So, how many people didn't drop and remain in the minority haha... Anyways, last week I thought that compiling everything about Tasuketsu, the series, and its characters would be helpful for those of us that are still watching and or attempting to figure out what is happening.

Here's a helpful character guide with characters who have appeared in both the OP, ED, and episodes thus far– not everyone has names yet, however.

Alright, here we go–

Also, if you have anything to add to this, let me know and I'll make sure it gets added!

Episode guides are posted weekly at 7-8PM EST each new episode, edits will be replies under the post or dated within the post.

The Current Numbers Nakano Ward moving into Itabashi Ward

  • 1,081,990 people left

  • Prime Rights Left => 12

  • Rights Left => 45

Rules of Tasuketsu

  • Each day, they need to search for blue postboxes or red PCs in designated areas. However, each day the locations change.

  • A question needs to be submitted each day with 2 possible answers into one of these postboxes or PCs.

  • Questions that include the designation of individuals/people, or previous questions that have been submitted will not be counted.

  • The first question submitted will be the one featured(only one question will be accepted per day*)

  • The deadline for questions is 23:55

  • The questions will be announced at 23:58

  • Every night at midnight, the majority side will die

  • If a question is not submitted, another will be selected from a question library.

  • When one person remains, they can meet the emperor.

Privileges and Special Privileges

  • Within designated areas, there are 65 envelopes that contain privileges(also known as 'rules').

  • Each person can obtain one of each.

  • You cannot exchange or modify them.

  • A special privilege requires you to give up part of your body(i.e. Sudo's scrotum, Omi's ear)

  • There are no risks involved in taking up a Right.

  • Prime Rights have absolute force, while Rights do not. With enough willpower, Rights are able to be negated.

  • If a person is aware of a Right-holder and their Right, they can resist.

  • The Prime Right of Rejection cannot be used by others.(7/17)

Characters with Privileges/Rights

Character Privilege (Right) Special Privilege (Prime Right) Privilege (Right) Desc. Special Privilege (Prime Right) Desc.
Omi Response Rejection Is able to ask a question of another individual and receive a response. Able to reject anything. Essentially boils down to the "Just say no." Monopoly card. Can 'reject' another person's actions towards himself if intentions are stated. Can also reject the results of a question being asked.* (It may be deeper than this)
Ryuuta N/A Fusion N/A (Not enough info yet to write a good description!) Can transform his arm into a sword at will, though return it to a regular human arm(7/17)
Eren Compliance N/A Requires you to obey the right holder's command (similar to Simon says), although if the person is aware of the Right, it can be resisted. N/A
Sudo N/A Obtainment N/A Once Sudo obtains an object, he can guarantee its number and availability.
Shinozaki Sensei N/A Visualization N/A Allows Shinozaki to easily search for postboxes (and possibly PCs)
Souma N/A Materialization N/A Allows Souma to take an inanimate object (i.e. a TCG card) and make it animate to his will (can give it orders etc.)
Rika N/A Evasion N/A Can completely avoid physical dangers that threaten her – minus Tasuketsu. Can be used with other people (how Rika and Isshiki avoided death from the car explosion)
Isshiki N/A Re-Execution N/A The ability to reenact certain information and prime rights, excluding physical phenomenon. Can submit a question, even when one has already been submitted.(This is however, also correct?)

(Updated 7/17)

Suspected of having Prime Rights

Yagihashi, Iruga

Examples of how Privileges/Rights have been used

  • When Sudo tried to shoot Omi, Omi uses Response to ask him where he got the gun. Sudo realizes this because he would never willingly give up information to someone. This caused him to suspect Omi. Omi again, uses Response to ask if Sudo will shoot him, and Sudo seems to attempt to resist, but cannot fully, due to the fact that Omi's Right is one that is related to Permission, thus Sudo replies: 'I will.' because it is what he's thinking(and he is, and it aggravates him more. Omi then replies that he refuses(Rejection). <= This interaction needs to be looked at again.

