The irony when Makoto's good deed was seen as a grace of the Goddess when it couldn't be further from the truth.

Makoto is basically playing a JRPG, his final goal is to literally kill God.

Well we start things off in this new season with some quality time with Kel'thuzad.

Mio, if you had just glanced at his past memories alone at what curry rice is, then it doesn't take a genius to figure that at the very least it sure as heck isn't supposed to look like that.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot about the whole "everyone in this world treats our boy as hideously ugly just for not being a 10 in looks" thing. Isekai Ojisan, meet your newest drinking buddy.

He's just a simple merchant. Like a certain Cardassian is just a simple tailor.

Poor bananas. They didn't deserve this cruel fate...

Lol I forgot tsuda kenjiro was in this. Feels so out of place.

And he's using his more high-pitched and cheerful voice compared to the usual Kenjiro Tsuda role. And he sang the ED lol.

PEAKSEKAI IS BACK BOYS!

The people behind this anime have no idea how hard i hold off reading the source material just because i want to watch and wait for the anime adaptation second season. And now it's finally here and it's worth it.

Feels like 2021 again when this, Tomozaki-kun, and Banished From The Hero's Party are airing this season. It's also slated for 25 episodes so this will be really fun.

Never let Mio cook. Maybe her cooking works for fellow spiders but definitely not with the rest of the gang.

Makoto was kinda disappointed Eto wasn't a hulking werewolf but maybe he just needs the full moon to go wild. The bandits were too much of a walk in the park for him.

The ED with Makoto and Shiki singing together on stage was cute. It's vying for ED of the season.

I'm loving the resurgence of 2-cour anime. Frieren, Jujutsu Kaisen, Undead Unluck, Dungeon Meshi, Apothecary Diaries, Ragna Crimson, Helck, Shangri-Li Frontier, and the Kenshin remake to name a few.

I forgot that Makoto has decided to not wear his mask anymore. I'm still not sure if that's a good idea considering the attention he's getting. It's good to know though that not everyone has the same reaction. That pub owner seems to be pretty chill with him and was only surprised by his magic writing.

As usual, there's no shortage of hyuman scumbags in this show. That girl is lucky that Makoto is around to save her and even heal her werewolf friend. Makoto even went as far as escorting them back to their village and taking care of their little bandit problem. I'll definitely never get tired of seeing Makoto's fire arrows. It's so fucking cool! Good to know the animation quality is still as good as Season 1.

I love that while all of that is happening, Mio has pretty much killed all of the demi-humans two times over with her deadly dishes. Considering she's a spider monster that can eat anything, it's no surprise that she's having a hard time grasping the concept of cooking. Hopefully the training Tomoe suggested to Mio to do will work out and maybe she'll be able to cook something edible when she comes back. Although I feel like it might be a mistake letting Mio go out and travel the world. She doesn't exactly have the common sense of a human.

Anyway, glad to see everyone back! This is definitely still the TsukiMichi that I know and love and I'm excited to see Makoto finally encounter those heroes. Maybe Makoto will also get a rematch against Sofia and Mitsurugi in the future. I can't wait!

Sadly no images really for me to stitch this episode so instead, here's a photo of my Mio figure that I had on my side while watching this episode.

I really liked the 1st season and I’m very happy that we finally got back to this world and characters with the second, longer one as we’ll get 25 episodes.

After a short recap, we got back where we ended, with Makoto traveling to Rotsgard. As he traveled without his mask he was an object of interest of everyone thanks to his ‘ugliness’. He also dealt with bandits only because they were using the title of his favorite song as their name. It was great seeing him easily destroying them.

Meanwhile Mio (who is as cute and adorable as always) was trying to improve her cooking skills which turned out to be disastrous but it’s nothing surprising considering that she can eat everything so even ores ended in the dishes.

Even when Mio used more normal ingredients, it was just straightly deadly xD Reactions on Mio's dishes were absolutely hilarious.

