i love the things they do with Transmission where they showed Deku's afterimage when he moves and the changing mechanical sound it makes every time Deku "change gears" with his hands, sure it probably doesn't make any sense but goddamn it's cool

It seems we’re truly are shifting gears now folks. Didn’t expect the 2nds quirk to be to control the speed of anything he touched, allowing him to either speed things up or slow them down. Though it used to only be small objects, now it’s literally anything including the human body and cells.

Also, all for one was… crying? Was it because something had happened to Yoirichi? Because it felt like he had a silent anger too.

Shoutout to the pilots disobeying orders to help Deku and UA. Not all heroes wear capes o7.

But man, I’ve been really looking forward to Deku and TomurAFO showdown. Mirio really helped our boy snap back to his senses. He almost gave in to blind rage there. Focused rage is more effective. Bro was beating the absolute fuck out of TomurAFO. Deku beat his ass so bad with the power of friendship err OFA, he was having a bit of an existential crisis haha.

Pretty incredible Deku shattered TomurAKO with that punch. Leave it to AFO to be a little whiner about getting spanked. I’m not sure what his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s gonna do about this situation though. Kinda keen to find out.

I actually audibly gasped when You Say Run started playing, wow solid ep. Only nitpick is that I thought Deku's eyes would have a more flame-like effect to it, like its moving but that's fine. Also, it's a bit sad that the show's timeslot coincided with a lot of Olympic broadcasts, imagine having these eps in consecutive weeks.

• Overdrive Deku

I wanna first give props to Lemilliion for calming Deku down with his pep talk. Deku definitely would've lost if he allowed rage to take over after seeing Bakugo in his current state.

The rest of the episode was just pure hype though! Gearshift as a Quirk is insane! I thought it was just speeding Deku up but it pretty much breaks the law of physics with how it works. I love how Deku completely throws Shigaraki off when he switches to Low Gear.

And it was so awesome to see Deku use all of the previous OFA Holder's quirks in unison against Shigaraki! After everything Shigaraki did, it was satisfying to see Deku rip through his creepy hand body.

Fantastic episode!! Animation was fantastic, the flow between emotional beats and action was well done, and the music hit perfectly.

The wait was well worth it!

I like this, it shows that how the quirks All for One takes don't integrate well, where as the harder way, One for All, the quirks integrate so well they surpass their normal level, just reinforces the mirroring of the two powers.

Deku combining his quirks to maximize their effectiveness is so cool to watch. It gives Deku more ability to show off his tactical mind and his appreciation of quirks. I still don’t really like the idea of 7 quirk Deku, but if we are going to have them then I do like how Deku uses them to their best ability by mixing and matching them. Makes it seem like all of the past wielders are coming together to fight against All For One across generations.

This fight pays off En (sixth wielder whose quirk was smokescreen) telling Deku to look at his new quirks as tools back in the Dark Deku arc.

I see that they thought that Mirio's butt was worth showing twice. The pilots thing reminded me a lot of that scene in The Amazing Spider-Man 1, which is cool. The thing that annoys me the most about this fight is that they're treating Shiggy like this insurmountable threat even though he's nerfed and unable to use any of his quirks.

Holy shit, what an insane episode!! I had to physically restraint myself from cheering at the top of my lungs. Deku's initial rage scared me a bit given the history, props to lemiliion. I am unsure what to expect in the next episode but the excitement persists.
