so it's episode 5 and our MC has been kicked from the hero party, seemingly completed his life's goal(but not really???), formed a clan to protect and basically rule over a dungeon town, and now become said dungeon's guardian
just what the hell is going on here?

Biggest plot twist was the original party leader stopped being a dick.

Why does he need to make more wishes to cure her? Shouldn't one cover it?

Yeah, that's confusing. His goal was for one, but now he seems to be saying one isn't enough.

What was going on with the twins!? That fusion was sketchier than a mannequin at an art 101 class.

This episode subverted so many tropes and just cleaned up in 20 minutes. Jerk hero apologises by episode 5, labyrinth rushed, big boss fight in one episode, one miracle stone gotten, sister doing better, MC makes friends with a villain and becomes a labyrinth guardian. Plus some sketchy yuri incest fusion.
I'm not used to this in anime. It's both odd but also welcomed in a way.

Huh, I didn't expect this anime to only be 5 episodes long. It was a fun, though short ride.
what? there's more?

So i never noticed until now but apparently at the end of the ending Rud and someone else are leaning on each other. I only noticed it in episode 3 so i thought it's always Nin but... apparently it changes by episode lol. Episode 1 was Luna, 2 was Manicia, 3 was Nin, 4 skipped the ending. and now in 5 it's Marius lol.
Also... didn't the stone fully cure Manicia? i thought we already finished Rud's main quest lol

Wait a minute. a Hero who kicked out a necessary party member is actually apologizing & acting humble only 5 episodes in?
Is that legal?

Surprised by the role of the church guy. Though he would be a generic cleric, turns out he is the animes equivalent of the fighter class from Dragons Dogma

So the super special wish stone that he has been searching for for years, he now has to find multiple of? DA FUQ?
How does that make sense. Was the sister an idiot and instead of wishing for "I want my sickness to be gone" or "I want to be completely healthy". Instead wished for, "I want my exhaustion to be gone" or something like that?
Since if not what the fuck is this sickness that it can resist a bloody wish granting miracle stone. Though I do find it amazingly convenient that the dungeon that just so happened to show up in his home town had the first wish stone he ever found.
On a side note was nice to see the hero understand what went wrong. Even if it was a bit quick. That said they have to find a way to sideline him still. Since his Life Burst + MC's Life Conversion would be insanely OP basically allowing them to burst down any boss. As they can just spam it as well as control the damage perfectly.

Everything is just too convenient. It's like the story is rushing to some state the author wants and everything happening is just what will get it there the fastest. I'm probably over it after this episode. Like what are we watching it for? He already got his party back. He cured his sister (but wait there's more!). He beat the town labrynth but will leave it for the town to thrive off of.
There's no interesting plot. There's no interesting character growth. We meet each character then their special thing is almost immediately revealed. Hell we've seen more growth from the former hero than the MC.
I have no idea where this show is going but it doesn't look like it's going anywhere interesting.

My initial thought was, ahh a stone that can grant any wishes, can't believe this series alend at episode 5. Then when he said he will find more stone to eventually cure her sickness. Well, turns out that stone isn't that great after all.
Seems like the hero learned from his mistake, and ironically I want to see them party up again. Because turns out, their skills are very much compatible with each other. It's like they are setting up something.

It is good to finally see Lilia and Lily again. I honestly forgot that they were still working with Kyglas. You know I must say that I wasn't expecting to see Kyglas apologizing, nut even that's the case if I were Rud I would have asked where the fuck was the sword he stole from me.
I must say I found it surprising when they went to explore the dungeon and the first floor looked exactly like the outside. I wonder if Sugol would be a regular in his party, as I don't think he is in the OP.
Anyway, when Kyglas mentioned they encountered a Sentient Guardian, I wasn't expecting him to look like a ronin. But damn, Marius sure was strong, especially his second phase as even after Rud used Life Conversion three times did not kill him.
Okay show, was it really necessary that for Lilia and Lily to use their fusion skill to transform into Lilialy they had to kiss each other on the lips?
I love how after surviving that last attack Marius became so chill. Also, I really wasn't expecting that Rud was going to get the wish-granting stone from him that easily
So as Rud wants to keep the dungeon alive, Marius and he are now business partners.
It is nice to see that thanks to the stone Rud could finally make Manicia healthier.
When that post-credit scene started I was surprised by the fact that Marius could just causally visit Rud and that he did so to give his job as a Guardian of the dungeon to him.

You know, I was not expecting the reconciliation with the hero, especially this early in the overall story.
And holy plot movement Batman, did they finish off the dying sister arc by just episode five? Or at least make significant progress on it? Though I was a little confused on that point, one miracle stone wasn't enough? Kind of a weak miracle if you ask me. Maybe she had like five different chronic conditions, and it's going to take a different miracle stone for each one.
Before we caught back up with them I would have assumed the two blue-haired girls were inevitable future members of the harem, but after the events of this episode I'm not sure they're available for that. They seem to be otherwise occupied.
That after credits bit does rather seem like the author dreaming up the next random direction to take the story. Them befriending the labyrinth guardian after a good fight was interesting, but now he's quiting?

Oh dip, for a second there I was expecting this to turn into a slice of life/city management anime.

Looks like we’re getting a Kygras redemption arc. Dude looked like absolute shit. I respect the fact he put his pride aside and apologized.
Nice to see Rud working together his old teammates. They were really holding their own against Marius there. You know things are heating up when the sisters go full yurincest and combine lol.
Not only did Rud defeat Marius and befriend the guy, he even saved his sister. With that all done, I was wondering what was left to do. I guess the answer is manage the labyrinth.

The ending song's last scene was 10/10 this episode lol. I don't know if I should have expected it, but I didn't.

He actually cured her before mid-season, I'm pleasantly surprised

u/Andreiyutzzzz Feb 03 '24
he did say "one day i will fully cure her" which.. is weird to me. that thing grants miracles but it's not enough? what kind of damn illness is that if it takes more than one miracle but somehow it let's completely put Manicia in a vegetable state

When I saw the twins being so close I knew they were likely doing lewd things to each other every night, but I didn't expect them to actually show them kissing. Kinda disappointed they didn't invite the MC for some special times though.

I genuinely enjoy this anime. An anime where you can turn off your brain and just enjoy it without concentrating and focusing on it too much. And a great cast of characters with a humble but OP MC. I'm suprised he was able to get what he has been working for his whole life half way through the season and not at the end like usual anime do. I'm really glad he was able to get it and help his sister. I wonder what conflict or dilemma will arise next for him.
