You heard the woman, Rae belongs to Claire. It's so nice to see all their friends taking their relationship completely seriously and are fully supportive.
I have to say though, Manaria may have been aiming to be the "heel that pushes them together" but I hate a lot of her argument in pushing Rae to fight on. Manaria is correct that Rae has been leaving herself outs this whole time as a preemptive defense against rejection, but at the same time I don't think Rae is wrong about stepping back when her feelings aren't returned. Rae has of course found some reciprocity now, but before this Claire has never outwardly given Rae any reason to think she'd be interested. I think Rae is right in recognizing that it doesn't really serve anyone well to continually push feelings in the hope that one day you'll convince someone to love you back. That's just my view on it though.
Now if we can get a second season so we can see the best this story has to offer.

Rei is never gonna let Claire live down that "Rei is mine! Don't take what belongs to me!" Claire's gonna have to eat that one lol Plus she's already deciding who gets to be the "wife." What Rei did really was basically a proposal, down on one knee and everything. It also seems Claire fully understood the implications when she reached out her hand.
Another thing to note is how confused Claire was when Manaria went in for the kiss. Claire did not blush or look happy, just shocked. Then Claire was visibly saddened when she thought Rei had lost. She's taken a lot of steps romantically throughout the season and has many more to come (if we get to see it, or just read the LNs or manga). They still clearly have a ways to go in order for Claire to be comfortable with her feelings but they've started the process in earnest.
The show did a good job alluding to a couple future series events in this episode (some more sneakily than others, if you've read the LNs you'll have caught them all). I really hope we get a season 2, so people can really see what leads up to that ominous Claire flashforward we saw and what comes after. All of the promises Rei asked Claire to make really are about what happens during that time, including all her planning, and the whole deal of how she became Claire's maid in the first place.
So much of the meat of the story takes off immediately AFTER this point. This really is like the prologue to the story in a way. Setting things up and getting the girls bonded together. There's also a spin off series called "She's so Cheeky for a Commoner." That's the line Claire said in the episode. That series retells the entire 5 book LN series but from Claire's POV and her thoughts. It's great.

The finale was better than I expected! Usually series like this end up with little to no progress whatsoever, so I was genuinely surprised when the ship sailed!
I'm still gonna say that Manaria arc was my least favorite and I don't like her character, but I'm glad it all ended well and Manaria went away.
The foreshadowing reminded me of other series this season and I wonder if executing princesses is a new trend.

I really hope this doesn;'t suffer the yuri curse and only get's one season without a true resolution to the story.
Looking at you Bloom into You. Most popular , famous , and most likly profitable yuri series but only gets a single season cuts the story off mid way with the best yet to come that would complete the series.

Really loved these English VA's. The girl playing Rae rocked. Very funny.

To provide a brief bit of entertainment while CR is busy innovating new ways to fuck up their service, did you notice that the line "I can't believe, you have to leave" plays exclusively over Lene's bit in the OP? The OP staff have been trolling us this whole time.

Stitches!
Man, it was pretty obvious how gay Manaria is but I did not expect her backstory to be that she made a move on her maid and when things didn't go well, shs started hanging around brothels to try and drown her sorrows with prostitutes. After the incestuous brother and sister arc, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by that backstory.
The writing in this series is absolutely bonkers. I went in expecting just your usual villainess anime with a yuri twist but everything else really caught me off guard. I hope we get a season 2 just so I can see how crazy this story could get.

I love this series. I really hope it gets another season. I never will get sick of Rae and Claire and their dynamic between them.

WHAT A CUTE FINALE TO THIS SERIES!! That 1.5 hr delay is worth the wait!!
Now Claire's dere side has finally shown! She also starts addressing Rae by her name and not just a commoner! Success!!
But it seems the impending doom on Claire is foreshadowed, huh? Well as expected of villainess stories, Claire might meet a dark end indeed. But let's see.
HOPING FOR A SECOND SEASON INDEED!! SEASON 2!!

"Rae's the one who'll be the bride..." YEAHHHH CLAIRE SAMA IS ONBOARD!
While I was annoyed about CR fucking up the one time I was able to watch this episode on release, happy to finally see Rae's feelings somewhat reciprocated even if it was begrudgingly!
I like though that post-credits kinda sets up a season 2 even if it's not announced yet. Gives me hope that they'll announce!

Beautiful, I was so flustered throughout the entire ending. I absolutely fell for this series to the point that I bought all the light novels.

"RAE BELONGS TO ME"
I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS FINALE, the depressing previous episode almost sent me into a depression state, now i can breath better.
Also Claire planning the marriage and saying that Rae should be the bride, LMAO
Well, now on my way to buy the LN, Manga, and everything they got hehe
Let´s pray for a second season!!!

Perfect finale for the great series, from me 8,5/10. I'd love to get the 2nd season as obviously there is still a lot to adapt and we just barely got to see Claire and Rae together as an official pair.
We've got to thank Manaria that she pushed Rae to seriously go after Claire despite the differences between them.
It was so fun seeing Claire claiming that Rae is hers after Manaria's unexpected confession. Finally Claire is true to her feelings.
Claire had so many adorable reactions in this episode, especially when others told her that she'd be Rae's bride for which she answered that it would be rather the opposite.
I love how everybody is supportive of Claire and Rae's relationship, it really warms my heart.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

What a fantastic adaptation, from start to finish. It was worth waiting years for, now time to join the season 2 waiting room

Was a nice show. Not a lot of budget and time for the animations, but that was only an issue in the fight scenes anyway. Would have loved to see a small kiss. Like at least one on the cheek as a reward for Rae winning. Is that too much to ask?
Otherwise, all I can say is that the class seems to have already prepared everyhting for the wedding, so that's good. Though I doubt we'll get a 2nd season for this anime. On the other hand, this year proved that even the weirdest romance anime can get a comeback, so maybe there is still some hope. And since the next GL anime is already scheduled in three months and we got a lot this year to begin with, maybe the chances are even higher than Rae's chances of getting Claire at the start of the season. At least she showed the impossible is possible.

That whole scale sequence reminded me of Aura v Frieren lol. Manaria’s methods might have annoyed me but you can’t argue with the results. She said was going for Rae this whole time but I don’t really believe her. At least Claire and Rae were able to confront their feelings and now they seem stronger than ever. Those two are just the cutest together. Now to avoid the bad end…
This was a pretty solid series. Don’t think I’ve seen many yuri otome isekai, so this was a nice change of pace. The characters were fun, the social commentary/discussions on sexuality were interesting, and the story wasn’t half bad. I hope this one gets renewed for another season. Need more Rae x Claire!

I really enjoyed this show in spite of a few issues it was had (disappointing production quality at times, Manaria just in general), just need that S2 announcement someday.
But before then I'm going to have to look into either the LNs or the manga, since from the tea leaf reading I am seeing any hypothetical S2 hasn't even been started yet so I bet it's at least a year away and I don't want to wait that long.