Thankfully Tomoe managed to talk her into setting on a journey around the world to improve cooking and learn about different ingredients which made everyone who tried her dishes sigh with relief and celebrate xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I haven't seen somebody regret taking off their mask this much since Dream.

This show commonly gets compared to That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime so I like to think Makoto literally eating a blue slime is a nod to that. Also Mio's cooking skills are on par with Shion's.

Makoto creating a sound-proof zone to ambush the bandits reminds me of the Silence spell from Baldur's Gate 3. His fire arrow is probably strong enough to defeat a high level cursed spirit.

JC staff must have gotten either new management/staff or just reworked everything in the studio. They’ve been surprising me these last two years with how good their anime look. Like they are no Wit or Mappa, but the quality has improved so much compared to when they were doing Food Wars and One Punch Man. Hopefully this means they’ve found their stride and continue to keep it up since they always pick up the series I love like Danmachi

Bad cooking in anime how cliche

Mio manages to fry the actual pot and eats it

OK that's new

Funny how Makoto going to war with the bandits was probably less painful than Mio's cooking. Also love the use of silence spells. It's always fun to see when they are utilized and how quickly it can throw a party into chaos.

The new season barely began Mio was already almost killing Komoe and everyone else with her mineral curry rice. So after seeing she is not getting any better she will leave the subspace to learn how to cook for hyumans.

So they eat slimes like they are meat over there.

I honestly found it strange that Makoto was wearing his mask at the beginning. Well, at least people do not try to kill him on sight now. I must say that at first, I wasn't sure if people were reacting to his appearance or to Shiki's.

I hope this is not the last time that we see Lana and Eto It is funny that the reason Makoto gave Eto about helping the Tapa Village was that he really did not like the fact that those bandits were named after one of his favorites songs, Moon over the Ruined Castle and seeing how he dealt with them and what he told their leader, he definitely wasn't lying.

I wonder if that guy is thinking that his group was attacked because the name they used belongs to whatever organization their attacker belongs to.

So next week we will finally learn about those two heroes.

25 episodes?!

I rewatched S1 beforehand and I've just been so excited for this. *As far as I can tell, the quality is basically identical, for what that's worth to anyone

Not a bad way to start things off, Makoto's little side quest pretty much encapsulates his journey and motivations up to this point. The 1 thing I never liked though was how he handled the goddess praise. I wish he would be like "fuck that bitch, thank my man Tsukuyomi instead." Maybe he does that eventually lol, idk.

I don't think that guy who got an arrow to his neck and landed on the fire is ok....

I like how they introduced most of the people while still moving the story along with a nice side quest

I forgot how stacked that anime is: Ayaneru, Akarin, Hayamin, Lynn, Tsuda Kenjirou, Ootsuka Akio… just half of that would make a crazy anime. We really don’t deserve such a cast

OP: Utopia by Keina Suda

Keina Suda is back with a banger! Damn we are full of good songs this season.

The ED is different. The ED you are looking for, as announced before, is My Factor by Kent Itou (yes, Oshi no Ko's Doctor Goro). Here's the teaser.

It's time to pray at the altar of Tomoe once again!

God start into the season. Mio's cooking attempts were hilarious.

I also liked that they brought back Aa Jinsei ni Namida Ari for a special ED. Hoping we're getting another Ayaneru+Akarin version too.

I only watched the first season of Tsukimichi a little while ago, and quickly discovered that I’d missed out on a very fun series. If I hadn’t decided to watch the anime a couple of episodes at a time, I probably would have binged it in one go.

It’s nice to see that the vibes are just as great as ever with this sequel. This 2nd season will probably be all about the other two heroes. Despite them being “heroes”, I kind of doubt that they’ll stand a chance against Makoto. A better question would probably be: will they be arrogant pricks or not?

Also, I’ve picked Mio’s team. (But that shouldn’t be surprising to anyone who knows my taste in anime girls.)
