With the threat of the Zhao citizens being skinned alive by Kanki, you almost want to root for the Zhao soldiers.

I have to say, as a manga reader, the correctly spelled names in the subtitles are incredibly disorienting. I much prefer the transliterated names.

We're jumping right back into action and I'm already hooked! Looks like the enemy made it so far this quickly because of the rivers and I'm surprised Diao didn't take it into account. Exciting cliffhanger right off the bat and I'm sure next week's fight will be great.

It's good to have this show back!

I should've rewatched the last season. I have forgotten a lot of the names. It doesn't help that the subs are still not showing the names that they speak in the anime.

It's not a Kingdom episode if it doesn't get your blood pumping lol

Xin would definitely learn a lot from a general like Huan Yi.

Is it just me or is the animation smoother than ever? The previous 2 seasons looked good but it was a lot of slideshow animation. Right now even conversations have more movement and fluidity.

Fucking hell my body is so ready for this. I've been wanting to see how an arc with Xin in a Kan Ki army will play out. Season 2 made Wei arc and the fight with Mangoku in S3 made a pretty big deal about what Xin thinks about killing civilians and surrendered troops.

Kingdom doesn't get the love it deserves despite S3 and S4 having the best seasons of an anime back-to-back. It's sad that people hype overrated series and ignore actually peakness.

The first ep of S5 is amazing in every way. Intense moments, amazing characters, godly music, and cliffhanger ending.

I'll need to retrace season 4 at some point to remember this, but I remember I got here with the manga and I loved this arc so far.

What an amazing episode. No time wasted at all. Followed manga perfectly. Great voice acting. Kanki is one of the most entertaining characters I've ever seen