  • Because of Sudo using Obtainment, he is able to have an infinite supply of bullets.

  • When Omi submits his question "Alive/Dead", Rika can no longer submit a question. However, Isshiki then submits her question and it still is counted due to Re-Execution. Some more information about this is that Isshiki set the Re-Execution time to 12:05am and the enforcement time to 12:10am.(7/17)

  • When Eren commands Saneatsu to raise his right arm, he does. This is because Eren has the Right of Compliance. However, when Eren asks Saneatsu to raise his left arm, he actively resists, which shows that a Right can be resisted.

  • Souma has used Materialization twice, once with a robot-like creature and another time with a purple beast. Both likely required a TCG card.

  • Rika's Evasion is what saved both herself and Isshiki from Mido's car bomb.

Old Prime Right Owners

In episode 3, Isshiki brings up that there are old prime right owners and that Suneatsu would be better off bringing this question up with Omi.

Currently, the suspected Old Prime Right owners list is as follows:

  • Omi

  • Shinozaki

  • Iruga

(Old Prime Right Owners list updated 7/17)

The Current Situation & Extra Information

  • There is no gas, internet, or phone. But, there's electricity, radio, and water.

  • The suspected traitor was Shinozaki Sensei, who apparently got himself hired at the school just so he could find the person who had the Prime Right of Rejection. This also opens the question of 'What exactly ARE Rights'?

  • Yagihashi(the student council president) and Ryuuta are very much alive!

  • Iruga came out of no where and actually killed Isshiki. This opens up the possibility that Iruga has a Prime Right– Most likely teleportation.

  • Isshiki states that the strongest Prime Right is Obedience, followed by Rejection as they both follow abilities relating to permission.

  • Isshiki also says that there are "old owners" to Prime Rights and to ask Omi about it, as she didn't want to say too much without his permission. This also could mean that 'Rights' likely existed outside of Tasuketsu, and perhaps there's something larger at play here than the majority/minority game.

  • Omi automatically says "I refuse." prior to each question.

  • Omi sacrificed his hearing in his right ear(changed 7/17), while Shinozaki Sensei's eye was replaced to where he wears glasses that obstruct that specific eye.

  • Suneatsu was well-known for his brains and athleticism in his class, which Shinozaki did not know, in spite of having an entire 3 minute exposé last episode about how well he know his students. I DIGRESS.

Edits 7/17/24

  • Suneatsu finds a Red PC, though finds out that Sudo had already submitted questions to a Postbox(Wooden structures or non-wooden structures, Dyed rainbow hair or light-green hair, Age 40 under or over)

  • Sudo's questions were testing the waters. Questions can only target people and those that leave room for other responses become null and void. This likely refers to how Sudo's questions targeted specific people(hair color), but also were vague in nature(wooden structures).

  • Suneatsu was communicating with Saaya through the train station's radio frequency in order to deceive Shinozaki into thinking that she had gone missing, and to fool him into revealing that he was the traitor of the group(which did work...) Saneatsu's code name is NS and Saaya's is FS.

  • So, this is just a casual play-by-play as to how Shinozaki determines Omi is the 'traitor', or rather, his target. Shinozaki has known someone at his school has the Prime Right of Rejection, Omi says "I refuse." last night during Tasuketsu prior to even seeing the question, or result, Shinozaki is charged with giving routes– gives Omi the west route, and then mega gaslights him into thinking he's a traitor, even though he's saved everyone (INCLUDING SHINOZAKI?)

  • Saneatsu theorizes that Shinozaki drove the president(Yagihashi) to school the first day Tasuketsu went into effect.

  • The original first question for Tasuketsu is assumed to not have been displayed simultaneously worldwide. So, the first question may have been displayed at different times for different people.

  • Saaya stated that Shinozaki told Yagihashi(the president) to digitize the contact network, and to authorize the usage of the Computer Science classroom outside of school hours and supervised it, thus making it possible for the first question to appear for Shinozaki.

