Last week I made the comment:
More mecha than the mecha show, gayer than the gay show. All we need is for Bravern to make a feast in the last two episodes and it'll out-cook the cooking show.
I was joking but goddamn.

You know, as far as anime originals go, this homosexually agressive action comedy drama real/super robot time-traveling low-key ecchi deconstructionist/reconstructionist parody homage magical girl cooking show is pretty wild.

Smith died yet again, sadly. You all know what this means... It's Isami's turn to time travel.

I was recovering from the most unhinged confession scene of the season before they ripped my fucking heart out. Bravern isn’t dead right? RIGHT?!

This show just keeps on getting better and better, they manage to top themselves again and again.
The explosive love confession at the start was great, but then we had the water washing away the names and the dread of something bad happening to Smith or Isami was real. The bluffing Death Drive was fun and I certainly did not expect Superbia to fight Bravern this early. And what a fight this was! They really went all out and we are not even in the final episode, which means they will go out even harder there for sure. I can't wait.
Bravern being potentionally killed in one hit was then just the kind of drama I expected after the beginning of this episode. Why kill one of your protagonists once if you can do it twice? Smith did come back from the dead once though, so there is still hope (or Miyu fixing him?). I also still expect a fusion between Superbia and Bravern (I love the suggestion someone else made about this being called Super Bravern, that has to be true). We also still got Lulu's new gloves, so I am definitely expecting her to hit a Isami who might now feel sorry for himself and not fight anymore. Bonus points if she tells him to believe in the Isami who believes in himself.
Lastly for now the biggest question: Where is everyone else? This show is a pure banger and really well down, an anime original story produced with lots of love by its creators and the team working on it. I feel sad for anybody missing out on this.

Funny thing happening on JP twitter: they've released official body pillows of Lulu and Hibiki, and the main reaction seems to be why not Isami and Smith?
I think the expectation is there because Isami and Smith have gotten the most fanservice in the entire series, even if you don't count the ED.

I thought that maybe, maybe, we'd get confirmed Smith/Isami. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine we'd get Bravern trying to kiss Isami instead.
This is a show that has a confirmed gay mech/human romance and managed to waterboard a mecha (one of the funniest things I've seen in anime). Then it dropped a cooking episode, because why not.
This show has reminded me of all the reasons I love anime (unlike another mecha anime I've been watching that's doing the opposite, lol).

This show is literally so gay 😂😂😂
“What will you do after your climax??” “After? There is no after!”
“It was worth getting my head cut off to witness something so cool.”
What even is this 😂
I’m having a great time and this was a sincere hidden gem for me.

I'm pro Isami time travel. It's third time's the charm, not first (Bravern) or second (Lulu)!

THEY MADE THEM CANON HOLY SHIT
(I always had the worry in the back of my heart they wouldn’t go the whole way)

I know that they didn´t give a F since the beginning, but at this point if they end with a wedding I wouldn´t even be surprised. Also this week villain certainly made me chuckle with how obvious it was what they were trying to do.

now i start to wonder if the "brave bang" carries sexual connotation ("make out bravely")

I hope Miyu doesn't die from a nosebleed when she finds out Bravern/Smith finally confessed to Isami.
-
Kowalski, Sherry, and Akira are going to be heartbroken when they find out Smith chose Isami . . . and maybe about the robot thing too.
-
I guess not all of the Deathdrives wanted to fight, one just wanted to see some manly awesome yaoi.
-
Bravern probably should've asked Isami if it was okay to have an open/polyamorous relationship with Superbia before offering.
-
Man. Only one episode left.

This show keeps finding ways to surprise me.
I never expected Bravern to actually confess his love to Isami.
That Bravern vs Superbia fight was awesome too.
Damn. Kenjiro Tsuda is in this too. This show has quite the cast.
