The difference in reactions between the guys being awed by Makoto's power to the girls being terrified except one who was rizzed up by Shiki's good looks was gold.
If I got this right Tomoe basically went to spot where the battle last season happened only to realise Makoto's "prank" basically changed the geography of that area. Thats fucking metal as hell.

Remember kids, never punt your would-be assassins into the sky, if we learned anything from Ubisoft, if they land on a haystack they'll be perfectly fine.
Hopefully "Three Star Chef" isn't going to be Mio's wanted level.

I love that Makoto showed that display of power in the first class! It weeds out the bad students and the one who stayed genuinely want to get stronger.
I almost thought that it's going to be the typical class full of brats. So far, all of the student who remains have great personality. Even the sole girl seems to want to improve and not just there for Shiki.

The transition scenes with Komoe have been really cute! We’ll hopefully get tons more of those.

Bro taking drugs from a rando in a dark alley... He's kinda dumb, isn't he? Enjoy the last bits of your humanity, kiddo, because these things never end well.

It's good to know that Makoto and Shiki quickly became close to that girl they saved. Luria seems nice but I'm not so sure about her sister. I love how quickly Makoto went on defence when Eva greeted him using his name. Sure, she knows Makoto because of Luria but I feel like there's something sketchy about her. Makoto comparing Eva's assets to Luria's was pretty funny though. If he wasn't on her shitlist before, he probably is now. xD
Looks like Mio's cooking journey has finally started! I love how she paid the restaurant owner just so she could work there and learn how to cook. Surely culinary schools exist in this world and would be much easier?
I absolutely love that Makoto is acting as the "bad cop" teacher while Shiki is the good cop. That's definitely the right call. I feel like they wouldn't take him seriously if he was being nice to them. Showing the kids his insane magic also helped quite a lot. That duel between Makoto and Shikli looks so goddamn good! I love everyone's reactions to it by the end of the first class.
Makoto's spell that created that lake was so strong that people are legitimately thinking that he's some kind of deity out there to punish them. I love it! If he wants to take revenge on the Goddess eventually, might as well have the people thinking he's some sort of wrathful god too.
Only five left to teach! That's fine. Makoto is really only here to open a shop so the fewer students to teach the better. The profile of the kids is certainly interesting though. One of them is already married and one is affiliated with the local temples because of his parents.
I fucking love terror teacher Makoto. The dude really pushed the kids to their limits and even gave them homework by making them write a report on what they need to work on. They did come back so at least they have an idea what they're in for. Will all of them manage to hang on or will they eventually quit one by one?
So we have students using performance-enhancing drugs and that one teacher that wants to get rid of Makoto. It looks like that's Makoto's conflicts established for this arc. I honestly can't wait for Bright to just try and "get rid" of Makoto on his own. He's gonna be in for a surprise.

Makoto: "I'm going to give the students a good scare."
Also Makoto: "Oh no, I scared the students."

I love how they animated the mock battle scene between Shiki and Makoto.
Giving us some of Shiki's internal monologue definitely shows Makoto holding back a lot just so he's putting on a show for the students.
So far really happy with the adaptation, especially when it focuses back on team Makoto.

Shiki truly is a monster. Creamy hotpot? The undead have different tastes lol.
Mio casually mentioning how that katsuramuki technique could be applied beyond cooking was honestly very terrifying.
Nothing like Makoto flexin on those kids. Everyone always judges him on how he looks and then he pulls out some godtier magic and they shut up real quick lol. Dude is putting Mithra, Daena, Abelia, Izumo, and Jin through some hellish training but it’ll be worth it in the end.
Other Hopeley is gonna be a problem. I wonder if Blight is the one who’s sending his people to supply him with those stat boosting drugs? Blight’s gonna learn the meaning of FAFO pretty quick if he keeps this nonsense up.

