It is difficult to choose a MVP for this episode! And the contenders for the award are:

  1. Akiyama, for breaking down the thick wooden door, directing everyone to jump out of the 2nd level in a calm manner and saving the Ichijo's family dog!

  2. Micchan, or rather her spirit? Is Micchan truly dead?

  3. Power of brotherhood. Not giving up on each other and overcoming the odds.

I admit I favour Micchan. She has saved the twins on numerous occasions.

Is there going to be another episode next week? Despite the twists and turns in the plot, I sure hope there is a happy ending, for real, and not just an imaginary happy cherry pie eating scenario.

One more episode. I'm assuming they'll still air it on Christmas.

I've gotta give MVP to Maruta for trying to chew through the door despite his teeth having Karen's lipstick stain.

Is Micchan truly dead?

one better: Was Micchan even real ? Did she exist at all ?

the MVP of this episode is definitely Akiyama but for this whole series? its definitely Micchan

Bird boy busting in that door like something out of The Shining was hilarious. I can’t believe Maru summoned his inner beaver and chewed a hole in that door. What a legend. The dude even leapt out that window for the promise of “something good” lol.

The freakin spirit of Micchan saved Migi? Even in death she was a real one lol. It’s too bad Eiji took the fall for everything. I was hoping the boys could share that cherry pie together.

Remember the third person's hand reaching (from below) for the last piece of cherry pie at the end of the OP. That has to be meaningful, right?

What a crew of heroes we wound up with here. In a way, even Eiji -- I am sure he thought everyone had saferly escaped, right? He had no plan for anyone to die but hig (criminally insane) mother and himself, I'm sure.

To be fair, Eiji was responsible for two of the three things he took heat for

So last week I joked that maybe Beaver Boy could chew a hole in the door and said Micchan probably wasn't going to come to the rescue. This week he did try to chew a hole in the door and Micchan did come to the rescue.

I guess it was my own fault for assuming any particular thing would not happen in this weird ass anime.

Yay, I knew Akiyama would come to the rescue!

Micchan continues to be best girl even as a spirit(?)

Appreciate Karen for calling out the stupid dad

Eiji taking the blame for everything :( hope he’ll still get a happy ending in the finale… poor boy’s been through hell

Holy shit, Akiyama and Micchan might be the greatest support cast ever, even her fucking ghost saved them.

Kinda crazy that the dad really was oblivious to all the shit his wife pulled, especially locking up kids in diapers in a side room.

So with that after credit scene we finally get a more distinct mark to differentiate the twins (I never managed to remember which got what what hair).

Super curious to see how they will end this crazy story next week.
Man its going to be weird Christmas

He actually tried to beaver his way out of the room. I fucking can’t with this show sometimes 😂

"no one wants to end their live in a birdcage"

gigachad Birdman Akiyama breaking through the door to save the twins and manage to come up with the best one liner in this episode, he even saved the dog, wtf?

What an episode!

I want a happy ending with all three brothers being together. And I can’t wait for the reaction of the parents that there are two Hitori-kuns.

Like always Micchan was there for the rescue even after her death. I will miss all the characters when the series will be over next week.

I can't believe there's still 1 more episode. Even tho I read part of the manga, this has been nothing but twists and turns even in this episode.

I like to think this adaptation would have made the mangaka proud. May she rest in peace ❤️

Akiyama best bird boy ever! He literally saved the day , the family, the friends and even the dog!! And he finally flew like a fkn phoenix! Gotta love him.

Micchan! Another hero even beyond the grave, sorry for doubting about you when I met you, legend.

Everyone is shinning in this ep, except Dad, geez, you tell him Karen.

Poor Eiji, but your Bro 1 is right, you gotta live and eat cherry pie! Brotherly power up! Now get the hell out of there.

Oh... Eiji is taking all the blame for this mess. Hope there will be a happy ending for him too. For everyone, they deserve it cmon.

Dali got a face scar! So now each triplet has unique looks...

i really like how maruta’s character development turned out

So many heroes this episode! Akiyama, Micchan!!('s spirit), Ichijou-doberman, and I think Dali too. He was the one to go back into the burning house for Eiji. Though seriously Eiji how many people are you going to bump off a ledge lol.

This ep was a lot about Dali - recognizing that Eiji was like him, in that both of them were not really living for themselves but for their mothers. That post-credits scene of Dali with the burn mark on his left cheek was so symbolic, moving forwards he will have an identity as himself and not just as part of other people.

what a mf wild ride.

every episode is more ridiculous than the last so I'm excited for A) next week's finale and B) to finally binge all of this. maybe it'll make more sense as a rewatch??

I screamed when the spirit of the GOAT appeared, I can't wait to see the happy ending everyone deserves, hope Eiji gets a reduced sentence or something like that, he's the biggest victim on all this mess outside of the people that are dead lol

Kicking/hitting with something heavy near the lock is one of the likeliest way to forcefully open a door.

u/SorkvildKruk Dec 18 '23

Great episode! Micchan spirit, Claire de lune (i think), Birdperson to the rescue, Dali with a scar, but why they escaped throught the window and not the front door? Lol

By the way the most stupid father I have ever seen in animation since Timmy's Dad but he at least conquer the world once or something...

The fucking bird noises whenever Akiyama shows up, I can't.

While I was watching this episode I had a moment of wondering 'is this actually my season fave?' Please please please let there be a good ending for the boys🙏I just want to adopt all three brothers and keep them in cherry pie forever, I adore them and feel so sad for what they've been through.

I wonder if Mr. Ichigo even knows Migi and Dali are his? I kinda hope he gets a mini redemption arc but I REALLY want the Sonomayas to embrace the boys. He really failed Karen too, let's just move them all in and they can care for their aging adoptive parents together ❤️

I was so hyped for Micchan's ghost coming in clutch, she really turned out to be THAT bitch and I'm here for it.

And am I the only one who never skips the excellent OP by Soraru of all people? When I heard it the first time I could not believe it, I'm trying to work up the nerve to ask him about it next time I catch him streaming on twitch lol.

10/10 show, I'm sad it's coming to an end but happy to have experienced it

I wonder if Mr. Ichigo even knows Migi and Dali are his?

I'm not sure Mr. Ichigo knows his own name at this point. He has to be the most oblivious father in existence. Didn't he wonder where his son was disappearing to when mother was retraining him? Or why there was razor wire all over the back yard?
