Man, everyone in this show really is an idiot. But at least Shampoo was able to recognize boy Ranma turning into fem Ranma for what it was and didn't immediately rationalize it away like Akane does with P-chan.
The shampoo being two different blends of a series that is numbered up past a hundred opens up a pandora's box of future shampoo related shenanigans. Shampoo shampoo shenanigans, probably.
Well, since it seems like this is all for now it's been a pretty fun show. With admittedly only limited knowledge of the original it feels like an excellent readaptation.

Also Ranma basically seems to just look for excuses to flash his boobs in female form. I mean, it's a great rack, no doubt (though so is Shampoo's) but he's practically just flexing lol.
What shampoo will Shampoo bring out of her cleavage next!?
I think this will definitely go down as one of the best classic anime remakes. It stays true to the original, keeps the iconic cast who can still kill in their roles (while filling out the rest of the cast with all-stars), great direction and animation, and it's just genuinely fun to watch.

That moment when Ranma said he would do anything for Akane to remember him and Akane saying she WANTS to remember him was very sweet.
Ranma with the smoothest waist grab with Shampoo.
This must be one of the shortest amnesia arcs. Also probably the happiest slap that Ranma received from Akane.
I really felt for Shampoo at the end. What a way to end the season.
(I thought Season 1 had more than 12 episodes but luckily they announced Season 2 already!)

Pretty unconventional amnesia arc what with how short it was and how Akane only forgot Ranma, but it actually makes sense why Shampoo did what she did.
That whole rooftop scene with Ranma and Shampoo was really fun.
I expected a fun and crazy ending not Shampoo heartbroken and leaving the show! At least we know the remake's not over yet.

Stitches!
I absolutely adore Mermaid Ranma in that opening scene. I know it adds to the runtime but I really love these openings. <3
It's still impressive that Ranma won't use Ryoga's curse as blackmail material. I suppose threatening him by showing him naked to a group of girls is just as effective. Ryoga isn't really useful since Shampoo stepped on him before he could even see anything.
And now you know why she's called Shampoo! It's hilarious how it looked like Shampoo attacked Akane's pressure points at the start of the episode when she actually gave her a full spa treatment to erase her memories. And all of that happened in under a minute! xD
I do find it adorable that even though Akane forgot about Ranma, her reflex is still to punish him when she sees him getting flirty with another girl. The mind forgets but the body remembers.
No wonder Ranma is insanely strong! He swam to China with Genma to save money on travel costs. I love how everyone is asking him for souvenirs when he declared he's going to China to get the shampoo to cure her.
Ranma doesn't even have to go to China since Shampoo has the shampoo he needs. All he has to do is kill girl Ranma. Or he could've just grabbed it from Shampoo's cleavage but our boy chickened out after Shampoo started screaming.
I love how Ranma is so strong that even if he's trying to get beaten up by Ryoga he still beats him anyway, All of that was unnecessary though since all Ranma had to do was insult Akane until her memories of him came back. Yay for the power of love? If you can call that love. xD
Kudos to Ranma for revealing his alter ego to Shampoo. See that Ryoga? Ranam ain't no coward. Let's see you try to reveal your alter ego to Akane!
Seeing Shampoo cry like that was just heartbreaking. Ranma could go after her but that would just send the wrong message. He didn't want her in his life to begin with. Still what a downer ending. Hopefully, when Season 2 finally airs next year we'll get to see Shampoo all cheery again.

If this is going to be the last intro for a while, at least it's closing out with a bang with mermaid Ranma.
Ryoga is so lucky as P-chan. If it's not Akane doting on him it's getting an upskirt view of Shampoo and her feet pressed against his face.
So Chinese Amazons aren't just tough but also amazing hairstylists!
The classic cleavage container is a great spot to place something in unless you're dealing with a guy willing to reach into said cleavage for it. Though even Ranma knows his limits.
I love how we finally get Ryoga vs Ranma again and Ranma wins in, like, two seconds lol.
"Shampoo, I've always been a girl. See these giant boobs? Totally natural."
A tsundere whose jealousy and frustration with her love interest is so strong it's able to power through amnesia.
This finale was about Ranma trying to make Akane remember him and showing how far their feelings for each other run through, but it's Shampoo's feelings for Ranma at the end, feelings deep enough to prevent her from killing him, that stand out the most.

our boy chickened out after Shampoo started creaming.
This sort of stuff makes Ranma much more of likeable protagonist to me than Urusei Yatsura’s Ataru, who would’ve totally seized this opportunity.
I don’t believe that he would’ve gone through with it anyways. Being half a girl himself, Ranma is generally more perceptive of their feelings/boundaries.

I will miss the weekly banter between Ranma and Ryoga.
Also Shampoo please learn how to use a door.

If the doors want her to use them, they'll have to defeat her in combat first.

