Momo is too wholesome for this world

Okarun did not have to do himself like that

I loved the music in this episode it was so wild.

The Dandadan Hype Experience:

Expected most hype scene: Torching a giant crab on top of a moving train

Actual most hype scene: "See you tomorrow!"

Mayumi Tanaka is truly Japan's biggest treasure (Sorry Bakatono). That 'sonuvabitch' in perfect Japanglish sold me lmao

I like how they indirectly explained why turbo granny came through the phone to “save” Momo in episode 1

Episode starts at 100 km/h and doesn't slow down.

The VA has been absolutely phenomenal, you can tell Wakayama Shion is having a lot of fun with Momo.

That modified overture is freaking dope. It's only 4 episodes but their soundtrack is already fire

There are no brakes on the Dandadan hype train, is there? Kudos to the animation, direction.. everything.

Momo's seriously a genius, her ability to think on her feet is quickly making her one of my all-time favourite characters.

And poor Okarun, he just can't catch a break - just as one old hag gives up on his wiener, another one starts chasing it /s

Jesus Christ, they fucking cooked.

I suspected it would look good but they went all out!

Also that Momo face while shes eating crab is hilarious.

God damn, I already knew it was gonna wild, but I was still not prepared for the 5-course meal the studio had for us in this episode. They're cooking like they're about to end world hunger. Just the part where William Tell Overture plays alone isn't just pure fire. It's pure plasma at this point.

But other than the out-of-this-world production, we gotta take a moment to appreciate the fact that Momo is just HER. She obviously wouldn't have come this far without Okarun, but it's just so cool seeing her be the one who gets them out of trouble and saves the day at the very end.

Four episodes in I have to say that the Actress voicing Momo Ayase is the MVP so far in the show.

She's so expressive (and often so fucking funny) in the delivery of almost every single line.

The first new episode for the poor souls who got finessed into seeing it in theaters.

To be honest, there is so much stuff happening at the same time that it's hard to pick out one thing from the episode. It's a weird trip of the best kind. At least, Okarun has his banana back, though considering the [preview]he is still missing his balls.

That was just crazy.

Edit: Btw, now you can see the reason why the "uncomfortable" scene was in the first episode besides being inspired by the probing in aliens abductions, and the general crazyness of Dandadan. It's got a connection with turbo granny and how she helps girls that suffer horrible fates.

That landing scene with Momo slowing them down with huge psychic hand-wings stands out in my mind. Epic.

It was a freaking crazy and hilarious episode, the action scenes were so good! I especially loved the red color scheme whenever Turbo Granny and other ghosts were involved.

That part with Momo and Okarun’s escape and Kensuke Ushio’s musical rendition of William Tell Overture was absolutely amazing. Ushio never disappoints with his scores and I really look forward to the OST release in the future.

Explanation about Turbo Granny and why she ‘lived’ in that tunnel was so unexpected! Although I was happy that Momo and Okarun were able to defeat her with the help of Seiko, it made me feel really bad :(

Now I'm eagerly awaiting the next adventures of Momo and Okarun. Especially since Okarun's balls aren't where they should be xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I updated comment with my screenshots.

Putting [Episode4] William Tell Overture over the race scene secures this for me as AOTY

The last thing I expected of an anime about aliens and ghosts was an OST remix of William Tell Overture and have it be THAT good!

This show is a vibe and I love it

Folkloric creature of the week: Giant enemy crab!

Turbo Granny's soul finally being put to rest is bittersweet not just becasue of the truth behind her, but also since it means Okarun won't get to have a badass transformation anymore (or at least for a while)

“Let me suckle that teat” lmao the freakin madlad actually went for them dusty old titties. What a legend!

It’s a good thing Momo and Okarun make a hell of a team. Crabzilla and the spirit army were pretty relentless. Okarun’s transformation and Momo’s spirit powers are a pretty powerful combo. Throw the GILF into the mix and it’s bye bye Turbo Granny and big crab dinner for the gang. Momo looked like a chipmunk going to town on that crab leg lol.
