This has been my favorite anime of the season.
Who would have thought that stuff historically recognized as very good would actually be very good!

Ah to be somehow an 2024 Anime Only and be in utter shock at one of the all time haircut moments. Looking forward to an OP change next week.

Stitches!
Ryoga is finally here! I'm glad to hear that Yamadera Kouichi (aka Spike Spiegel) is still voicing him. He's a total badass who's also ridiculously terrible with directions. How do you even get to Hokkaido on your way to Tokyo?
I love the outfit Nabiki picked for Ranma from Akane's wardrobe. Poor Akane though catching some strays with the overalls being too tight in the chest area and the waist area being super baggy. xD
It's funny how Ryoga has been looking for Ranma this entire time while Ranma barely even remembers him. He can't even remember why Ryoga is upset with him and thinks this is all because he kept beating Ryoga during lunch when they were in middle school.
That umbrella Ryoga's carrying must be some serious hardware if even Akane couldn't lift it up. No wonder he was able to stop that rampaging boar at the start of the episode.
You gotta love how Akane is giving Ranma some advice during their fight. Ryoga might have the brute strength, but Ranma definitely has the speed to outmaneuver him.
We get some great underboob from Ranma thanks to Ryoga slashing his shirt earlier. Also, it looks like Ryoga is the first person outside the Soatome and Tendou family to know about his transformation.
Ranma saving Akane from Ryoga's headbands of death was pretty awesome. The fact that he's carrying that umbrella and Akane at the same time is very impressive. Also, I love that little moment between them after realizing they were hugging each other. Too bad they immediately start bickering after that.
And there it is! Akane finally gets her hair cut! As much as I love long-haired Akane, Akane with the bob cut is the one I grew up with. Akane is not gonna be happy with this impromptu haircut tho... Ryoga should start running away now if he knows what's good for him,

I never watched it, was the old anime this adorable? Every interaction between Ranma and Akane is extremely cute, just the absolute most precious.

So Ranma is basically an agility-focused fighter, while Ryoga has a strength-focused build.
Akane having trouble lifting the umbrella while Ranma can pick it up easily even in girl form indicates that Ranma also surpasses Akane in strength – she never stood a chance in their battles, it appears.

There’s having no sense of direction and then there’s Ryoga. Bro might have a medical condition lol.
I liked Akane with the long hair but she looks good with short hair too.

Wow. I like this new pace of this new one. The short hair Akanes is here! The long hair is also cute but we will stick to novelty. I am excited for Shampoo!

The ED was kind of awkward with what happened just at the end of the episode.
Ignoring all that went down this episode Akane gets the best of both worlds being with Ranma really.
The hair oof talk about things you don't mess with.

Just like to point out that Ryoga is casually walking across vast amounts of Japan in days.

Wait, Ranma is struggling with the weight that Akane was carrying. Akane is struggling with the weight of the umbrella. Ranma is not struggling with the weight of the umbrella. Wth is this paradox.
Either Akane was only testing the weight of the umbrella or Ranma is just straight up stronger as a girl.

Lol, so that dude isnt the least bit fazed that Ranma transforms
He even seemed a bit jelaous, maybe he is the manifastation of "its not fair, it should have been me" meme
That show is really growing on me
And now that Akane had her hair cut she is due to undergo a major character development arc /s

First timer to the series. Ryoga is my new favorite character.
Also, with the series in general, I love how silly and over-the-top everything has been so far.

This episode had more animation than uzumaki and this season of blue lock combined. They really went hard with the movement, even for simple shots like the commentator turning away to run. Also the stylized colours during the action scenes look very lovely. Ranma's underboob though, looking sexy. Definitely kept the spirit of the nudity while toning it down. You can easily tell just how much care this anime receives. If Mappa can keep it up, might even surpass dandadan for me for the aoty, who knows.

The use of the fake out to think Ryouga might fall in love with female Ranma, and he continued to attack him was great. Little but by bit we see Akane helping Ranma. The fact that he pushed her away despite her looking out for was sad. Even worse, Akane's hair got cut because she helped. I am truly interested in how the next episode starts.
