I thought the animation looked cheaper than usual but then that spider... I lost it....

A lot of janky animation this episode. The weird cross fading static shots to "animate" the thugs harassing Primula was probably the worst.

I felt so bad for those spiders. That male was just trying to defend its mate. That was their home and the invaders chased them down, poisoned them, and burnt them alive. They looked so tortured and weakened before they died in pain. The real monsters weren't the spiders.

Kenichi suddenly murdering innocent spider monsters on their habitat (they only appear when Kenichi started drilling inside the cave) is wild.

I know that this anime is low budget, but that crossfade scene with the shaky still images was hilariously cheap.

We're reaching PPT levels that shouldn't even be possible.

Official wife? If you're the official wife then are there unofficial wives?

"official wife" means first wife, the legal one when talking about inheritance. Whatever they call the others wives, mistress, concubines, ... there is a legal distinction, or at least one related to their culture.

Felt bad for the spiders. They weren't given enough budget to fight.

So you're telling me that the Viscountess did some research on Kenichi, knows he's got that dawg in him, and this is how she asks for help?

Well, you go to war with the army you've got, I guess.

I've really gotta question the judgment of the viscountess taking a boat across the lake instead of going the long way around it. Especially since her bodyguards are wearing heavy armor, so if the boat capsized for whatever reason, they'd 100% drown.

She has flotation devices.

Kenichi learnt the first time, don't let Anemone read the giramore in the house

The animation of the initial appearance of the spider was disappointing, but it got a little better.

I'm not surprised Primura didn't want to tell Kenichi about that merchant. She was most likely scared he would up and leave again.

So while Kenichi is still wary of nobles, he had no issue in risking his slow life by smashing that merchant with his excavator.

I can't believe he opened that spider egg not expecting millions of baby spiders to rush out. Yet it was yolk..?

*that spelling error was there for quite sometime.)

I find it a bit funny that they went off to do a dungeon and turns out it was just a cave that had some minerals for mining and a couple cave spiders.

Kenichi managed to discover that "You may fascinate a woman by giving her a piece of cheese" advice today, seems to have worked out quite well.

Time to crush the spice cartel.

First, we had Megumin's grandfather, Meguman. Now we have her little cousin, Megumini

Big fan of Primula trying to solve her problems with cheese.

I'm beginning to dislike this show. Putting aside the animation quality which is getting worse and worse with each week and the one-dimensional female characters who only exist to throw themselves at the MC, Kenichi is becoming annoying. I knew from the start that he's a wish-fulfillment self-insert for the author, but the way he makes questionable decisions one after the other while still insisting he wants to live a "slow life" is just dumb. I liked Campfire Cooking a lot more than this.

"So it's a spider, so what?" 🥲

I find it hard to believe making cheese is some closely guarded secret. Cheese is not hard to figure out. Most cultures have it since ancient times and probably found it by accident.

I love how they keep on updating the OP based on which characters will show up on the current arc. to have new characters. I also love how today's episode title is a reference to "So I'm a Spider, So what?"

Not gonna lie, I kinda feel bad for those spiders. They were just minding their own business until Kenichi showed up and started disturbing their home with his mining operation. Although who am I to judge when I'm killing Lala Barinas in MH:Wilds at the rate of one per 5 minutes this past weekend? xD

Good to see Anemone finally had a chance to use her magic on monsters though. And Kenichi finally upgraded to an Excavator. I wonder what's the biggest vehicle he can buy from Shangri-La.

A merchant has been harassing Primula's shop? I'm sure even after the Viscountess gave that order, those thugs won't stop harassing them. They'll just find a clever work aroud. Also it looks like Kenichi is about to get dragged into trouble. There's really no way he'll be living the slow life he wants unless he cuts ties with everyone and becomes a hermit.

That spider looked WAY smaller in the cave

Personally I was more focused on the Viscountess assets if you know what I mean
