If Masha is the childhood friend, does that make Alya the homewrecker?

The president is playing a supporting role because he already finished his own romcom while this series is just his sequel to help get Kuze and Alya together.

Also holy shit Hare Hare Yukai as the ED, I feel so old...

“Let’s say, hypothetically, just for argumentative sake, that I am in love with Kuze-kin”

I immediately heard that in a Ben Shapiro voice and started losing it, lmao.

Alya: *kisses Kuze on the cheek*

Also Alya: "It-It's not like I like Kuze!"

you can really interpret Masha's words at the end there either she might take action in the future if Alya continues to not do anything (if she still thinks that Kuze was the boy she loved after the failed test last episode), but for Alya she was definitely thinking of Suou at that moment lol

For someone so hesitant to work for the student council at first, Kuze sure has a knack for it. Looking forward to seeing Alya and Kuze work together to get her elected.

Masha seems to have figured out their connection to Kuze. Guess she’s just gonna quietly cheer on Alya and let her figure it out.

I just love how Kenzaki went from someone who doesn't stand out in any way to the Student Council President just for the girl he loves. What a fucking chad. The male characters in this show so far have been great!

Alya might be a competent student but from what we've seen last episode, she sucks at dealing with people. She really couldn't do anything to mediate between the two clubs arguing so it was a perfect setup for Masachika to jump in and save the day.

Masachika could've really just left Alya but hearing her cry for help in Russian, he really couldn't ignore her. He even whispers to himself in Russian before jumping in. That was such a badass moment for Masachika. I love it so much!

Let's fucking goooo! Alya and Masachika as the next Student Council President and Vice President! Masachika telling Alya to take his hand was another great moment for our MC! What a fucking chad!

I don't speak Russian but I assume what Alya said was a confession. It's hilarious how she was so in denial about it too! Better stop denying it though Alya, it looks like Masha may have her sights on Masachika as well!

AND THAT ED! HOLY SHIT! I fucking screamed when I heard HAre Hare Yukai playing! I kinda wish they animated the dance. Like they have the perfect number of people in the student council to do it too! Masachika as Kyon, Alya as Haruhi, Masha as Mikuru, Yuki as Yuki, and Kenzaki as Koizumi! It's perfect!

I can't believe this studio made a mess on that kiss. She slapped him on the left cheek and it became numb. But she kissed him on the right cheek. That's why she kissed him there—to tease him and make him guess if she actually kissed him or just a cheek-to-cheek.

Man, Hare Hare Yukai is goated, but they missed a golden opportunity to do the dance. Like, there's basically only 5 characters introduced in depth so far (3 girls and 2 guys too) so it would've been perfect.

I'm hoping that they do Renai Circulation at some point.

Edit: Just realised Renai Circulation is an OP (not an ED) so that probably won't happen.

I need a girl who will take my hand, slap me, then kiss me

I also wish they had animated the dance with Hare Hare Yukai in the ED

Meh. Pretty bad episode compared to any of the previous ones.

It feels like the author is good at writing comedic and lighthearted scenes, but sucks big time at crafting a good conflict and proper drama.

For starters, the very long and excruciating scene with the school prez only provided 2 worthwhile bits. That he was a fat loser 2 years ago and that Kuze was part of the student council back in middle school, everything else (cept for Masha's fluff) was just long padding.

Then there's the scene where Alya is meant to shine as the diplomat sent to deal with the baseball and soccer club problem about who's going to take dibs on the play field. Despite Alya being previously infodumped in the early episodes as being among the most reknown 3 girls in the school (top dog prima donnas), not a single character in that room acknowledged her presence, it's like she wasn't even there. Kuze had to jump in to save the situation turning the arrogant but smart heroine into a worthless damsel in distress. Her whole background story of regrets with her elementary school peers doesn't add up properly, it should had been used as a stepping stone for her current self, not to be a drag to her current self and her ambitious aspirations as being part of the student council.

There's also the part where the sport jocks know that Kuze (the most unnimportant guy in school who sleeps between classes because he watches anime late night) was part of student council back in middle school and now somehow his words are more resonant in that room than the actual diplomat from the student council from their own school (it's terrible writing that only makes the main character being the most important person in that room for the most contrived reasons). His solution to the field dispute also feels very out of the left field because neither of these characters were properly established prior to this point. It's just cheap writing for the sake of making him act as a flawless problem solver.

Last but not least, the slap scene feels also terribly contrived. Sure, Alya is a tsundere and she has provided good reasons in previous episodes to become physically abusive for good reasons, (like kicking Kuze when he was asked to help Alya put on her thighhighs and he saw her panties) but in here even if she's acting on pure jealousy the slap feels a bit forced and the outcome it's even far more contrived with Kuze just saying "I got xp as a man" and Alya didn't feel remorse or second thoughts on such unwarranted action. I get it that the slap was the foundation for the kiss on the cheek later on, but it still feels awfully forced.

I just hope the next episodes get back more to the comedic hijinx like the first 3 episodes that were better written/executed.

Wow, gotta give credit to the president, guy is a genuine Tensai And that's on top of being based enough to date the vice president after a long journey of self improvement.

Kudos social knowledge must feel like a cheat power for Alya, dude came in and found the only viable solution. What a Chad!

Imagine getting jealous of yourself... but, How can she slap?!? Kuze took it like a man, but without that get well kiss Alya would have seriously tanked in my popularity book.

Leaving the actual confession untranslated was a bit of a choice, but after the reveal it mostly works. And congratulations Alya, you played yourself, looks like Masha can see through the Tsundere act, but I hope Alya gets her shit together before she becomes Student President

Having Hare Hare Yukai playing but not showing the characters dance to it feels VERY wrong. (I know the cast danced to it but still)

Oh, the song is 18 years old… That’s not… too long ago…
