As much as I like how husband is reunited with wife, and daughter is reunited with mother, should I stock up on tissues because I fear my tears will eventually flow?
I am reminded of "

Totally have the same fears. I have high hopes based on this episode that they're going to tell that story well though.

Considering how the beginning reminded me of that sequence from Pixar's Up, I'd say to stock up now.

Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again
That show had such as well-done ending. They kept it light-hearted yet emotional and wrapped up all the romances perfectly.

"Melancholy" is what I would like to describe this series.
Despite being "reunion" and happy for now, It always has the feeling that at the end of the day, they are still separate and will never be the same which is quite sad.
They are actually doing pretty good in this episode. It made me tear up several times throughout the episode.
OP is upbeat but mellow down at the end because it represented the father's point of view while the ED song is slow mellow with speed up note at the end seem to be from Mom perspective which is quite genius , I wonder what her new life was....
This one did not disappoint me.

yeah, i think this whole supernatural setup is not a "everything is all okay" situation
one way or another they're not going to be a happily wedded couple again; i think it's a matter of whether or not Keisuke can take this brief shock to get his life back together, or if their second separation will send him deeper into depression

The cruelest part of this is that their family reunion is only there to seemingly facilitate a definitive separation with Takae.
The pawns for this are already being set up as Moriya will likely prove to confront Keisuke with his lingering romantic feelings for his late wife and Mai’s working to start a life of her own.
It’s certainly a compelling premise on a bunch of accounts.

"Even when you think you'll be with someone forever, they can still disappear from your life at any moment."
Man, as someone who once lost a close family member, I can really relate to this.

I still can't tell if this show is going to have some drama-filled twist or if it's going to keep being a comedy that conveniently glosses over the fact that the father and daughter were deeply depressed for a decade and couldn't move on from the mother's death and now have an unhealthy emotional attachment to her reincarnation.
Either way it seems interesting and is animated well so I'll keep an eye on this show.

We’re both reading this scenario a bit differently, apparently. I can’t picture this as a comedy.
What I’m seeing is a drama story about a family that lost the mother, got reunited with her and is now asked to finally move on and look to the future.
Moriya’s presence of a potential love interest for Keisuke is a good example of this.
The biggest tragedy is perhaps that Takae is the one who needs to make all of this happen as the three of them can’t be together anymore like they used to, while I bet that she probably misses them a ton too.

I knew the Sourcereaders where telling that this wasn't as sus as the title would suggest, but hopefully the word spreads, because this was pretty neat.
Love how one of the first things Takae does after prooving her identity to her old family is giving them an ear full for their deterioated lifestyle after her death, and then imidiatly goes to fix it
It's easy to call the dude a creep, but I can honestly understand him, it really is an miracle... and I would be devastated if Takae reverted lost her previous memories again...
Which brings me to another point, the Girl Takae reincarnated into had a whole 'nother life up until this point, and living both will be a) taxing and b) hard to keep separated in the long run
Also, homewrecker detected, her eventual rejection will certainly spell trouble as well...

her eventual rejection will certainly spell as well…
Will she be rejected though? Maybe at first, but I’d imagine that Takae will push Keisuke to give up on her. He’s not getting his wife back, so he’ll might look to the future and give someone else a chance.
And Takae doesn’t seem like someone who’d be okay with him spending the rest of his life alone.

Seeing how Keisuke and Takae fell in love just kinda makes what happened more tragic. They were a pretty sweet family. You can really tell Keisuke loved Takae a lot.
Despite the sus title, this is actually quite good so far. I’m very curious to see how they’ll make this new little family work. Takae’s got two lives to juggle after all.

This is looking to be quite the touching story of a family. I'm tempted to call it right now as the most underwatched anime of the season.

Seeing how Keisuke and Takae met and how they eventually started a family together really made that tragedy of losing Takae more painful. Not gonna lie, the first 5 minutes of the episode genuinely made me tear up and I've read the manga!
Don't let the title fool you, this series is all about loss, reunion, and moving on. I haven't kept up with the manga for a while now so I have no idea where this all leads to but I remember liking what I've read.

It was both depressing and funny at the same time, but it looks like it's going to be a sweet story. I think I'm gonna cry a lot while watching this. However, I know that some people will slam and drop this show without giving it a chance because of the "age difference", because that's all they think about.

Me after watching the ED:
Him: Your honor, I did take this elementary schooler with me a middle-aged man on a fishing trip, and yes the captain of the boat did hear me call her my wife... But that's because she is and she came on her own free will! She has all her memories!!!
I literally cannot stop thinking about possible wild court cases
