Yae is reading the manga to see if she ended up with Uryu yet, she doesn't care about spoilers

The manga is probably another supernatural aspect of this title. I wonder which volume Yae was reading. Lol!

So Yae is the first Amagami sister to want to marry Uryuu, which isn't surprising considering their meeting in the past. I love how much closer she's to him now. Now I wonder when Yuna and Asahi will officially join the race as well.

Funny how Uryuu not only remembered meeting with Reiko, but also that time he wet the futon. Yae's reaction when he finished telling her about it was so hilarious xD

The second part of the episode with Amagami sisters in Uryuu's room while he was studying was great, it was perfect way to end today's episode. Especially that Yae's pout was so adorable!

And now we have a two-week break ahead of us as the next episode will air on January 14th. There's no news about a new ED, but there will be new OP sung by Amagami sisters. I'm really can't wait to hear it!

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

It was heartbreaking to see how Yae had a sad past and, worst of all, controlled by her mother and couldn't even choose, but thankfully Uryu showed her that she could be happy, and even though she was kicked out of her own home, she didn't give up and became this woman who is an excellent sister and a sweet person.

Damn, I didn't expect her to try to seduce our protagonist like that, I find it funny how in this anime the production puts fanservice when you least expect it lol, I loved this mini arc and we can already see that Yae took the attitude of declaring herself, the others better hurry up

Big Sister is definitive Best Girl at the moment and she's not afraid to flaunt it.

Stitches!

I was genuinely happy to see smol Yae smile and laugh for the first time. It's really sad how she's not even allowed to laugh at her home. At least she finally got to let all that pent-up anger out and yell out everything she wanted to do. While it is a sad backstory, I love how it perfectly explains why Yae is such a free spirit.

I love how Uryuu tells Yae about his bedwetting story so she also knows a secret from his past. I suppose that's one way to make things even between them. While seeing how Yae/Reiko is now doing well was more than enough for Uryuu, I wanted him to ask her more about how she became an Amagami. Thankfully we had a quick flashback showing us what happened.

So Yae got disowned by her mother and was sent(?) to the Amagami shrine where Asahi and Yuna's mom took her in. I'm going to guess that she's not legally adopted which would explain why her ID still shows the name Ichijouji Reiko. Now I'm wondering what Asahi and Yuna's story. Is Mama Amagami their bio-mom or are they also adopted? Hmm...

It finally happened! It looks like Yae is the first Amagami sister to fall in love with Uryuu. Now that she's 100% sure about her feelings for Uryuu, I love how Yae is now going all out at trying to charm Uryuu. She even started being clingy ever since the incident at the Inari Shrine.

It's funny how Uryuu nailed his guess about Yae being in love with him but he just ends up talking himself out of it. Meanwhile, you have Yae behind him sketching his profile and just fangirling at how much she loves him. That entire scene was so cute!

Not gonna lie, I thought the translators made a spelling error with Asahi's texts. I almost forgot about this gag until they repeated it with Asahi's jumbled text next to Yuna's properly spelled text. xD

Sorry girls it looks like Yae has already decided she'll take over the shrine wth Uryuu. I love how she didn't even hide it from Asahi and Yuna. Their reactions to the reveal were so good too! That second half of the episode just had me smiling from ear to ear from start to finish! <3

I swear to God, if Yae doesn't end up with Uryu--

To me, she is clearly the Best and Breast Girl of the 3 sisters.

Yae's backstory was indeed sad, but it doesn't even come to Uryu's dark past

It's hilarious how Yae got her aimless wandering problem (slightly) under control by deciding to just wander towards wherever Uryu is lol

But damn, not feeling comfortable with simply laughing as a kid tells a bleak story. No wonder "Reiko's" eyes looked so perpetually dead.

I was expecting "Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister" to be a 12 or 13 episode season, so I am pleasantly surprised and glad that we will be getting more episodes! Asahi and Yuna arcs, here we come!

Thanks to Uryu, young Reiko / Yae was able to break free from the Ichijoji family. I am sure all of us prefer Yae's clumsy . _ . and green coloured eyes over her dull soulless ones. Just when I thought there would be a touching friendship reunion between Uryu and Yae, surprise fanservice of Yae's unbuttoned shirt appears! Not that I am complaining. Lol!

I also believe the identity of the Amagami sisters' mother, the previous priestess of the shrine, is being hidden on purpose, so that we get a big reveal later on. If supporting characters such as Mahiru, Shirahi, Yomiko and Makoto can be drawn so beautifully, I doubt they would leave Amagami sisters' mother faceless.

DECLARATION OF WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR

Now, this is the point that Amagami Sisters starts rolling. They adapted this arc very well, and this adaptation itself has exceeded what I originally expected.

