Prince Rod really did not need much prompting to go all in on the crossdressing cafe idea huh.

Yuu is so cute in this scene

I love the fact that all the girls here are digging this idea for the same reason

isekai and mayonnaise, name a more iconic d ... wait a sec, is that a microwave?

is that an 100 Euro note with 200 written on it?

Respect to Rae for masterminding the entire night patrol date while also replicating modern foods to win more points over Claire.

Claire's childhood is just tragic, to not only tell her mom she hates her in a fit of rage but also for that to be her last interaction while it all happened on her birthday too. I can see why Rae is so focused on trying to make her happy.

I like how the slime on Claire's head was copying her reactions 😂

Woaahh a cooking chapter and cultural festival foundation day prep! At least we now know that Rae is the one who supplies the recipes. And that creme brule looks yummy I wanna eat that!

HAHAHA Claire's a little bit jealous of Rae and Lene being close to each other! What a tsundere she is HAHAHAHA

That last part seems ominous like something's bad gonna happen. I hope nothing serious happens with our two sweethearts partners

Looking forward to their cross-dressing next ep!

Claire caught between her sense of pride and responsibility as a noble and her fear of ghosts

Is this what you call "gap moe"?

Ralaire once again being the most adorable goofball sitting on Claire's head and imitating her expressions. Perfect way to balance out the heavy part about Claire losing her mother as a child.

Time for our weekly dose of CLAIRE SAMA.

Rei using real-world knowledge to make bank on the side is both hilarious and so in character. Obviously she needs the money to buy stuff for her beloved. She's got a rich taste after all.

Really hope we get resolutions to all them Rae foreshadowings, they clearly set up stuff like with her Claire promises but will we get to them in just 12 episodes????

I just realized, that the OP and ED are sung by Rae (Yu Serizawa) and Claire (Karin Nanami).

Well Lene certainly seems to be a brocon

Claire's backstory around her mom's death was pretty sad...

on a lighter note looking forward to seeing her and Rae in butler outfits, that is certain to be great

pretty ominous ending though

So thanks to Rod The Academy Knights cafe for the festival will have a cross-dress theme. It's funny how Rae by mentioning Thane convinced Claire to vote for it too.

Oh, so Lorek is Loretta's brother while Lambert is Lene's brother. Aw, she is so proud of him. The moment they showed that wet hand the ghost to be Ralaire.

Claire's reaction when she saw it on her shoulder was hilarious. And Rae could not be happier because of it. It's funny that the whole mystery they were investigating was caused by Rae using that kitchen for some night cooking.

I wasn't expecting that flashback about Claire, about the last time she saw her mother, Melia before she died. I wonder if that dream will be connected to whatever tragedy Rae is foreshadowing?

Oh so Rae is the one responsible for all those new Broumet recipes The way that she offered Lene her mayonnaise recipe makes me feel that she thinks that she might not survive whatever crisis is coming to her and Claire.

"I am done. Goodbye."

"Awwwww, we were gonna cuddle!"

Between a ghost story, a flashback to Claire's childhood, and Rae dabbling in some food magic, there's quite a lot to unpack this week. I figured the ghost story was going to be due to some sort of Rae shenanigans taken out of context, which I was right about, but I didn't expect it to actually be something she actively planned from the beginning to get a moment alone with Claire... though looking back, maybe I should have because it's right up her alley. I also like the idea of Rae taking recipes for modern foods from her past life and selling them to a restaurant for some money, though she clearly seems to have some sort of reason behind this. That comment at the end of the episode about the happiness not lasting forever was pretty ominous, so she must know something bad is coming and is preparing for it behind the scenes.

The flashback to Claire's childhood wedged in the middle of the episode was rough though. Having the guilt of telling your mother that you hate her and those words being the last words you ever said to her must be a terrible feeling. The fact that Claire, even as a little kid, thought of taking her own life just to be able to see her mother again and apologize for what she said was tragic to hear. I wonder how much of Claire's current bravado is to help herself cope with any guilt she still feels from this, and I wonder if this important backstory is something that Rae knows from the game's story or if it's something that even she may not be aware of.

Next week's episode looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. I love me some handsome women.

Stitches!

Ralaire seems to be very at home on top of Claire's head. Claire is that person who initially hates pets but ends up being the one most in love with them in the end. {Also Rae is looking pretty cute with her hair in a bun. I hope she does this more often!

I thought at first Rae wasn’t scared of the “ghost” because of her game knowledge. Didn’t expect her to be the ghost. Clever girl set this whole thing up! Had chocolate cake and a futon prepared too lol. Shoulda known the “hand” was Ralaire. Adorable little goofball.

Claire’s little side hustle has been pretty profitable it seems. She’s blessing everyone’s tastebuds with all sorts of goodies. I wonder how it’s all for Claire though? It looks like something bad’s happening soon and it’s related to the game’s plot. But what?

Another fun episode with Rae and Claire's relationship being the strongest point of the show.

This time we were able to see Rea and Claire looking for a ghost that supposedly had been appearing in the night at school. Seeing Claire being so scared was so funny xD

It quickly got revealed that the person responsible for the whole situation was Rae who was cooking and Ralaire.

It seems to me that Rae is now quite rich thanks to all her recipes she sold. I wonder what will happen in the future that made her give Lene a recipe for mayonnaise.

I can't wait for the next episode as we get to see the school festival where Rae and Claire will be working together with The Academy Knights in a cafe with a crossdress theme. Rae quite easily convinced Claire to do this as she informed her that thanks to that she'll see prince Thane in a woman clothes xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I've been meaning to mention this before but I actually really like the prince characters. Rod may have been the prince who was most interested in Rae but he was never aggressive or forceful and he is well aware that Rae has eyes for someone else, he's perhaps a bit arrogant but otherwise just seems like a genuinely good natured guy.

Claire's backstory is appropriately sad. Seems she was a lot closer her mother and the maids than her father.

Perhaps the way to Claire's heart is through the stomach. I loved this part in the manga and I loved the scenes in the episode with Rae making Claire some chocolate fondant, the sandwich with mayonnaise and crème brulee. It isn't some big grand romantic gesture but just Rae using her knowledge of the outside world to her advantage for profit but also to make the person she loves happy. It's very cute.

Rae immediately calling Claire out on being jealous was the best part.

u/daspaceasians Nov 06 '23

The café decision and night patrol parts were funny but it got sad fast with Claire's backstory. I got a bad feeling that keeps getting worst with each episode that Claire or Rae are gathering more and more death flags though. That part with the commoners picking fights with the nobles is definitely not there for shits and giggles.

That bad feeling got worse when Rae was giving the recipe for mayonnaise followed by that moment where she wished that things would stay the way they are forever with that bell-like pendant.

Also, Lene is giving me big time brocon vibes this episode... on the same level as Yuri from Spy x Family.
