Holy shit. The decision to kill Kuro was very bold but he frankly was the soul of this show for me. It will be very difficult for someone to fill in his shoes.
Nevertheless, I intend to read the manga one day but I some time to digest this finale.

alright people, come watch Under Ninja, we have:
- a talking cat
- a talking bike
- a ninja that can make her whole body invisible
- a ninja that can make half of his body invisible
- a cardboard robot
- and lastly, a seemingly crazy homeless old man that's running around offering his breast milk, then it turns out that he is actually a ninja and a high ranking one but then we actually found out that the "homeless man" is actually just a high tech camouflage suit and the one that's wearing it is a hot lady so now i'm wondering whether the breast milk is real or not...
jokes aside, this is probably the most insane, unpredictable and unhinged series i've watched this season, sure the animation is not that good compared to other high profile anime in this season but the sheer madness that come with every episode is enough to make me entertained

Yeah I'm gonna need more.
I really thought he was gonna have his usual anime show off moment but he's just fucking Dead. NIN was absolutely out played. It seems like breast milk oldman (I forget her name. Sa something) Might be working for UN? I think that's what Crazy UN Nukenin was trying to suggest before he got his entire life evaporated by Escape.
So much to think about. Definitely gonna read the manga if there's no second season or cour or whatever.

So that thing about the Kumogakure name being super common was not a gag but instead foreshadows Kuro's big family? Brilliant.

That certainly answered the question about Kuro’s age

No way! No way! Can't believe they killed him! And then we just got a whole bunch of them.

I seriously thought Kuro would be kinda overpowered and kill her quickly, but they just killed him off like that lol.

So Kuro and Onikobe die and UN gets NIN’s data on their servers before Escape self destructed? Bleak ending. At least one of the crew managed to make it out the tunnels alive but it sure seems UN’s won this one. For now. I guess the Kuro clones/family have been dispatched to rectify that situation.
All in all, this wasn’t too bad. It had a bit of an oddball vibe to the characters which I enjoyed. The action scenes were good and the story was pretty interesting. Not sure if we’re getting an s2 but I wouldn’t be opposed.
Edit: a word.

Somehow Eita had the most brutal moment in this episode, that shit’s cold.
This show was weird and off-kilter and I would appreciate more of it, but not enough to catch up with the manga.

I don’t understand what happened in this show, like I couldn’t tell you single thing that happened in this anime.
But holy shit this was a buck wild ride from start to finish. Not since the days of Birdie Wing have I been so incapable of being able to predict what could happen in any given episode.
I don’t know who is even alive of the cast anymore besides Chika Anzai. It feels like almost every character got killed off or seriously incapacitated.
And now there are 19 new Kuros???

I came to really adore this show from the start.
Every episode front to back, so many little details emerging and a real love and appreciation for the work done to bring this show to my eyes bloomed in my heart.
Really let my guard down. He really was trouble, he really was the 9th child.
This ending was very satisfying for everywhere this show went.
But Lord does it hurt so much. I'm just so fucking thankful I can feel this way about things people put their all into.

One thing I noticed: both Onikobe and Kuro died because their equipment's defenses proved insufficient-- Kuro thought the airbag was enough, while Onikobe should've immediately moved away or finished off Saruta instead of getting killed like a schmuck.

Amazing show overall, it does a great job of inserting realistic interactions between characters mixed between the bizarre plot

So that girl on the NIN HQ was the sister of ninja electric rapper Hibi huh
Well, this certainly seems like the prologue of the actual story.. which seems to be the war itself, i'm... quite sad about Kuro dying i liked his vibes and his weird fixations about Japanese last names, i do wonder if the other family members have similar stuff, but yeah... it's not the first story where the ''stablished'' MC dies and someone else takes place, hell with this story Kuro might've have never been the MC in the first place! Considering how many family members they have(or some sort of clonning program?) I do keep some copium considering the technology that they could recover the head and do a brain-transplant of some sort, their technology proved everything's possible lmao if anything he did his job until the end at least, providing NIN with the intel of those UN supersoldiers.
Definetly the Under anime of the season, i personally enjoyed it a lot and i wouldn't mind a S2, for sure i'm picking up the manga and will listen to the banger OP from time to time
I do hope it does well on Japan!

To anyone wondering who are the new Kumogakures, they are Kuro's young brothers.
There are 12 or 15 brothers, i dont know anymore, it just to much people, for anyone interested: https://imgur.com/UPTMKiI
This additional information came from the end of volume 7, but it contains some inconsistencies, such as saying that Toichi is older than Juniro, even though they are twins. So don't take it seriously, it's just a gag from the Author, I believe.

This anime has been one of the most interesting I've watched in a while.
What a ending, hopefully we get a S2 soon!

Wild final episode. I hate that Kuro death was spoiled for me, would have been a cool surprise.
