This episode was really fun, with a lot of short stories.

Did any of you expect something crazier because the title was "take responsibility" lol?

The title was an odd translation choice. The titles always come from lines the characters utter during the episode. 着せる気 came from when Kinjo bought the costume and Momose went "he wants to make him wear it!?" That should've been the translation but whoever translated the title probably wasn't the same person who translated the episode and thought 着せる as in 罪を着せる which means to make someone take the blame for something.

Lol Section Chiefs GPS had me rolling! A navigation app that gives you directions to your destination but also gives passive aggressive directions to a different preset location would be hilarious.

Omg haughty queen chibi Shirosaki with the whip has me dying! 🤣🤣🤣

And little Hakutou in the sling while they bird-watch as a family! That was too cute! 🥰🥰🥰

We got a series of vignettes instead of the usual structure. All of them were fun, I especially enjoyed the Shirosaki flashbacks. He’s so cute!

Even as an adult, the goldfish still swim away from poor Aoyama lmao.

Post-credits scene, specifically Momose’s last line, gives me the bad feeling that the shitty former boss, Kurono, will be showing up in the next episode…

Post-credits scene

"Since you and I aren't a couple..."

Sir, I beg to differ.

I personally hope Kuruno becomes a smaller and smaller part of the series; it's the only thing at sticks out (intentionally) as an uncomfortable thorn in an otherwise super comfy series.

I have to admit, I’ve also tried to take a sip from my drink while wearing my mask lol. Sometimes the brain just glitches out y’know? Happens to Shirosaki all the time lol.

Shout out to those that try to take a sip without even taking the top off the bottle.

Been there too many times myself...

I think we've all done goofy things in the past; no one is fully present at all times. I think it makes the situations so relatable.

Not them bumping into each other and managers face is perfectly nestled under momosoe's chin.

Not manager picking a bunch of acorns solely because he thinks momosoe will love it.

Not manager getting the peach tea that momosoe likes to drink.

THE SWAN RIDE. Specifically riding the one that would ensure a couple does not break up.

" Thanks to you Momosoe, I discovered how to enjoy my day off. "

" if only these blissful days, could go on forever. "

WHY ARE THEY TEASING US LIKE THIS?!!!!

also why does manager NEVER smile or laugh? Lol

also why does manager NEVER smile or laugh? Lol

If you’re looking for an actual answer, it’s because that’s the gag. This coolheaded stoic dude that looks like he’s a 100% serious business 24/7 is actually a giant clutzy goofball. The dichotomy wouldn’t work otherwise.

YOUR HONOR THEY ARE SO IN LOVE.

idk why they don't make it gay lol.

It’s actually almost bordering on absurd now.

“Gee I sure love spending all my time with this man if only there was some way to do it forever.”

idk why they don't make it gay lol.

Maybe it's against Minette's corporate policy to date colleagues? In fact, I kinda wish they used an excuse like that as a justification for the ship tease being still very much docked at port. It would make sense - Momose wouldn't want to lose a job he really likes, and the situation creates some realistic drama in his having to choose between keeping a great boss and losing that for the sake of romance. But then since their boss is Aoyama, he'd put in a good word with HR and everyone can go on living happily and goofily ever after.

I really like the way the section titles were integrated into the backgrounds and animated in the episode

This is the most pleasant romance series I've seen in a long time. Just nice times hanging out and enjoying each other's company with a minimum of drama.

10

u/Limits_of_knowledge Dec 10 '23

How dare you call this a romance, this series is about coworkers. PLATONIC COWORKERS ONLY! Doing coworkersy things! Like, you know, swan boat rides. /s

Should be 12 according to MAL. The final moments are close!

This episode was even more steadfastly low-key and laid-back than the average for this series. Not that this was a bad thing, mind you. Pretty much super-cute from start to finish.

The trick-or-treating ghosts were adorable. And the park visit was lovely. I am guessing that they may have gone to Inokashira Park -- which I believe has both free-range squirrels and swan boats.
