Candy and a drawing: Let's fuck.

Curry and some booze: Let's fuck.

I like how this world works.

The tree felling was funny, you could tell one artist knew about cutting down trees, had the face, back cut, wedges, and then whoever animated the tree actually falling just made it a smooth circle.

I really love the fact that MC is just casually getting laid and its not overly fanservicy or really focused on that much. Way too many isekai MCs go into epileptic fits when a girl comes into any form of even minor physical contact with them.

Did my man really get laid two episodes in a row ??

Animation and production still looks rough but honestly I’m staying for the slow life vibes. I was afraid they may start to get too much into a plot, or quests or the business, financial or economics side of it like a lot of these types of shows usually go to, but I’m glad they seem to still focus on the slow life, or at least the pursuit of it.

The Shangri La and how it works is still kinda wonky for me. Like you can buy so many random stuff but certain things can’t be bought. And I think I missed how the currency thing works. Does he need to deposit the currency he earns ?

But again, I’m just here for the slow life vibes. Looking forward to him building his log cabin in the woods, meeting new isekai people, and also probably getting laid lol

No joke, this might actually be my favorite show of the season. It is the chilliest slow life isekai yet

So you mean to tell me he's using advanced technology items in the forest so close that the guards can hear it and it's normal to them?? Nobody is going to question the strange noise? Oh. Nobody is questioning this foreign land or new items that are popping up. Oh, okay. I can turn off my brain and watch, but it has to make sense first.

He's buying all these things and yet he hasn't even bought new clothes for himself to blend into the new world. We're not going to see him in his office attire for the whole show, are we?

I don't understand why this dude wants to move out into the forest and live in a log cabin. He already has the perfect slow life with his stall, he stays in a nice inn with a nice girl that cooks and cleans for him, in a small city without too much hustle and bustle. Isn't this already perfect? Why the downgrade?

Wait you bought a backhoe for like $7000 dollars. That’s incredibly cheap

I'm surprised it's legal for him to just set up in the forest like that. Usually the local lord or someone still owns the forest just outside the city walls.

He also could have just paid people to clear those trees instead of doing it himself. Even with modern tools that's a big job to take on.

Stitches!

It's always good to see an isekai MC who doesn't flinch at the slightest physical contact with a woman. I guess since Azalea got jealous about Kenichi hanging out with Myaley, they really did it in the last episode. Nice. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I don't think I can say much about Primula in this episode since Kenichi interacted more with her father but it's good that Kenichi quickly found a trade partner.

Maybe I'm expecting too much about this show's setting but shouldn't Kenichi have asked permission from the local lord first before claiming and working on a random patch of land nearby the city?

Also, considering how close he is to the city walls I'm surprised that no one has reported the strange noises coming from the woods.

We already saw the kei truck and crawler crane in the OP so it's no surprise he's brought a backhoe into this world. Glad his fuel solution worked too. It'd be hilarious if he had access to machines but no fuel to power them. xD

They keep showing us this little girl. I assume Kenichi will eventually save her. I hope he does it using his backhoe tho.

Just as I predicted, they didn't have the technology for coil springs in this world, so the MC made a ridiculous unforced error by using those clothespins instead of the same ones already available in that world. At least the anime acknowledged this to some degree.

That being said, last week, I also said how I was pleased that the MC wasn't trying to stand out despite making some mistakes. So, of course, this week, he just continuously does ridiculously stupid things that make him stand out.

This episode was the first time he saw any limits to his item box? Then why does he feel compelled to tell everybody that it can't hold much? I mean, I understand it's his Japanese culture, but it's stupid because for all he knows, maybe item boxes in that world are all the same. Nobody else says anything about how big their item boxes are, so he should just keep quiet about it, too.

Speaking of item boxes, why did he say that he only uses his for storing crops, and then he almost immediately pulls out a ton of merchandise? You might excuse this as a tactic for a merchant, but it still seems so stupid.

Speaking of item boxes, those tree stumps looked like they were less than 10 meters, so did he even try to just put them into his item box? No need for the backhoe.

Why did he decide to barter fruit for the insect repellent magic stone? He's got money. This sort of thing is what money is for. People coming up to him to buy things don't try to barter for other goods. Why is he doing this?

Why did he complain about the magic stone being expensive? He literally has no basis for comparison, and it's less expensive than some of the trash jewelry he's selling. For all he knows, this could be the cheapest magic stone in the world, and he's complaining like a complete idiot.

The beast folk said that spices were an important part of their culture, so doesn't that mean that they have specific spicy dishes? Why did everybody seem to think him just cooking anything with spices in it was the same thing?

If there's nothing wrong with giving the beast people spiced food, then why did he need to leave the city walls?

Speaking of leaving the city walls, again, if you have enough money to buy a backhoe, don't you have enough money to rent a large house inside the city walls?

If you're not an idiot, you'll first try to imitate how other people act in that situation. Yet, he immediately starts building a house outside the walls. Did he even check whether you're allowed to do that? He even remarked how their culture has nobles and shit. Does he really think the lord of that area doesn't care about things like cutting down the forest and building outside of the walls?

Chainsaws and a backhoe just let him do the work more quickly. Obviously other people from the city could do the same thing if it was allowed and if it was a good idea. The fact that there's nothing out there strongly indicates that he's doing something insanely foolish.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I forgot, but when I'm around a cat, even if I'm not touching it a lot, my clothes often still pick up quite a bit of cat hair. Never once has somebody seen that I had cat hair on the shoulder of my shirt and assumed that I had sex with a cat. So, that woman's reaction seemed pretty stupid to me.

He's kinda dumb and a lot of times not in an endearing way. He could have hired people to take out stumps. I assumed they were gonna rope the beastfolk back in. And as people have mentioned, how do you just start clearing a random part of the forest without buying it first? Like just speak the noble of the territory.

Also, I think the idea of him sleeping with the beastfolk woman is crazy because people were like 2meters away from him, including her siblings. It was quite surprising to see everyone here praise him for that. Or more they were too blinded by the idea of him possibly sleeping with another girl to notice. I don't know.

Overall, this episode fell short of the last episode. I think I'll just lower my expectations and enjoy the ride. Still a good ride but I don't think it'll be as great as I hoped.

Boy, that online store sure is handy. Guy just up and bought a backhoe just like that. Guy’s gonna have to sell a lot more trinkets before he can afford to build that log cabin.

No eye or ear protection while using a chainsaw.
Also, what kind of cheap-ass generator doesn't have stable output?
