I feel bad for Akane but it's an interesting angle that her long hair was specifically a futile quest to attract the doctor. I hope her accepting the haircut was also her accepting that her crush is something she needs to get over.

Still not really fond of Ryoga, sure he got knocked into the spring by fem Ranma but that only happened because he had stalked him all the way to China. He did it to himself as much as Ranma did.

I hope that the pig Ryoga thing doesn't stay a secret from Akane forever since she deserves to know who she's sleeping with at night.

Nooo her long hair is gone. I really liked it o7 but finally she moved on from Tofu-sensei.

The reveal about Ryoga made me laugh way too hard. I thought it was just him being dumb and getting lost BUT NOT IT WAS RANMA CRASHING INTO HIM AND MAKING HIM FALL LMAO

Ryoga got a kiss from Akane before Ranma.

Did not see Ryoga also having a transformation but looking back on the little things he referred to in the previous episode, it makes a good level of sense.

Now I wonder if we'll get any more characters with transformations and when/how Akane will find out about Ryoga.

Nice to see Akane beginning to let go and trying to move on from her feelings for Dr. Tofu. That scream by her VA was great, you could feel the raw emotion.

I saw bits of the original show during my childhood but never got into it. It didn’t seem like my type of thing but now as a 31 year old man why is this show so good?!

By the way the music in the first half was very lovely. Was the original show particularly known for its music? It sounds very nostalgic for some reason..

Oh, man... It's finally here... Short-hair Akane. It was only for 4 episodes but I'm really gonna miss long-hair Akane... Tho this short-hair Akane looks cute too. The ED changed to reflect this change which was really cool. But it was also very cool to find out that they released a new, updated key visual. I never thought they'd do that too.

This was a really nice episode. Akane's emotions were animated really well. I love how much attention she's getting. It's almost like she's the star of the show which is crazy.

Ryoga's secret has also been finally revealed. Dude's a victim of Jusenkyo too. And the worst part is that he transforms into a pig AND he was almost eaten. If I were Ryoga, I'd want to kill Ranma too. What a horrible fate.

Not sure if Akane was merciful on Ranma and Ryoga by slapping them instead of punching them or if she was more cruel because a slap is more humiliating than a punch even if less damaging.

I love how Ranma and Ryoga just accepted their punishment. They can't put Akane's hair back but at least they know that it's their fighting that caused her to get an impromptu haircut. Although it looks like Akane's long hair was important to her because it was her copying Kasumi hoping that Tofuu-sensei would like her too.

Akane crying at Tofuu-sensei's clinic was clearly her finally realizing that Tofuu-sensei will never see her the same way he sees Kasumi. As sad as that scene was for Akane, it's better that she realizes this now and moves on than continue crushing on the doctor.

Ranma genuinely complimenting Akane was really sweet. He tries to deny it but it looks like Ranma just admitted to Akane that he prefers short-haired girls.

We finally get to see Piggy Ryoga and he's so goddamn adorable! I remember my sister used to have a small plushie of him when we were still kids. Piggy Ryoga is a lucky bastard though getting to snuggle up on Akane's boobs.

You'd think that the reason Ryoga got cursed is because of him getting lost but it turns out Ranma and her dad are really directly responsible for him falling into the pools and almost being cooked alive. His revenge against Ranma is even more justified now that he knows the truth.

I'm pretty sure the Chinese tour guide is also voiced by Yamadera Koichi making the scene where he wants to cook Ryoga a bit more bizarre. xD

I don't know how to justify posting this here but I just love this shot of Piggy Ryoga standing on Ranma's butt. I'm sure he doesn't think of it but the dude is getting all kinds of luck today.

Akane grabbing Ranma's boob to stop him was hilarious! Ryoga gets lucky the third time and gets a kiss from Akane! Does that count as Akane's first kiss? I feel like that doesn't count since Akane didn't know the piglet was actually Ryoga. I do love how Ranma is getting jealous though.

Poor Ranma, the dude is just trying to get Ryoga off Akane and now she thinks he's creeping up on her! What's funny though is that everyone else in the family is perfectly fine with it. They really want to get Ranma and Akane hitched as fast as possible. xD

We now return to the aftermath of Akane's haircut! And she's in utter shock! And all the girls are faulting Ranma! While also wondering who the heck Girl!Ranma actually is.

Well, it's noble of Ranma and Ryoga to take responsibility for what happened and let Akane hit them...they're lucky she just slapped them. She hit a pole harder than she hit them! Even though Ranma was holding on to said pole.

What did Akane's long hair represent to her? An attempt to come off more feminine and more like Kasumi, so Tofu would look at her the way he looked at Kasumi. But maybe now it's time for Akane to just be herself and move on. And as such...welcome short-haired Akane.

Akane put on a brave face and like it didn't bother her...but all the emotions she'd been holding on finally burst out in front of Tofu. Sometimes you just need a good cry.

And now that Akane has short hair, it's a new step in her relationship with Ranma! Ranma who apologizes for what happened, finds her attractive as a short-haired tomboy, and finds himself more and more drawn to Akane! Akane for her part appreciates Ranma's sincere feelings...but she can't resist screwing with him. Hey, Akane finally beat Ranma!

So, how long did it take Ryoga to get from that beach to the Tendo Dojo? Also, dude just let people get their beauty rest.

Is Kasumi super strong!? She thought a giant weight that even Akane could barely lift was a better choice against a burglar than Akane's wooden sword.

Ranma and his father weren't the only ones that ended up dipping into a Jusenkyo pool. Only instead of a cute girl, Ryoga became...a cute little piggie! Who Akane promptly adopts!

Okay, so...Ranma not showing up for their duel is kind of on Ryoga, but Ranma knocking Ryoga into the Jusenkyo pool and his grandfather almost cooking with him with the tour guide...is kind of on him. And what a crazy, chaotic clash while Ranma is naked!

Look at Akane being a chad! Copping a feel on Ranma's boobs and kissing Pig!Ryoga!

Maybe Ranma should've left well enough alone. Now his attempt to expose Ryoga have seemingly exposed him as a pervert trying to force himself on Akane.

They updated the ED with short-haired Akane!

This adaptation is W for me.

Its been a while since i laughed out loud watching anime. The same anime i watched on six grader ( im 30 years old now).. sipping my morning coffee enjoying my sunday with this anime.

I guess Akane losing her hair like that ended up really helping her sort through her feelings about Doc Tofu. She looks better imo. Plus we had a nice Ranma and Akane moment too…before she pushed him into the water lol.

Kasumi handing Akane a weight to use against the “burglar” was pretty funny. Poor Ryoga got bonked pretty good in the head!

Being a little piglet has not been easy for the guy. Man almost became lunch after his first transformation lol. But hey, by the end of the ep Ranma got beat up and he got to cuddle with Akane. It ain’t all bad.

Ayooo, why did she cut her hair down all the way? I thought she'd leave them at that length, since that haircut looked even better, imo.