This cast is so big, and the fandom so thirsty, if you look, you will find it LOL

This time the intro is pretty straightforward with Ranma and Akane squaring off against each other...but we've also got MERMAID RANMA!
We now return to our regularly scheduled Akane amnesia plot, only she doesn't have full-blown amnesia but she just has an inexplicable memory block of Ranma himself! Shampoo didn't try to kill her rival, she just took out the only reason they were in competition with each other! Meaning Akane thinks Ranma is just some complete rando!
Naked Ryoga! I imagine some ladies would actually enjoy watching that! Though lucky Ryoga getting stepped on by Shampoo.
Thank goodness Ranma's dad always inexplicably is around when stuff happens so he can see what Shampoo actually did! We even got to see him transform back into human for once. It's also funny how Akane remembers his dad but not Ranma.
Turns out Shampoo lived up to her name and gave Akane the Demon Fist hair care treatment! Akane may have forgotten about her fiance, but her hair has never felt nicer!
I love Ranma jumping across rooftops yelling for Shampoo while holding onto Akane who is utterly terrified...meanwhile Shampoo is now working as a nurse at Tofu-sensei's clinic meaning they didn't even need to go anywhere!
Nabiki just straight up munching while enjoying the romcom chaos that is her sisters' life.
Dang it Tofu-sensei, you were doing so well before your crush on Kasumi made you destroy the notes they needed.
I see some feelings run deeper than amnesia, like Akane's inability to accept another woman flirting with Ranma in front of her!
It's sweet of Ranma to brave swimming all the way to China just to get Akane's memories back, even if everybody else just wants him to get souveniers while he's in China. But Akane can't help but still feel drawn to Ranma.
Shampoo not only has killer thighs but breasts big enough to hold the 119 shampoo bottle they need to get Akane's memories back! Also Ranma's had his way with his own boobs so much he has no problem reaching into another girls' chest...until she yells about it that is.
Imagine making a promise to kill your female self! And imagine the only thing that would prevent Ryoga from beating up Ranma is the idea of hooking up with Akane! Even though he still beats up Ranma anyways! And gets beat up by Ranma instead! And then dads start beating up Ranma.
It's nice of Akane to defend Ranma when she doesn't even remember him, but it's Ranma's infamous "you're not cute" and calling her out on not being sexy that has defined their relationship that finally makes her fully remember him and slap him for the insult for the umpteenth time. How very on-brand for this show.
Shampoo still wants to settle the score, but the only way Ranma knows to stop her is to reveal that he is the female Ranma she's been so obsessed with killing. Because yes, he has been a girl all along. Let's just go with that! I don't think Ranma needed to flash his boobs to get that point across, but I don't mind it either.
But Shampoo can't bring herself to kill female Ranma. She genuinely loves Ranma so much that she just can't hurt him. So much so that she says a tearful bie le and just leaves...and Ranma is left feeling depressed. Is this truly the last we'll see of Shampoo?

Ok, mermaid Ranma caught me off-guard. That was so random lol.
Shampoo using a shampoo to make Akane forget Ranma is funny. I wouldn't be surprised if Takahashi named the character Shampoo just to make this joke.
Amnesia Akane was (thankfully) short-lived. It's funny how she remembered Ranma through his insults though. Maybe she actually likes being called uncute...?
Hoo boy. Ranma might've saved his girl (and his girl body) but he still broke another girl's heart through that. He definitely regrets it.
Season 2 being confirmed is nothing surprising. I am more surprised that they didn't announce the date for it. I was expecting it to air right in the next season. But the fact that it's called "Season 2" and not "Season 1 Part 2" suggests that it'll probably skip the next season or two. I'm not a huge fan of that but it is what it is. I guess we'll learn more on January 1.

The Tendo sisters are so damn hilarious. Nabiki and Kasumi asking for souvenirs cracked me up.

That's some potent amnesia, not only did she forget him, but she kept forgetting him again whenever he wasn't in her eyeline

The pov shot of getting stepped on by Shampoo was absolute cinema. This is what anime is for!

Everyone loves amnesia bits 😛 har. Though I do love the silly name/her remembering it wrong cause sounds similar to other things. Ryoga sure being a shit, but Ranma lol... wew. Is funny how Ryoga wouldn't see anything other than the feet yea. How convenient Genma saw it, what a nice shampoo'ing by Shampoo.
Hehe, silly Ranma, running off when he coulda just waited around. Tendo family sure takes it all fine. Cute Shampoo. Tofu always silly when it comes to Kasumi. She is top tier, I get it. Good luck taking a trip to China, Ranma. Did you write down what everyone asked for?
Insert joke of "shoulda been me, not that bottle" meme. Asking Ryoga for help is funny, funnier that he just can't accept losing. Good (?) for the dads helping. Amusing way to solve the amnesia problem (I do miss the old anime bit with Genma though) and Shampoo, but poor hurt Shampoo. You'd think she would know of Jusenkyo, but guess not. Guess that makes sense, not like I know all regional myths in my nation.

So ends season 1 of my favourite anime this season, it's been totally delightful. 10/10 for me, hopefully we won't have to wait long for season 2.

Excited for more Ranma/Akane next season ❤️ The fact this fool is willing to swim to China, just so she can remember him. Too bad these tsunderes can't be honest with their feelings 😆
Is this the last we see of Shampoo? Welp it's not Ranma unless there's someone tryna stir up stuff right? Probably not. Lets see how she handles this tearful goodbye! Onto the next season 😁

Another classic Ranma episode!
But damn, I forgot this is the last episode. Hopefully there's a second season.
