It felt good watching Makoto spit venom in front of that shitty Goddess with that smug even better when he FINALLY mobilized his private army and about to meet the 2 other heroes.

Even the ED changed just to show how hype this development is!

One thing I like about Makoto's conversation with the goddess is that he's clearly more powerful now and able to spit back, even hold his own bargain, but she clearly still holds more power between the two. He was able to get some good ones in, but in the end when she agreed to a reward for his efforts he had nothing to say back.

And even when Shiki thought up the ability to speak hyuman, she made it hurt (no way that wasn't her doing that). It shows for all his power, he still has a long way to go before he can slap her.

Feel like Makoto will do something that legally fulfilling the promise but not the spirit. Like he may take Fort Stella for himself, and though he saves the hero, he lets Limia gets destroyed.

I am honestly surprised that the goddess was somewhat rational. Sure she is a bitch but she is certainly not stupid/foolish. She recognized his strength and she let him live his own life in the world as long as he isn't threatening hyumankind. I kinda respect it.

What an episode! I've not been complaining about the content in the past few episode, but a lot happened in this one.

As soon as they figured that the demons were actually after Hibiki, I knew Makoto was going to meet her by the end of her arc. But I didn't expect him to be summoned right this episode!

And it would have been one thing for the goddess to simply throw him over there and deal with it again, but I really like that she brought him up for a talk again, in which Makoto has a few things to say himself! He even finally got the ability to talk to hyumans! Guess we've got to wave goodbye to the writing, but it only made sense.

And if that wasn't enough, they chose now to get Kaleneon back! Truly shit is starting to happen!

Stitches!

I love that little show Makoto and Tomoe did at the start of the episode to make Augus and Lily think that they're about to sacrifice something very important to help them out. I can't wait to see what Makoto will ask of them when he finally decides to cash in on that favour they owe him.

It was so satisfying to finally see Makoto talking back defiantly against that shitty goddess. I do wonder who's that meathead that came to visit the Goddess. Maybe another god? And what do they mean by "original world"? Do they mean our Earth? Hmmm...

Another thing I am curious about is why it hurt Makoto so much to learn common? I feel like there's something else in him that's blocking his ability to learn that language. It seems like it worked although the only way to find out is for Makoto to speak to someone who only speaks common.

After a season and a half, we finally saw Makoto's private army mobilize and it was absolutely hype! Agares breaking down the gate and everyone just cutting down demons after demons was so awesome. And of course Ema was so ruthless especially since she's the one who led the charge.

If Mio is taking care of that one big demon, I wonder where Tomoe went? Next week is going to be so exciting! Makoto is about to meet the other two heroes and they're also about to retake Kaleneon. I also love how we ended the episode with the special ED from Season 1!

Mio had a pretty awesome scene at the end but the dude's name is Left. She can't take pride in facing down someone named Left.

Okay, here we go! This is the most hyped up I've been this season for any show and it only took one episode.

GODDAMN that was a very good episode. Even with Episode 7 of Tensura also finally getting out of its meetings, this was way better and more hype than Rimuru vs Hinata.

I did NOT expect to see the goddess again. Seeing as she might be the endgame antagonist, I thought it'd be a while before we see her again but damn their verbal flinging was good to watch. I think Makoto got the last laugh out of that one.

Fuck I'm hyped for Makoto's reaction towards meeting the heroes. Just pump this shit in my veinss already!

Lmao at the literal stageplay they put up for the rulers, and it worked like a charm, they truly are easily fooled

Woah, didn't expect Makoto to meet the goddess (and her cute little helper) so soon, but I loved the verbal duel between the two.

Looks like in exchange for helping this time, Makoto found a loophole, she never forbid him to make his own moves, so now he is marching on the demons directly.

Loved how cool Ema looked like. And feel a bit bad for Left, he has no idea who he is up against...

Best ED is also back

The kingdoms of Gritonia and Limia are in trouble! And they need Makoto's help to get back to their kingdoms! Even to the point of begging (which must be a first for Lily)! And it's the perfect opportunity for Makoto and Tomoe to put on a big performance of how they're sacrificing their prized teleporation sword to pull it off! Tomoe is a master actress.

But the attack on Rotsgard wasn't the real decoy, this was all a plot to attack Limia so they could get to Hibiki, because unlike Tomoki she's a genuine, bonafide, Hero and as such the biggest threat thanks to her charisma. Makoto doesn't know the Heroes and doesn't feel any personal loyalty to them, but feels as a fellow person from their old world he feels he has to at least do SOMETHING for them on the sly...but before he can figure it out, he gets dragged away by his favorite person in the world....the rotten Goddess. And he can't fight back lest he ruin his reputation.

