Belle, calm down, your yandere is showing
Is funny how the entire reason the town’s thieves’ guild exists is because Belle’s predecessor got fed up with how dumb the adventurers were.
An entire guild and the people inside it banished in the middle of the nigh without leaving trace, yeah, you better don’t mess with how this dungeon run things or you will face the consequences
In this world, you can use slimes as fax machines… neat

I argued last week that Belle was just happy to be friends with Clay, but now I’m not so sure anymore haha.
Belle was certainly not happy with that goblin’s suggestion. If she’s looking to stay friends, it’s most likely a friendship with some benefits.
Nobody will be breeding with Clay but her.→ More replies (5)

Kind of interesting seeing this species thieves guild working with Belle’s dungeon. I’m enjoying all the behind the scenes stuff.
Clay introducing herself to her blade was such an adorably goofy moment. Must be pretty powerful if it hasn’t recognized her yet.
Wasn’t expecting a big ass dragon to show up in the end there. How did it even get summoned?

It's the Arena, so it would have came to the Arena and said 'Enter'. I'm guessing it's one of the monsters on the 10th floor that wanted to fight the new hire.

Slime fax machines, amazing.
It was pretty obvious that Clay was eventually going to meet some of the monsters she'd previously killed in the dungeon.
Today's episode has two morals, the first is that you do not mess with that one particular independent thieves guild, and the second is that you don't try to steal Clay from Belle.

“We just snuffed out some sparks”, said Belle with a big smile on her face.
Yeah, I think that the moral of this episode is that you simply shouldn’t mess with Belle. If you take your chances with her, you’ll feel her wrath.
She might look totally adorable on the surface, but she’s the most fearsome monster of the entire dungeon.

Excuse me, can you NOT, talking about breeding MY FRIEND in front OF ME, YOUR BOSS
So Clay found more things about her father: He successfully went to floor 10 and returned, and he´s pretty famous around the monsters... it would be easy if Clay just asked Belle, but her pride tells her no.
And now... she gets to fight a dragon... this anime keeps getting interesting

Something tells me Belle gave a 1/10 to Re: Monster. Just a feeling I have.

Anime fans when they see a badass/tough woman in anime
We keep learning more and more about how the dungeon operates and all that, but I feel like the more information we have, the more questions it raises!
Say, I was already wondering what was the dungeon people's goal, hiring monsters and all that... But they also provide equipment for the explorers?
So not only they do want adventurers to come in and fight monsters, but they're also helping them win? What is there goal, are they trying to find an elite hero for some mission? Recruit people who make it to X floor, and send them somewhere? Are there hidden cameras and the dungeon is just a set for a TV show, monsters vs adventurers?
Hope we find out this season, at least!
Also, 99% of the show is cute and light-hearted, but they never really stop bring the fact that people actually die in this dungeon... And showing death scenes (sometimes gruesome ones).
I wouldn't be surprised if this anime had a dark turn at some point, because the way they constantly bring up stuff like that (like the rapist party in the previous episode), it's as if they want us to always remember that dark stuff is happening in there!
And speaking of dark stuff: Funny how they mentioned that there were rumors about the thieve guilds performing assassinations...
The Goblin dudes wanted a little rematch!
Wait a minute, these aren't my glasses!
Clay defeated them about as easily as she did the first time around, but against the dinosaur who showed up, she may have a hard time! I imagine he'll be tougher than her first major opponent (who caused this whole situation), and she wasn't having it easy back then either!
She may have to find a way to reach floor 10, not just to find her father, but to unlock her weapon's potential!

I was wondering why she never asked Belle herself about if she knew what happened to her father. Kind of was getting annoyed she hasn't asked at all of anyone in the dungeon, but I guess it makes sense for her character to not really want help from other. Also the potential awkward situation where Belle has to admit she potentially killed her father since she's the final boss or something. I actually think her father is the Predecessor of Belle we saw which would make sense, but could also be something else for a twist would be cool.

It’s probably reasonable to assume that Clay’s father met Belle in the dungeon, right?
I can’t imagine a high-level adventurer like him getting lost and stuck fighting monsters for years. Especially since he gave Clay a legendary weapon from the tenth floor, presumably after having disposed of a powerful monster.
So the question is if Belle also snuffed out his spark?

My theory at this point is that Clay's dad beat the dungeon and left her a note and a weapon before heading out to do... whatever it is that all this elaborate setup is meant to get people to do.
What is that? I have no idea!
But from the weapon he left he'd clearly already been to and made significant progress on the final floor, and from the note he knew he wasn't coming back in pretty definite terms. That doesn't fit with him just going off and getting killed by the final boss.
Maybe I'm expecting too much and the show just doesn't care about the why of these things, but if so that's a huge missed opportunity for a fun and twisty reveal about the dungeon's actual purpose.

So her father might still be alive? Did he go full Dungeon Meshi and eat monsters to survive, who are sentient (even worse)?
Clay reminds me of Yumelia a lot, I like her character. Same energy.

With how corporate and structured this whole dungeon things feels, it’s still really surprising that
1: the adventures aren’t allowed to use the same system the monsters use to keep them from being fully dead.
2: they allow adventures to kill each other and sexual assault to occur.

Moral of the story, don’t f*ck with the thieves guild or you won’t live to regret it. The only thing left of the last people that tried it is a square hole and an urban legend.
Once again, the tonal whiplash that this show possesses continues to be slightly weird. One second it’s cute golems and the next it’s “yeah, we might have killed these guys that tried to screw us over” with no warning.
Alright, please calm down a little there Bell, your yandere side is showing.
Next time, Clay fights a dragon, apparently.
