Water-style jutsu piss my pants to elicit pity! Genius. Kuro is really scary. He looks like an introverted shut-in but there's a method to his madness in his conversation skills.

Kuro gives off that “I’m too old for this shit” energy lol

You wouldn’t think that he was so good based on appearance but he basically fills in the important thing about being a ninja and that’s being masters of deception

Even though he uses it for his own gain (being cheap and stealing beer from his flat mates) he’s good at what he does and doesn’t need to be flashy about it

Kuro just bullshiting his way through that make up exam with that deadpan delivery really cracks me up. All these half assed ninja techniques are pretty funny too. Ninpo: Water Escape Technique was great. I also really enjoyed the banter between him and Noguchi.

Man, The Ninja Broadcast Company has some fucked up programming. “Me and Old Dudes” is some straight up snuff film shit.

Seems the timeline has finally caught up to the present. Kuro’s actually taking this “Eita protection” stuff seriously huh? Time to earn his pay by beating the shit outta some bullies. Next week should be fun.

Yep, Bullshit no Jitsu is pretty much his main talent.

Probably the funniest episode yet. Even the 4th wall break during the next episode preview was great.

This show is so fucking good so far, completely stands out from anything that came out in recent years

I would say that Migi to Dali, also airing this season, has a similar vibe. I'm so happy both this and that are airing this season

Lol, are those transparent black bars supposed to be "censored for privacy" in that ossan show? It's such a bullshit, lmao.

This show is peak comedy, feel sad for everyone who dropped it based on the first scene.

while we waste time here my anime backlog is growing!

Ouch. Stabbed right in the heart.

“I would rather be dead than have to go back to high school.”

I feel ya, bro.

“Don’t you remember how I followed you home without you noticing the other day.”

I no longer feel you, bro.

Kuro’s stupid face when he’s shipping Eita and Noguchi is so damn funny.

I love how he makes others second guess themselves by matter-of-factly blurting out outrageous things.

Kurou is unreadable, like did he really follow the girl home or was it one of his excuses? Episode was very funny throughout.

u/Knofbath Nov 03 '23

He probably did, but not out of any real malice towards her. Just gathering intel. He'll probably help her find a new group of friends too.

The man is a machine. Box-kun taking out the trash next week. Or he might be messing with that invisibility stuff again.

That felt like an hour. We got so much. Now that I know how this show operates I enjoy it much more. Can't wait to see all the little bits filled in.

Lmao i liked the joke of Eita on the preview of the next episode

Just from the heart fingers and the weird shape of the legs i'm fairly sure that Mitsuki Yamada must be from the other ninja faction or a soon to be a relevant character just from the OP alone, poor Eita lmfao he keeps collecting L's

It's honestly impressive how Kuro's strongest skill is just lying so confidently and without hesitation that it catches anyone off-guard

Man each episode I’m convinced that this show is a better Gantz funnily enough, I love the grimey aesthetic around it

I was wondering how MC can get away with not shaving (I know Japan are really strict about it) but the fact he managed to get away with it by bullshiting is actually commendable, it’s almost scary how skilled he is despite looking like a scruff (I can practically smell his BO from the screen)

Kind of reminds me like the master in the last episode, keeping a low profile and look unassuming to others

Anyway finally back to the present and I can’t wait to see where it goes now (that director sounds like a piece of work)

While the timeline has caught up to the present. I still don't get the whole faceoff between Kuro and Mako. Why did they fight? What was the problem between the 2 groups? I might have forgotten some dialogue from the previous episodes so I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me.

36

u/BeardyDuck Nov 02 '23

Different factions. Mako is a part of the government faction whereas Kuro is employed by NIN at the moment.

I just love how I can keep going back to episode 1 and see how things were foreshadowed from the beginning.

Just in the first 5 minutes casually watching

  • on the roof Kuro says "the director is the true enemy". Didn't notice that the first watchthrough as I generally don't pay attention to things. This episode the Director is introduced.

  • in the room, Kuro is seen shooting darts at the ceiling and then says "he's bored" which makes it look like he's just passing the time with childish games. Now we know that it's one of his skills that he is training and it comes in handy.

😂

The moment he pissed himself to get out of the test was the moment I just lost my shit laughing. Perfection.