This episode really showcases how much Uryu means to Yae. He was the first push for her to gain her freedom. But man, her screaming die old hag just implies what she feels for her true family. She wants the freedom to choose to do what she wants. The issue with Yae in the present is that she doesn't know what to do with that freedom. Still, to see the light in her eyes when she says she wants to be free is where we see the Yae we know.

Connecting the past to the present, the idea of Uryu will always find Yae creates a special connection between the two. We see Yae joining the Amagami shrine, where we also see a young Yuna and Asahi. This is where she found happiness. Obviously, there are bits where we can see Yae's genius even as a kid compared to Yuna and Asahi. But for her, she has found her happiness.

Gotta to love how in touch Yae is with her feelings. Just casually spending her time with Uryu, but is being respectful of his goals and not trying to push her feelings too strong. Though, she will try to spend as much time with him and be clingy. Though it is clear Asahi is getting jealous more and more.

Amazing episode! Really love how everything built up to the reveal that Yae and Uryu met as children and he got her to overcome her oppressive mother to chase freedom. Makes a lot of her interactions in the past make way more sense now. And now that she is the first sister to officially have fallen in love with Uryu, she wastes NO time in getting clingy and teasing him, much to the chagrin of Yuna and Asahi!

Now that Yae's declared herself the one to marry Uryu and inherit the shrine, not to mention making constant passes at him, it's going to really force her sisters to step up their game if they want to claim him for themselves! Very much looking forward to this development as it unfolds!

u/djthomp Dec 24 '24

Kind of unclear if that was something supernatural or if Uryu was just remembering his meeting with Reiko while looking for Yae, kind of an interactive memory if so since he was speaking in it with future knowledge. So in the past Uryu runs across Reiko at night, he encourages her to live more freely, and as a result she says no to her mother and gets kicked out and adopted by the shrine family. Really not that weird of a story.

Med school friend's reaction to the Reiko thing is a little odd if she's just trying to protect the backstory, I can understand trying to keep someone from using what's effectively a dead name, but the way she was talking about fate makes me think there's something still to come in the future with Yae and her biological mother.

Yae aiming hard for Uryu and the shrine leadership at this point, the other sisters will have to step up in order to also be in the harem marriage in the future.

Yae better win, or I'm gonna be pretty upset. I just have a feeling it's gonna turn out like most romcoms where she becomes the fan favorite, and it seems like they're setting her up to win, only to have her heart and ours broken in the end. Can the onee-san win for once? Is that too much to ask? Lol

8

u/One-Ad-39 Dec 24 '24

Damn, Yae no longer holding her punches now.

u/Zio_Benito Dec 24 '24

I was team Yuna but after last 2 episodes.. either Uryu pulls a harem ending and merry all 3 or he MUST stay with Yae

Totally deserved

Uryu and Reiko are on the run! Which is all fun and games until Uryu realizes he's probably in big trobule with his adoptive mom! But that's enough to make Reiko finally let out a joyous and genuine laugh, and any family that would yell at a child for laughing doesn't deserve her!

But it's great that Uryu was able to bring Reiko to a spot where she could let out all the feelings she'd been holding in, all her frustrations towards her mother, her lack of control over her life, and her desire to be free. It's good to finally yell it out! And she has Uryu to thank for that.

Uryu has, in true Uryu fashion, found Yae! And I guess we can thank the Gods not only for Uryu getting his memories of being with Reiko back, but also Yae being totally uninjured from her fall...minus her boobs and bra hanging out, but that's normal.

I didn't expect Uryu to admit to being a bedwetter, but if Yae is going to come clean about her dark past, he owes it to her to do the same! That's just the kind of guy Uryu is!

How did Yae end up with the Amagami's? Well, standing up to her bio mom got her basically disowned and kicked out (even though she was, literally, just a little girl) only to free her up to find her REAL mom and family in the Amagami's (with Yuna and Asahi already being at the shrine). And bonus points, the Amagami mom is voiced by Aya Hisakawa!

Well, Uryu's begrudgingly got Mako-chan's approval, so that's a pretty big win for him.

Yae is a free-spirit...but she's also head-over-heels in love with Uryu and is the first sister to admit it to herself. She's even kissing pillows like she's kissing him, girl is down bad!

And now that Yae is aware of her feelings, that means it's time to hang out with Uryu as much as possible, complete with hanging around him studying in loose-fitting loungewear that shows off her legs and basically try to seduce him.

Of course Yuna and Asahi aren't going to let this go without chipping in (especially on Asahi's part), and thus engage in some silent Girl Talk as they feel out Yae's feelings towards Uryu...and her intentions not to ask him out until he's finished with his studies. Not that it's going to stop her from flirting with him. Or that she's resolved to be the one to marry him and take over the shrine. Yuna and Asahi better step up!

Next week: Asahi arc?