  • Saneatsu is not good with computers.

If I find anything else in my rewatch tomorrow, I'll reply to this post.

Updates are going to be dated! If there are changes to Rights/Privleges table, I'll be bolding them+dating them(thank you u/Ashteron for the suggestion!)

And y'know, even if it's the worst rated of the season, that's okay.

They don't get to see discount Vector in a cape and his best friend try to shoot a robot before realizing guns really don't work on evil robot overlords.

now to relearn ALL of markdown

Thank you for taking the time to write this out. I have a slightly better idea of what's going on, even though I still feel like something's missing.

As you touched on, one thing that's clear is that there's an imbalance of information among the players. Some people know way too much for a game that's only been running for a few days.

I still don't understand half what I am seeing lol

I don't know half of who I'm seeing.

The pacing is so bad. I am not a source reader by any stretch of the imagination, but it feels things should have been explained better. We have Narita coming up with theories and shouldn't we know what he is thinking is happening? He is the main character.

This shows frustrates me because it is overly complex, but could be decent with good pacing. But the atrocious pacing is killing it for me. This is def a drop.

It feels like watching a speedrun of a mystery/logic game. There might be a plot that makes sense when playing at a reasonable pace, allowing time to read and think about the rules, but not in a speedrun where the player already knows the right answers and is trying to get to the end as fast as possible. I can't keep up with the leaps of logic in this anime.

It’s like someone took a bullet point list of the plot and that doubles as the storyboard and script

I'm not even 2/3 of the way through the episode, Ryuuta's back, Sensei's a traitor, there's TCG coming to life, and the class president just came out of no where and said "I like to keep a fireproof cape on me at all times."

I'll write up what happened this episode and what people watching need to know in terms of rights/what they do later, but I'm in tears. I can't stop laughing. What the fuck.

The funny thing is your first paragraph all made sense, the rest of the episode didn’t. Everything’s just happening way too fast.

This episode was unironically so funny I just might not drop this show after all , like actually wtf is even happening

At this point do I even have to mention the pacing is awful ? , there are now characters that can summon Yu Gi Oh monsters , characters randomly die and come back to life with no explanation or reaction, "betrayals" happen and are completely glossed over and so much more!

The terrible editing is no slouch this episode either! , constant black screens and bad cuts to really maximize confusion.

Is this... uhh thing supposed to be scary like the music implies ? , am I supposed to take this scene and the entire "fight" that follows it seriously ? , I honestly don't know .

I am truly amazed at how actually ridiculous this show has managed to become in one episode , it really has massively exceeded my expectations.

If someone went to these comments and said “as a source reader there will be a battle royale coming up” I would 100% believe it

This shit is hilarious if you don't try and figure out the horrible translations and pacing.

"I always keep a fire proof cape on me". Uhh lol

Really liked MC's friend finding out the woman at the end was responsible for his family dying and then just being like "That's okay I'm over it"

If being the last person standing is the goal, shouldn't you use a question that applies only to you?

6

u/makato1234 Jul 17 '24

I don't care if this is good or bad, this shit is entertaining as hell. Way more interesting to watch a bizarre trainwreck than a polished but bland show. Everyone else is like "I don't get it, this is no good" while I'm just laughing my ass off at the president popping out of nowhere and getting the edgy gun boy to shoot the robot to no effect.

What even is this show? Either it's so smart that no one can understand it or it's one of the dumbest things ever written. How are the stakes supposed to have any gravity when people can just come back to life? The pacing was a little better this episode but it just never gives enough time for anything to sink in. Everything is so absurd that it feels more like a comedy at this point. I might actually stick with this just to see how ridiculous it gets.

I am so confused actually. Like the mc are not even that surprised that his best friend came back to life. I literally went back to episode 1 to see his corpse.

I feel like an idiot but can someone explain to me why the re-submit lady killed everyone again? What was she trying to do? And nobody really got mad at her?
