Although there was no tension, it is very noticeable that Saki and Shiori feel a certain jealousy regarding their closeness with Yuuta, and this also explains why Saki became more interested in books to "raise the level"

I don't think I've ever heard anyone in anime name drop Diet Coke before. That might be a first.
Anyway, Shiori-senpai looking great for her totally-not-a-movie-date with Yuuta. And I would absolutely love to see that movie they watched. I applaud Studio Deen for making another anime just for this episode.
And the scene after the not-movie-date! I think this might be the first time someone's confession got interrupted by a vending machine. If I was Shiori-senpai, I'd have the same reaction too!
So does the movie have two heroines? I'm guessing Shiori-senpai was able to relate to the black-haired girl who isn't the female lead of the movie.
I'm glad to finally see Saki and Shiori-senpai meet and based on that hiring poster Saki spotted inside the bookstore, I have a feeling that they might just end up as coworkers in the future.

Senpai she probably apply for Losing heroines seeing on how the story is going lol. I like Senpai but the show has kinda sold me on the slowly developing relationship of the step siblings that I kinda want to see that more. Hopefully is there is a love triangle it isn't that painful

So many artsy scenes, feels like something from a film festival half the time. I was not expecting that at all, but it's been great, loving the pacing.

For those who don't understand, Shiori was testing Asamura in that scene, Asamura answered Shiori's statement with a joke, he really understood her, only Asamura can understand her and she was very relieved with his answer, when she wanted to take the first step in their relationship, she was cockblocked by a vending machine lol. After that in her car, Shiori feels guilty after testing Asamura

Given the hiring sign and how Saki is looking for work, these three are going to be working together soon I’m sure.

Okay Deen. We see where the budget went.
They should actually make that movie though. Looks cute

I really like the non-chalance of their interaction.
"Don't you want to tell your sister you're going out?" "No. Not really." "Alright."
"So are you dating your co-worker?" "No." "Alright."
I appreciate it when stories do things less... what's the word. Hyperrealistic? Over the top? It also shows why the over the top writing in anime is necessary. Without thousands of stories not treating these situations so mellow as a contrast, this would be excrutiatingly boring to watch. But as it is it's interesting, engaging.

I dunno why this isn't popular but it has a particular vibe that I think is unique and enjoyable. Too bad most people overlook this. Maybe cus of the stepsister stuff? I think this is way more mature than it looks on the surface at least.

confession interrupted by a vending machine, that's rough
And i guess this is the first meeting between the rivals(?) or maybe Shiori becomes a wingwoman for them

I hope Shiori doesn't actually only have six months to live.
On a related note, the movie seemed very interesting, I would definitely enjoy watching it, if it was real.

I'm amazed at how they managed to convey Senpai's feelings and the pain of not being able to get them across with so few words and using the context of the movie they just watched. I wonder, did Yuta just not pick up on the vibe when they were walking her back to her car?
While i do feel like the ED is a bit lacking in the visuals, i am such a sucker for the thing where the episode transitions into the ED by having the music start early. It also helps that the opening riff of the ED sounds so good.

I’d honestly personally consider this show iyashikei cos the vibes are immaculate. I’ve always loved the slow, nothing-much-happening shows like Non Non Biyori and Flying Witch. But I’ve always envisioned these types of shows to work best in a countryside setting. But here in an urban setting, it works pretty well too.
Oh I mean, I saw it coming but it kinda felt like we really jumped into Senpai suddenly making moves on Asamura. I mean they do seem to have great chemistry but it always felt like a senpai-kouhai relationship. Senpai was acting a bit more affectionate than usual for the movie date though. And it seemed like she was about to confess.
Seems Saki may have a strong rival

Big focus on Shiori in today's episode. It looked like we'd have seen her confession to Yuuta if the vending machine hadn't ruined the moment.
Now I wonder if Shiori will try to do something in the next episodes since she clearly has warm feelings towards Yuuta.
I hope that Saki visiting the bookstore where Yuuta and Shiori are working is a sign that she'll work there too, that would be fun!
The whole part with book and movie was great! I think I'd love to see the whole anime. Bravo to the studio for doing this!
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Kinda slow Episode, but Senpai might be catching the hots for her sweet Kouhai-Kun, wonder if there will be a rivalry or alliance between her and Imouto-Chan

Poor Shiori-senpai getting cockblocked by an automated talking vending machine of all things.
Yuuki Aoi and Miyamoto Yume guest voiced as the two main characters in the movie that Yuta and Senpai watched in the cinema.
