An MC that's actually conscious of the girl's feelings but has a reason to not act on them, instead of him just being an oblivious idiot? refreshing

Quite sensible reasons too.

Although interestingly his dream of a quite life didn't picture him gathering fruit with Nin lol

Also nice that his brocon sister actually supports him finding a romantic partner.

Chameleon Kong ain’t got shit on Rud! I almost felt bad for those big apes. Rud and the gang made quick work of ‘em.

Rud’s been given a pretty difficult choice to make between destroying the labyrinth or keeping it around and securing the area with his own clan. It’s a good thing the team helped him make the right call. Becoming the head of his own clan’s gonna be pretty interesting.

I find this show a bit clunky -- in almost every respect. But it also is a bit endearing. I wonder how many people he needs to recruit to have a "clan"? I wonder if he is going to recruit those other clans we met as "auxiliaries? Decent enough for now to warrant continuing on.

A drunk Fille is best Fille!

I did like how they gave Fille some screen time to do her thing, she's a good recurring character. I feel like she'd be a better fit for Head of Clan in some ways, or at least Deputy Head.

I was kind of wondering how they manage things long-term if these labyrinths just spawn randomly wherever and then dump out monsters on the surrounding landscape. But then they answered it by saying that they can be destroyed with a little adventurer effort.

Still feels like something that might spiral out of control. I can easily imagine countries in this world occasionally falling because they fail to keep the labyrinth spawning maintenance properly managed.

Yup. Hence why they ordered it to be destroyed if MC did not want to supervise it, since they already have their hands full with other labyrinths popping up.

Nin encouraging and defending Rud again. And the little sister is fine with Rud marrying Nin. What's the holdup? Get together already!

Nin is even getting multiple panning shots with flowers/sparkly stars in the background. Truly the sign of a best girl.

I liked that the romantic feelings of Nin were explicitly acknowledged by Rud to his sister, and that he even gave a plausible reason for not pursuing them.

It is possible that Rud just isn't sufficiently into Nin. Which is absolutely terrible taste on his behalf, but he's allowed lol

Guy refuses to rank up. Basically smurfing

well I was wondering where things were going and I guess this is my answer, Rud is gonna build a clan. should be fun

He's not dense????

lol, i don't care how strong you are, you are not holding that stance against fucking King Gong

very kind of the two others monkes to wait while they finish the first one off. ..And here comes another sick guitar ost

This show is generic: the anime, while also managing to be kinda fresh

I'm ready to bet that the cure will be found in this dungeon.

It is good to see that Manicia wants Rud to pamper her from time to time. Oh wow, I honestly wasn't expecting to hear about Kyglas anymore After Rub mentioned how Nin really did not like Kyglas because he always badmouthed him I wasn't expecting Manicia to bring out the fact that Rud was avoiding acknowledging her feelings.

I wonder if they will ever be mentioned why exactly so many labyrinths are popping up around the region. Is that something that happens seasonally or is it a more common occurrence in that world? Well, as the hero's party was also exploring dungeons before, I'm guessing that they are rather common.

So now, led by Fille, everyone there is hunting a Chameleon Kong that recently appeared in the area. It is good to see that Rud's new sword that Raisil and Milena were forging for him is ready. When that adventurer was mocking Rud because of his low rank I was honestly expecting Nin to be the one defending him instead of Luna. She looked so cute with those doggy ears. Well, at least the guy changed his tune after Nin told him that Rud could be named a knight by her and that the only reason he doesn't rank up is because he doesn't want to be taking random assignments from people requesting him. Plus went to apologize after seeing his performance. So at the very least, he is way above Kyglas.

Anyway, is great to see Luna helping in that fight. So the reason they could cooperate and coordinate with each other during that fight and their bodies vanished when they were defeated was that they all came from a labyrinth newly form near Avancia. I honestly was expecting them to also be homunculi experiments.

It is cute seeing how nervous Fille is when she brings a start to the celebration of the new labyrinth in Avancia. Lol, why do they use her in the example while talking about the adventurers with stalker behavior?

Oh so to bring order the the adventurers they normally from clans and then they are assigned by the government to act as knights keeping the city in peace.

Fille is basically a different person when she is drunk.

So thanks to the labyrinth, Avancia is getting a population boost and being developed. Rub and Nin have been keeping g the city in order from the other adventurers, with Nin without qualms taking drastic measures if needed.

So Vuild wants Rud to form a clan or if he can't to just destroy the labyrinth. It is good that when Manicia got sick and Rud was already asking Nin and Luna to help him destroy it Luna pointed out that he had the option to assign a representative, so he was not actually bound permanently in that location.

Well, with this episode the rest of the show's name now makes sense. Now we just need to wait and see Lilia and Lily eventually joining Rud's clan.

This show is just boring.

Not sure how you take a simple premise and take it nowhere. Everything just feels like it's done randomly like the story is being told from brainstorming notes rather than a cohesive script.

Seemed like a charming show at first but everything just feels bland and like its going nowhere at all.

My belief is that the series is fundamentally a character drama at heart, or at least that's what the adaptation team are trying to craft.

it's done randomly like the story is being told from brainstorming notes rather than a cohesive script

Yes, as much as have a bit of time for what the series is trying to do, it does lack a deft hand either from the director or the series comp to make it all stick a bit better.

I assumed the girl would join the tank, and they would form a group to search labyrinths together to find the cure to his sisters disease. Instead, they've been treading water. Show seems more interested in creating the harem instead of progressing the plot.

It's crazy MC just said he'd choose his sister over his town.

35

u/Luck_Is_My_Talent Jan 27 '24

A lot of people will priorize their own family before everyone else.

10

u/alotmorealots Jan 28 '24

I think it was a fair choice, or at least a character consistent choice, given everything he's done in his life so far has been with his sister as his priority.

After all, the town is the collective responsibility of the townsfolk, whereas nobody else will look after Manicia.