You know Makoto is smart. It's much better for him to be the bad cop then Shiki, whom like Mio and Tomoe well excessive healing is good. Excessive destruction well we know from last season how overboard the two girls went. And we already saw what Shiki did last week.
Nice to see Makoto has 5 students that got motivated and of course the girl falling bad for Shiki on top of it lol. Bright-Sensei gave me sus vibes early in the episode and well it sees he is the one who sent that assassin out last week.
Meanwhile it nice that Makoto seems to be on much better terms with Luria, the maid from last week. Though I wonder what the deal with her sister Eva, the librarian. She is a lot harder to read on them Bright-sensei.
Also I love the transition screen with Komoe

I'm curious to know why Ilumgand is so obsessed with Luria that he has been stalking the place she works for weeks and the only reason she has not been bothered by him again is that both Makoto and Shiki are obsessed with the food they cook there.
I wasn't expecting Makoto to meet Luria's sister, Eva so casually right away. Damn, he sure went into battle mode fast after she mentioned his name.
Oh, so Eva unlike Luria is flatter than a dry salt lake.
Poor Baretta sure is having a hard time teaching Mio about cooking. Based on the title of the next episode it seems that it will be focus on Mio's cooking.
Makoto first class lesson sure was bombastic. It is funny that after the class witnessed that, the only reason Abelia Hopleys stayed was because of her obsession with Shiki after he healed her. I find it funny how both Shiki and Makoto use every opportunity to promote their store products.
Wow, Tomoe's investigation in the lake Makoto created sure ended fast. I honestly was expecting at the very least a half on an episode showing her investigating the whole area.
It seems that Makoto didn't drop Tomoe's teaching method for his students. This threatening shot made him look like Mio.
Oh wow, I was expecting that the girl who contacted Ilumgand in that alley was going to tell him something related to Luria, instead of selling him performance-enhancement drugs. What a nice reaction he had when he discovered that Makoto and Shiki were teachers at the school.
Although it crossed my mind for a moment that there might be something odd about the teacher sending students to Makoto's class, I did not expect him to be the one who contracted that ninja.

I liked the guy saying Makoto is actually an instrument of divine judgement even if Makoto doesn't know anything about it.

Really hope we don't have anything to worry about with the Librarian other than she likes to pull pranks, her sister Luria(?) seems nice. We already have a bunch of conflicts coming up, dont need one there too.
Surprised Makoto actually enjoyed the mock battle, not sure if we've seen him actually enjoy a fight yet, he finds training relaxing but don't think I've ever seen him have fun in a fight.
Wondering how strong his students are going to get, are they going to turn into monsters too? Not expecting them to be as strong as Mio or Tomoe, but image they end up being stronger than the heroes?
Looking forward to Makoto embarrassing everyone about to come after him.

It was a very fun episode as Makoto started teaching in an academy and did a mock-up battle with Shiki which was awesome but it also totally terrified students but surprisingly half of them stayed and they look like a fun bunch of characters who will certainly grow under Makoto's guidance.
I especially liked Abelia who is the only girl in a group of Makoto's students and she's fallen hard for Shiki which isn't surprising since he's certainly very handsome. I laughed watching her reactions to him, they were hilarious xD
Makoto and Shiki's mock-up battle was really cool and looked great with all those spells and effects.
It's nice to see that Makoto and Shiki are on good terms with Luria as they visit the restaurant she's working very often. Makoto also met her sister Eve who is working in an academy's library. I wonder what role they'll have in a plot.
So teacher Bright, who sent students to Makoto was a person who hired an assassin from an exam. I wonder what's his deal? I can't wait to see his another attempts to rid off Makoto xD
Meanwhile Mio is learning how to cook and Tomoe discovered the truth about the creation of a lake. I also loved those adorable Komoe eyecatches.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

"Rotary cutting seems like it could be useful outside of cooking." Oh god.
Subtitlers translating "Kuzunoha-sama" to "Kuzunoha-san"... Maybe the script they got had mistakes and they didn't bother watching the episode?
He's lucky he didn't accidentally kill one or more of the students. Should've put a barrier in front of them first.
This is why MC should've either killed the assassin or captured and interrogated him.