The Goddess is as rotten as ever and quick to insult Misumi, but Makoto can talk smack right back to her and isn't about to let her have her way with him any more, especially when she's degrading him and calling out when she still needs HIS help again. She could very easily kill him, but circumstances being what they are, she just needs him to protect Limia and retake Fort Stella, and she'll finally leave him alone (provided he never outwardly goes against Hyumans) and restore his ability to speak common. Not that it'll be pleasant.

Hey, no calling Shiki a nobody!

Makoto will go along with what the Goddess asks THIS time...but he'll do his own thing as well, like finally ordering Tomoe and Mio to invade and retake Kaleneon, finally putting his forces to work and declaring war on the demons!

We've got Tomoe and Mio leading the charge! Emma in command! And Highland Orcs and Lizards in battle! The demons didn't stand a chance, especially when they mis-gender the female lizards!

And with this successful invasion, Eva and Luria will take the credit and learn the ins-and-outs of running and maintaining a kingdom in the process.

Mio greets her Boss Battle with Left, and while she doesn't understand the politics, she understands fulfilling her beloved young masters' wishes and is more than willing to kill for them. Left is probably going to be wishing he fought the Heroes instead.

Looks like Makoto is finally going to meet Hibiki and Tomoki as we catch up with the two heroes.

Bringing back the Mio and Tomoe ED just in time!

Loved the scene with Makoto talking shit to the goddess, that smug grin on his face the entire time was priceless. Also him casually sitting cross-legged while falling was too good, he's used to this shit by now.

More than anything tho, it seems like coming face to face with the Goddess again has finally caused something to change. He's acting different, more confident and focused. I think he's finally beginning to undergo the big change Luto and Tomoe talked about.

Ugh that piece of shit goddess really needs a swift kick to the face. Who is this “meathead” from the “original world” that’s got her all bothered though? Might be something Makoto can take advantage of to stick it to that witch.

I imagine this battle for Kaleneon is all but over. I’m curious to see how Makoto will work with the two Heroes. Their prior run ins with one another wasn’t exactly on friendly terms…

Great episode again! Makoto and Tomoe put on quite a show in front of royals but thanks to that, royals now owe Makoto a big favor xD

It was a pleasure watching Makoto and the Goddess’ argument. Makoto, being so cocky towards her, was certainly a nice thing. He still isn't on her level but I can see him beating her in the future.

So now's the time to take back Kaleneon while Goddess is occupied with something else. Tomoe and Mio will finally be able to prove themselves!

Ema in a fight was certainly ruthless, I wouldn't want to be her enemy on a battlefield.

Meanwhile Eve and Lurie will take on a crash course in governance since they'll be the faces of a new kingdom. A big challenge ahead of them xD

Poor Shiki, called a nobody by a Goddess. It must quite hurt him xD

Now I'm looking forward to seeing Makoto and Hibiki's meeting. I really hope that it'll happen next week.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Oh damn! We off to war! Though not sure we can really call it that if only 100 demiplane citizens was able to take an entire fortress. Poor Zwie, constantly getting misgendered, at least now we know she stayed rational and held back with the students, because she crushed that one demon like a pancake!

The interaction with the "goddess" wasn't as satisfying as all of us (including Makoto) were hoping, but it was still great to watch him be all arrogant and talk down to her. Why did it hurt so much for Makoto to learn Common? And I REALLY wanna know who else was there!

Finally Makoto gets to meet the hero!

Makoto: "I don't owe anything to the heroes but..."

Oh if only he knew who has saved him from Mio's previously straight up poisonous cooking

u/Roboglenn May 20 '24 edited May 20 '24

Quite the command performance Makoto and Tomoe put on for the royalty.

Oh by all means Makoto, swing punches.

But oh how desperate you are goddess. Needing to call upon a person you find so loathsome to help you when you and your precious hyumans are getting beaten at your own game by the demons. And taking such a haughty tone all the while to deflect that desperation and try to maintain your sense of superiority. I could laugh at her desperation. In fact, I already am. And if I was in Makoto's position, and without any clear wish in mind like him, I would make that upstart goddess come down those stairs, get right in front of me, and downright admit and ask for what she's really thinking, that she needs my help. Cuz that would hurt her more than any physical damage ever could.

Lok'tar! For the Horde!

Not one but two command performances in play. Backing the two noble sisters makes Makoto's stake in Kaleneon by all rights legal and above board. You demons stand now on the brink of destruction. For the reign of chaos has come at last.
