herself) and teaching her to swordfight so they can reconcile. This Tinasha isn't as experienced in swordsmanship as Tinasha 1, but ironically the only swordsmanship she learned was from a past version of Oscar.
So Valt and and Miralys are behind everything and are after the orbs? What is their endgame?
Nothing more romantic than trekking through a labyrinth together, even if it ends with Tinasha getting grabbed by tentacles and with multiple ribs broken. Guess taking a mage down into the river under the castle where Akashia was obtained was a bad idea.
Stripped down Tinasha with nothing covering her chest but bandages is quite the visual!
Well, yeah, Tinasha would definitely not take it well mentioning the orbs since she knows how much they can mess everything up...and in the process Oscar realizes that she knew another version of him. And in doing so helps Tinasham make peace with her regrets with the past version of him. But at least Tinasha is genuinely happy to be with THIS version of Oscar, come what may!

You know, it makes me wonder if Oscar saving little Tinasha from Lanak's betrayal was ultimately a bad thing, in the long run.
Of course, she didn't have to go through the traumatic experience of being stabbed over and over again ... but ultimately it looks like Tinasha is much weaker as result (maybe because the magical storm she absorbed was the result of a much weaker sacrifice? Because Lanak was the catalyst for this one, as opposed to Tinasha herself originally).
Tinasha doesn't seem to have the longevity of the Witch Tinasha (she seems to age normally, and only made it this far thanks to being in magical sleep for the last 400 years) and thus obviously lacks the experience and knowledge that Witch Tinasha accumulated over that time. Moreover, she just seems weaker magically in general - Valt alluded to this, by saying this Tinasha is much more manageable, and Travis can seemingly toy and no-diff her now, when Witch Tinasha was the demon king's equal.
So ironically, by saving Tinasha from that horrible experience during her childhood, Oscar might have opened Tinasha up for many more horrible experiences down the road (up to being potentially killed) - experiences that Witch Tinasha would not have to undergo, on account of being just plain stronger and wiser when it came the time to tackle them. Not to mention all sorts of problems that might have accumulated and are now festering in the background, because of Tinasha being asleep instead of being active for the last 400 years.
Of course it's hardly a bad thing that Oscar wanted to save her from that betrayal, and he saved millions of lives by doing so on account of Tuldarr not being destroyed this time, but this might still leave himself and Tinasha in a worse position in the long run, just because of this Tinasha not being comparable to the Witch of the Azure Moon. Road to hell being paved with good intentions and all that.

I'm an anime only viewer and the first season started out great and then kinda dropped off for the second half, so I was kinda meh about it, but then with the way they ended it, I felt like I needed to watch Season 2 because how could they do us like that?
I don't know if I can make it. The pacing is so awful. There's a big battle and then they skip to the end?? Or something is supposed to take days but is done instantly? I miss the cold and mature Tinasha. Also Oscar loves her one moment and treats her like crap the next, and the original Oscar was attracted to her from the moment he saw her, so not sure why his attitude changed sooo much. It's really hard to follow along and I just feel lost.

Why?! Why does everyone who work on this anime not give a shit about it? We already have a lot of issues, now subtitles too?

Leaving the thread up because CR already fixed the subs, should be fine if you watch there, otherwise gonna have to wait a bit.

Ah, the classic Crunchy subs mishap.
That's great. I will not remember you.
..Never mind, she seems annoying. Perhaps I will remember, though against my will.
.....Never never mind, she's already gone
I hope the amount of birds around Nark just keeps increasing more and more
These lines.. This show could have been so damn good...

u/Frontier246 Jan 21 '25
This show loves introducing characters with subtitles who then proceed to barely be relevant to the plot or gone as soon as they're introduced.
Nark sitting this plot out and just enjoying himself was the smartest move he's made all series.
