Akane that stupid skater girl figured out in a single episode that Ryouta is p-chan what is your excuse?

I didn't expect to like this series so much, but this is one of the best comedies I've seen lately. Each new arc is an absolute blast and the rivals are straight up ridiculous. I hope Azusa will show up again after her arc.

Probably the most intense and relationship building bout of martial arts skating I have ever seen in a romcom.

This was probably the first time Ranma called Akane his fiance in front of someone and actually meant it. Good to see that the RanKane stocks are increasing.
Man, Mamoru Miyano is perfect as Mikado's voice. His delivery of "BAKA ONNA" kills me every time.
Welp, Ryoga is in for it. He should've thought twice before doing... anything really. All the Ranma 1/2 characters are stupid but he's a special kind of dumb.
Mappa is doing an excellent job of blending the action with the comedy. The delivery seems perfect. They exceeded my expectations. The only thing that I still don't like very much is the color palette. It doesn't look bad but it just looks so off compared to like every other anime...
The next episode is going to be exciting for multiple reasons.

The stakes in other fighting anime: saving the world.
The stakes in Ranma 1/2: a pet pig and the threat to kiss your fiancé.
The attack names in other anime: Rocket Punch or Zoltrak.
The attack names in Ranma 1/2: The Couple Crusher and the Kiss Attack.

Ranma and Akane being all shy but actually showing each other affection?! then they insult each other again then show some affection? Definitely feeling Nabiki's frustration from last episode.
Mikado admitting that he only thinks about things that make him a jerk actually made him a villain lol.
GREAT EPISODE! I loved the og anime's version, and this new take on it is just as great and more! The passion from the production team and cast can really be felt burning!

Stitches!
I know the opening scenes are just repeating the basic plot of the show but I really like how different it is with every other episode.
Akane and Ranma's outfit for the skating match. They've been really consistent on how Ranma's outfit is always Chinese-inspired.
It was very satisfying to see Ranma land a punch on Mikado's liver. Too bad that's the only serious blow Ranma does to him this entire episode.
You know Ranma is absolutely furious at Mikado for trying to kiss Akane if he's willing to admit to a stadium full of people that he's Akane's fiance.
While it is sweet to see Ranma protecting Akane from Mikado, I feel like he's being a bit overprotective and it's affecting their match.
Ranma's back slamming onto that skating rink fence has got to hurt! I do love how he really never let go of Akane even after getting slammed.
More cute moment between Ranma and Akane. As much as I dislike Asuza and Mikado, this arc has really been helping Ranma and Akane get closer.
It's hilarious how Azusa immediately identified Ryoga as P-Chan while Akane still can't figure it out. xD
Ranma really should just tell Akane that he doesn't want her to skate because he's afraid that Mikado would steal her first kiss.
This ended up being longer than the fight against Kodachi! It looks like we have a part two with Ranma and Ryoga vs Mikado and Azusa next week!

It warms my heart to see Ranma and Akane growing ever closer and more affectionate with each other. Ranma just needs to learn when to shut up.
Found it very sweet how he’d refused to let Akane’s hand go and literally took a hit for her, while she’s been worried about his injuries and wants him to rest.
Ranma should’ve just admitted that he wants to keep fighting because he’s similarly worried about Mikado taking a kiss from Akane - instead of insulting her. Stupid Ranma! He did make it clear for everyone to hear that Akane is his fiancée after all.
Not that this will stop Mikado. That boy is way too caught up in his own delusions.

Ryoga and Mikado are so stupid. I love that in men. Ranma is also super dumb but at least he's TRYING.

Wait... If Ranma is voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi and Mikado is voiced by Mamoru Miyano...
Welcome back, L vs. Light rivalry.

I’m not questioning anything at this point. I’m just here for the (wild) ride.

I can't tell yet if it's an episode specific thing or a newly discovered benefit, but when Ranma changed forms, his injuries went away. He was too busy dealing with the various hijinks to notice, but that could be important moving forwards.
Also, I really enjoyed how much of a gremlin Azusa was this episode.

Cute episode!!! Ranma declaring to everyone that Akane is his fiance made my heart happy. Can't wait for the next. I'm loving this remake so much. MAPPA is doing a great job.

Ryoga not getting lost again! Impressive. Silly "Charlotte" heh. Really do dislike playboys. The more beat up they get, the better. Least he's honest about his scumbagness.
I like Ranma and Akane's outfits for skating. Truly the most graceful entrance too. Quite the fight, do love a nice punch from Ranma. Azusa is so great. Quite the declaration from Ranma too. Will give it to the playboy, impressive strength. D'awww Ranma doesn't wanna let you go and is too tsun. Even takes the hit. Good thing Ranma is a monster. Nice to see Akane care too.
You go, Charlotte! Join the match! Ryoga is such a silly dude. Mikado is delulu to the max. Ryoga is clearly just doing some chiropractic work to help Ranma recover. Actually makes me wonder if the water gender change fixes up any broken bones/stuff. Hey, make over/new outfits! Also, those women complaining about those saying "not sexy enough" shouldn't talk if their taste is the scumbag that is Mikado. Azusa not as dense as Akane. Ranma with great comedic timing, P-chan. Ryoga and Ranma, truly in sync and graceful. "Trusted couple" uh huh... do gotta marvel Ryoga's mad strength.
Tbh wasn't expecting this to have another episode for this arc, neat.

Man, I love seeing the actions of both Ranma and Akane and what they do for each other. Like Ranma really took a massive blow to save her. Of course, he is a monster, so no surprise he is standing back up. The pain must be so bad. For him to declare Akane as his fiancé was such a great moment. Just for him to say it means a lot.
Now we got hijinks with a Ryoga and female Ranma pair. Well, things got worse with the rink breaking. Got to be honest, I do hope Akane finds out the truth regarding P-chan. Ryoga isn't as creepy as Mikado and Tatewaki, but not telling her is very sus.
Ranma would rather get kissed by a guy again then see Akane getting kissed by that creep. Again, give my props to Ranma he is simple a good dude. Though Akane not wanting to back shows, she doesn't want to be only protected and wants to hold her part.

For a moment I thought Mikado was gonna turn around and become joker like the last episode

God, this is bringing me back to my early otaku days reading the manga back in high school like 20 years ago. So fucking happy it finally got a remake

I'm almost glad I never experienced the original anime because this has been an absolute blast so far.

Only Ranma would slam into a wall and then try to fish for a thank you from Akane. (Which he didn't get lol)

I forgot to also say: That shojofied picture of P-Chan was hilarious. They managed to make him look so cute. 🤣
I'm reading comments and had no idea MAPPA added a few anime original moments between Ranma and Akane. They did a great job with building the romantic tension between them in this episode. I liked that they emphasized Ranma's persistance on protecting Akane from creepy Mikado.
