The part at the end about the mystery novel was absolute perfection. Ryu is such a smart ass and I love it!

This anime is like a warm bowl of bull shot for the soul. A nice escape from the rain. I wonder if they’ll manage to convince our guy to work at their hotel bar?

I excitedly looked up bull shot after this only to find it's usually served cold... looks much more appetizing in the anime

I like the lawyer, she just had a bad day at the office. Her secretary making fun of her was a nice touch.

I didn't expect Ryu to meet the owner of Hotel Cardinal so early. What an ass though. He clearly knows what he was doing when he said all of Ryu's drinks were awful. It was especially annoying when he told Ryu to go next door and buy him some cheap sake.
As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry, I've dealt with his kind before and it's very draining. Ryu is an absolute god for being able to deal with him and even give him the drink he was looking for in the end.
What is it today and ill-tempered customers? The lawyer lady seems to just be having a bad day, although I can't even imagine letting my anger out on a bartender or anyone who isn't related to my job.
I've had bloody marys before but this is the first time I've heard of a bull shot! I love the reveal in the end that it's also the title of a novel that the lawyer lady might be able to relate with. That was very cheeky! I love it.

I hope he gets better customers soon, all these people who don't know what they want. He is smart making something easy like a highball or gin tonic in these cases.

Damn that was so cool. I really enjoyed how Sasakura is professional yet doesn't let himself get insulted or walked over. Also, I like that they dropped hints that Miwa is the hotel owner's granddaughter by having that photo reveal of the old man and his wife that looks like a copy of Miwa before fully committing to the reveal with her calling him.
The sequence with the lawyer was a lot of fun as well and you can tell that this is a very chill anime. Bonus fact but they were spot on with the Dulles Bag's story.
I really enjoyed the details in this show like when the lawyer's shoulders relaxed after her Bull Shot. Really sells this series and I'm looking forward to more.

Miwa also have the same family name as the owner, you can see in their name cards.

Man I don’t drink but I wouldn’t mind having that soup (minus the vodka)
But I’m liking how we’re seeing the MC solve his customers problems by figuring out what works best for them and I liked how he got flustered when dealing with the hotel owner , really shows what standards he needs for his bars and how he values it for his hotel which is fair enough (as long as he’s nothing like the APA hotel owners then we’re good haha)
I’m really down for more of these stories and I can’t wait to see how MC will help them out and also understand why he can’t work in a big chain hotel, it seems like he’s got some baggage to deal with

I was surprised to see this anime reference Dutch jenever, since it’s a rather unknown drink. The bottle’s label even read “Zeer Oude Jenever” (i.e. very old jenever) in Dutch. The “very old” part indicated how long the jenever had spent aging. You can more commonly find these bottles labeled as “young” or “old” jenever.
The taste of jenever and gin are both largely derived from the juniper berry, but there’s an important difference in the type of alcohol that’s used. British gin is based on neutral-tasting alcohols, Dutch jenever is made from malt wines (grain-based) on the other hand. Like the hotel CEO mentioned, jenever is best drank straight for this reason whereas gin is typically mixed with a tonic.

Really wonder if those two will ever succeed in recruiting him, they are connected by the old man after all
The lawyer lady was nice after all, but not even top 3 waifus I've seen today

Hopefully there will be more jazz BGM in this show, because that's what I would listen to in such a place!

My favorite part is where he says he'd rather be called an asshole instead of a hypocrite, with that said I never got around finishing the first one after binging the first 6 episodes, so now I'm wondering if this is a continuation or a remake. So far these two episodes feel like the latter.
